A 1070 is only good for 1440 and only momentarily. Unless you plan on switching GPUs in a year i wouldn't do this.

If is correct, then I would think it's worth it, but keep in mind how many/what kind of monitor(s) you'll be using. If you can go for a 1060 for a little more, then you might as well if it has 4g minimum.
