Is this game any good or is this just recommended for the writing?

Just for the writing.
But it makes the game good.

But hey, it's just my opinion, don't play it if you want some intense gameplay.

Are the characters good and charismatic?

yes
the amount and quality of dialogue with companions is just unreal

it is literally vidyakino. Tides of Numeria comes out at the end of this month

>Tides of Numeria comes out at the end of this month
Surely no one would buy inXile's crap on release, right?

Don't trust the skull

>turn-based combat
>Torment

...

>vidyakino
ludo

it's turn based?

>PST
What can change the nature of a man?
>Numenera
lol racism is bad guys!!

yes

real-time with pause is literally shit

Who cares ?
Next time you'll complain about the writing on a Bayonetta or Castlevania thread ?

It's practically a visual novel.

I believe this
>implies
that the combat will be a bit more of a focus of the game.
But maybe they'll make it a bit more like Age of Decadence when I went through the whole game not fighting anyone during my happy merchant run.

I don't remember any visual novel having good writing or decent characters.

The game is good because of its role playing elements. It has a lot of interactive dialogue, stats/skill checks, interesting opportunities to define your character, etc.

That's a good thing though. As far as I saw they emphasized dialogue even in battle and trying to talk to other characters during battle takes up a turn.

Planescape was basically Avellone's fiction. He's barely participating in the new one.

It's a fucking awful game. But yeah, it has tons of text. What you think about the quality of it is a defferent question.
