What are your hopes/expectations for the next Elder Scrolls game?
Hopes: >bring back attributes >disable health regeneration >do not use voiced protagonist >goes back to 5 piece armour >brings back levitation spells >make quest lines longer >disable fast travel in favour of paid transportation >no more dragons >protagonist isn't "the one" >only if the game doesn't suffer in other aspects put in crafting and base building >bring back original vampire/werewolf rules
Expectations: >they will remove skills in favour of some meme perk system >armour now comes in one piece >you can become guild master in 3 quests >voiced protagonist same person regardless of race >"Skyrim 2"
Michael Robinson
I hope I don't live to see it
Dominic Ramirez
>protagonist isn't "the one"
It wouldn't be an Elder Scrolls then, fucknugget.
Nathan Rivera
Hey there idiot.
Feel free to develop your own game
>>>unity >>>unreal >>>godot
No excuse.
Ian Flores
Obviously you haven't played Oblivion you fucking retard. Works much better when you are the one helping "the one".
Chase Cook
Nigger I work between 48 and 60 hours a week I don't have time to spend making video games like half of the neets on this board.
Hudson Jones
>WE WUZ KANGZ STORY >you are the incarnation of our great king from XXXXXXyears ago come to free us from slavery or some shit
Joseph Baker
morrowind with good action combat system.
Jace Foster
i pray to god that its exactly like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition
Jayden Young
top lel I work that amount as well and still have time to develop games.
Don't be a little fucking faggot complaining about someone elses game being made.
Wyatt Campbell
Hopes >dynamic region, ie. shifting sand dunes of elsweyr that cover up/expose places for long periods of time or the wandering trees of Valenwood that constantly shift the map around and cause factions to become closer/further with one another and cause micro wars and temporary alliances.
Expectations:
>game world reduced to several zones that you have to fast travel between
Daniel Martinez
I also have a girlfriend who is very demanding of my time and have social obligations to attend to. People really do have other shit going on, user.
Ryan Clark
I hope it takes place in the place Argonians come from, forgot it right now, too tired. Or at least somewhere cool and exotic like Morrowind did, and not another generic fantasy land like Oblivion and Skyrim (which was just generic viking fantasy land). Oh yeah, and attributes. I hope they learned their lesson from Fallout 4, but I'm not holding my breath.
Grayson Martin
You think they're going to back to the Arena style map? Why is that?
Matthew Martinez
>Implying
They will just release an abomination similar to FO4, it will even be more accessible and welcoming to newcomers, and people will gobble it up just like they do every time.
Why make a quality product when you can release steaming shit and people will even pay for it in advance.
Cameron Sanchez
Skyrim would have been pretty fucking cool if they took the good things from Shivering Ilses and modelled a game after it. Unfortunately they took all the shit aspects from Oblivion and built it from there.
Wyatt Lee
Hopes? Good combat and animations. Oh, and more than 5 voice actors.
Mason Brooks
>Valenwood
Give me Highrock.
Evan Davis
>shouts are still there
Levi Cook
Hopes: >sex mods >pregnancy mods >bestiality mods >rape mods >tentacle sex mods >Radiant AI Am I missing something?
Christopher Russell
>implying those don't already exist
Julian Bennett
>implying Radiant AI from Oblivion tech demo is in Skyrim
Chase Fisher
I have a wife and daughter.
I have dnd, basketball, gym and swimming commitments (Work of-course, sometimes taking me overseas for a week to 2 weeks at a time). All weekends are almost completely booked at all times.
I still manage ~3 hours 4 nights a week.
Pic related, me not being a retard.
Adrian Russell
It;s going to be Hammerfell. Sand niggers are popular amongst snowflakes and cucks nowdays.
Zachary Gray
I think a game set in Argonia/Black Marsh would be good, but Valenwood seems to be more likely, according to the leaks.
Blake Flores
I disagree with this. Oblivion felt super misplaced, with everyone cheering for Martin, never even mentioning you
I agree with not saying the character is 'the one', But more morrowind style (morrofag bias) where you are just a filthy foreigner until like 60% through the main quest having beat up countless guys to prove yourself and spending days licking the heels of these yurt-living ashlanders
Dominic Howard
>Bethesda has consistently simplified and focused on easy mechanics for their games >Everyone suddenly thinks they are going to wake up and do something completely unexpected
This is the company that has re-released Skyrim how many times?
Ian Nelson
>tfw this is the longest we had to wait for the next ES game fucking MMO
Matthew Ward
ESO is fun though, and its made by a different company.
Juan Torres
>generic pixelshit >a mobile game >a gun Wow, so impressive.
Caleb Wood
every TES is mechanically shit so stop asking for a good TES when there has never been a single one for everything a TES does right it does 4 things wrong. People like to stick with their first TES as their favorite and try to defend it when they are all just as bad from daggerfall to skyrim. Arena is worse than the other 4. Just some examples >daggerfall random generation can be broken at times, most of the skills available do nothing, racial perks only work on a single race but probably has the largest dungeons of TES and the most diverse areas overall >morrowind has shitty dice roll combat, spells were immensely broken in every aspect, introduced level scaling to TES, was the first to utilizs gamebryo and uses it more poorly than oblivion or skyrim, every skill levels to be completely broken or completely useless but morrowind probably has the best world design and character development >oblivion has horribly scripted NPCs, level scaling is worse than the other TES games, rare gear can spawn on bandits before you can find it in chests or in stores, oblivion gates are repetitive and boring, AI sometimes makes quests impossible but Oblivion probably has the best quests of any TES game and Shivering Isles is the best thing in the franchise >Skyrim has shitty quests, no information is ever given by quest givers and it just gives you a quest marker, magic is incredibly gimped, spellmaking, unarmed, acrobatics and athletics were removed, shitty shout system but skyrim probably has the best combat of a TES game and the world design was a lot better than oblivion's And if you reply with anything mentioning mods you're retarded. Don't judge a game by its mods. If you can't play something without 200 gigabytes of bodyslided futa lolis then you don't actually fucking like it. Preference in TES comes down to which game's story, setting and characters do you like best and people who try to say otherwise are straw grasping to make their taste sound superior.
Levi Hill
>bring back attributes Not going to happen. There is no function of the old attribute system that wasn't carried over into other mechanics in Skyrim. >disable health regeneration TES has never had this in the first place. >do not use voiced protagonist Impractical anyway, they aren't going to have 20 separate PC voice actors for every race/sex >goes back to 5 piece armor Don't see why they couldn't do this, FO4 had the most complex armor system of any Bethesda game >brings back levitation spells Will never happen, goes against their fundamental design theory, is functionally useless unless dungeons are arbitrarily designed with out of reach ledges like 95% of Morrowind >make quest lines longer This is a function of development time. Too much of Skyrim's was put into shit like dragons. >disable fast travel Literally never going to happen, there is no good reason for it, and Skyrim had paid carriages anyway >no more dragons Why would there be? >protagonist isn't "the one" This was only a thing in Morrowind and Skyrim, but you're not going to not be a powerful god by the end of the game anyway, so why does this bother you? >put in crafting and base building It was one of FO4's biggest selling points, they'll have it to some degree for sure >bring back original vampire/werewolf rules Not sure what this means
>Expectations Everything you wrote here is fucking retarded and you should stop posting.
Blake Wood
People knew who the Hero of Kvatch and the Champion of Cyrodiil was. Not as famous as Martin obviously but still very well-known
Not to mention he becomes Sheogorath
Jonathan Jackson
>Skyrim is six years old this year >Oblivion was only five years old when Skyrim was released
Aiden Campbell
>voiced protagonist same person regardless of race
I just fucking know this is going to happen.
>you can become guild master in 3 quests
Very likely
>they will remove skills in favour of some meme perk system >armour now comes in one piece
Doubt it but I have to say I wouldnt be THAT surprised.
Nolan Anderson
Skyrim suffered more than anything by the premature announcement of a hard release date, it clearly needed more time and I think a number of things would have been much better if they had taken it. Thankfully it looks like they're taking it this time around with TESVI.
Daniel Lewis
>Skyrim was 6 years ago
Isaiah Hall
TES VI will be absolutely atrocious The only thing in TES VI that will be "better than a previous game" will be that it'll likely have a hardcore/survival mode either at the beginning or in an early patch - literally everything else will be worse
Blake Carter
Bethesda realized lazy development wouldn't work after fallout 4 sold worse than their previous games and faced mediocre reviews across the board by players. That's why they said they "Didn't have the technology" for TESVI yet, meaning they're either thinking of a way to make a better game or they're holding out on the community until we lap up whatever they put out
Henry Price
>Oblivion was 20 years ago
Connor Gonzalez
I just really fucking hope that they improve the quests this time
Fuck "radiant quests", they're utter fucking shit
Austin Nguyen
>Not going to happen. There is no function of the old attribute system that wasn't carried over into other mechanics in Skyrim. Speed and Agility. A level 1 character moves as fast and jumps as high as a level 999 one
Kevin Davis
PAID
MOD
Nathaniel Peterson
>tfw no speed, athletics, or acrobatics really annoyed me
Luke Allen
>A level 1 character moves as fast and jumps as high as a level 999 one Incorrect, your speed increases at a flat rate as you level up. Jump height does not increase but resistance to fall damage does, and that was a function of Acrobatics anyway, not attributes.
Jayden Jackson
>Hopes/Expectations >Bethesda
I expect they'll fuck it up completely.
Benjamin Foster
yeah this is a great example; gaining reputation so people notice you and your efforts. This is how a game should be designed.
Andrew Richardson
SO AMAZING BRO, YOU'RE A REAL GAME DEV NOW
Tyler Collins
>A painter has become trapped in his own magical painting! Go into the painting and save him! >A painter has become trapped in his own magical painting! Go into this draugr dungeon to find an artifact that will pull him out.
Parker Ward
The problem with Black Marsh is that unless they do some really funky shit with the lore, you're playing as an Argonian, because 90% of the province (which is independent of the empire now) is lethal to everyone but Argonians.
Jordan Murphy
Holy fuck this one hits hard
Cameron Jones
Fix the fucking world so it's not so goddamn static
>Murder the emperor >nobody gives a shit >even when I join the imperial army
also fuck the guards >screams "HAIL SITHIS" at me in the middle of the day at the middle of the market
Bentley Morgan
Hopes: like morrowind but actually bother to animate the "miss miss miss" so more immersion and casuals don't feel alienated Have all of MW's features and more More factions, weapon classes, magic effects (think stuff like water walking and shit)
Expectations: -lore rape -less features than in skyrim -more handholding and main quest on rails
Kayden Rivera
>with everyone cheering for Martin, never even mentioning you >HERO OF KWATCH >SAVIOR OF BRUMA >CHAMPION OF WHOLE FUCKING CYRODIIL AND BY PROXY THE WHOLE FUCKING EMPIRE >CHAMPION OF THE ARENA >ESTEEMED MEMBER OF THE BLADES >MEMBER OF ALL GUILDS >LISTENER OF THE DARK BROTHERHOOD >MOTHERFUCKING GREY FOX
YES IM FUCKING MAD GO FUCK YOURSELF WITH A LAMP POLE
Lincoln Gray
This isn't really that hard, just needs some creativity.
>Mysterious antagonistic source has caused many of the swamps in Black Marsh to drain >The disruption to the ecosystem has made it more accessible to outsiders >Ayleid ruins are uncovered, attracting bandits etc. >Pissed off Dunmer start pushing back into the province from the north using new routes, Argonians having difficulty resisting because of disruption to subsistence farming >Empire seizes opportunity to come in and play hero, setting the stage for a civil war between desperate peasants who want protection and old guard An-Xileel holdouts who refuse to ally >Whatever your race, you are Argonian thanks to the Hist and you get Hist powers or some shit, I don't know >Antagonist is an evil Hist tree
John Howard
It was always too hard for armies to move around there because of the huge logistics. Hardened individuals would have easier time to travel in there. Still desiese though
Asher Ramirez
Argonians could use a bit of spotlight but let's be real, normies demand most of the region to be humans so elves and beast regions are nono Skyrim was perfect because it was released exactly at the low/grim/GoT-like fantasy peak, it fit incredibly well with mainstream tastes
Jason Martinez
What kind of third world country you live that you need to work 60h a week. I bet it is Murica
