Which Dynasty Warriors

I want to gift my twin brother a video game and he told me he liked Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors years ago.

We only have a PS3 but what game from the catalog would be best? Is 8 the newest?

samurai warriors is on sale on PSN right now user, you could grab it for 10 bucks and give it a try. also IIRC the recent warriors games were riddled with DLC

Both WO3 and DW8 are pretty bad on PS3/X360. They suffer from very limited number of enemies on-screen.

Buy PC or - if you really need console - PS4.

DW8 is best Dynasty Warriors game and MO3 has greatest number of playable characters.

Not being able to kill 50+ enemies at once because your console can render only 20 of them is really fun-breaking.

If he also likes mecha, get him this.

i recommend samurai warriors over dynasty warriors. for whatever reason it has more satisfying combat.
