This is 100% inexcusable. The hard mode should have been in the game on day 1 without having to pay extra. Fuck Nintendo.

It's Nintendo, what the hell did you expect?

Thank you for saving the day again, Captain Obvious.

I'm learning to expect worse and worse.

This is a good mindset to have with modern gaming.

>NEW hard mode
That implies that there is one already

I wonder what kind of hard mode is going to be added since the game already has a hard mode.

>new hard mode
You know that doesn't necessarily meant that there is no hard mode in the game at launch, right, only that the hard mode you get from the DLC is "new" in relation to whatever is in the game at launch.

mite be cool if they remix enemy placement or their weapon quality for the whole map. Or make it real bullshit, like having bokoblins no longer drop armor/weapons and you gotta forge shit for yourself.

But I don't think it's too hasty to assume it just means enemies tank and/or do more damage. The bad thing about this is you are forced to buy the whole pack just for the new story and dungeon, which is the only stuff 99% of players will give a shit about.

Super DUPER Hard Mode

>"If you choose to have Link not wear any clothes, you can play the game on a harder difficulty setting, because he will now take far more damage then normal. This can be considered hard mode." -Aonuma during Treehouse gameplay

Wat is new hard mode then? Enemies take less damage or something?

>NEW Hard Mode

>all the music is replaced by BA BAs

Hero mode. receive double damage lol sooOoo hard

I hate the argument people are fucking making
>T-there already is a hard mode this is just a new one
Games have had addition difficulty settings for fucking years now without you having to pay and your going to open your ass for nintendo?

That might actually be a challenge, since this time they allow enemies to gang-rape you instead of fight one at a time.

You start the game dead.

My guess is, its a new hard mode like the one for Twilight Princess HD.
-Normally, its hard mode is playing in Master Quest mode, where the number of healing hearts becomes limited.
-Scanning the Ganondorf amiibo causes you to be able to go through the same mode, but Link takes double the damage from attacks.

I guess Nintendo is doing something like this again. Which again, is a shitty practice, since that function should have been in the game instead of locked behind a mcdonald's toy.

Weapons and gear break twice as fast.

Nintendo is slow to everything, this is them going into the 2007 phase of jewing consumers with dlc.

what if its like a Master Quest version of the game with remixed dungeons and the like

Its probably a master quest like hard mode. Where they need to take the time to remix all the item locations and create new puzzles.

That's already in. Aonuma confirmed, if you equip no clothing on Link, he takes much more damage then normal.

Hard mode DLC has been done for years though, look at Metro and Resident Evil 7.

Aonuma confirmed in the treehouse stream that there is a hard mode in the game already, in that if you give Link no clothes, he takes tons more damage then normal. That is the normal hard mode.

Even further back than that.

If this new Hard Mode is something like Master Quest, I don't have a huge problem with it. If it's just that enemies do more damage, then it's fucking pointless.

Wow, Nintendo is truly ahead of its time, only surpassed by every single RPG ever made

No, the question is, if that's normal hard mode, then what the fuck is this new hard mode Nintendo is locking behind a paywall? Why pay for something you already have in the game?

>"Fucking garbage Nintendo not having hard mode in the game"
>But it is in the game.
>"Fucking garbage Nintendo can't even do hard mode right"

Are you happy with yourself?

That all doesn't seem like much for $20. I wonder what the "new map feature" is supposed to be, because that sounds like maybe a $5 DLC at most.

$20 in, say Hyrule Warriors, nets you a bunch of new characters, skins, weapons, and missions.

>Hard mode is intentionally gimping yourself
Thats not a hard mode.

Thats like saying the original final fantasy has a hard mode by going through with no weapons or armor.

>Zelda 1 had rings to increase defense but a player could ignore them if they wanted the game to be more challenging
>Zelda 2 had a defense magic spell a player could ignore if they wanted the game to be more challenging
>Zelda 3 had suits of armor Link could have to increase defense but a player could ignore if they wanted more challenge

>Aonuma gets involved with making Zelda games
>No more challenge ever again

? Who are you quoting?

oh hey, is this the hourly nintendo shitpost thread where we autistically screech over irrelevant shit while conveniently ignoring that sony has done the exact same shit for years?

No, it's the Nintendo dicksucking thread where we conveniently justify its jewery by screaming that Sony did it first, and that makes it ok

I dont give a fuck, OP is a crying manbaby. DLC exist because the content gets developed AFTER the main game is fuill and finished so if that DLC didn't exist Zelda wouldn't have a hard mode or the additional dungeon. What the fuck is wrong with more content? I'm glad Nintendo's making it and I'm buying it for sure. You can be shitting and pissing on your diapers while I do so.

>Aonuma: "We intentionally added in that the only clothing you equip in the game, makes you take less damage, for the sole purpose to give players a hard mode option."
>You: "That doesn't count."

"Ok"
Nice that you think it doesn't count, but the creator seems to think it does.

Hardcucks BTFO

next time consider playing the game on the difficulti it's meant to be played

If they're putting enough thought into it to make it a DLC, then it's not going to just be a damage dealt/received tweak. It's probably going to add more/harder versions of enemies.

It could also make it so you can't just pause mid fight to heal off all the food you can cram into your inventory.

>add new hard mode
>NEW hard mode
>NEW
there is hero mode built in already. this will me more akin to master Quest

Just like Master Quest huh

Good to know that neglecting some heart pieces means I'm playing on hard mode.

This will inspire other publisher to tell the developer to separate difficulty level and sell it as individial DLCs.

Doesnt matter. Normalfags will buy it. Companies will keep doing it. Until you can convince an entire demographic that their standards are too low this will keep happening.

>Dead rising 4
>Resident evil 7
>Last of Us
It's only bad when Nintendo does it.

is it a new version of hard mode or literally just hard mode?

>Nintendo
>setting any current standard
pfffff

>Zelda DLC
What the fuck? Really?

>Additional Map feature
What does that even mean?

>New Hard Mode
>You play as Zelda

Tingle Tuner

>DLC exist because the content gets developed AFTER the main game is fuill and finished

>he doesn't know that dlc IS the main game, just cut out to be sold piecemeal to suckers later on

>only get 70% of rupees link gets
>male NPCs harass you all the time
>special event where you get raped

that should teach you thing or two about women's issues

>they all had it
>all were pretty shit

Zelda confirmed being shit.

>The hard mode should have been in the game on day 1 without having to pay extra.
>when ever zelda hard mode to date has cost the price of the full game
it's 60% cheaper than ever before

Zelda games never had a difficulty option, the master quest game was also done way later as a bonus for the fans. This is nothing but giving extra replay value to the fans of the game that want something new. They're getting some extra time to make it by releasing it as dlc and I'm fine with that.

"optional" difficulty like that is a garbage game design.

But nintendrone fans said is okay because nintendo does it best

New clothing.

>selling difficulties seperately
>ever okay

What next, alternate control scheme DLC? Rumble Feature?

If it's a master quest equivalent that's ine thing, but fuck, games like doom and elder scrolls come with like fucking 5 or 6 difficulties vanilla

What the actual fuck

At some point later down the road i wont be surprised if they lock the X and Y buttons behind a paywall

If it should be in the game day 1, why didn't they add it as day 1 bonus for buying it? It's almost as if it's not ready.

underrated post

>Additional map feature
What the fuck does this even mean, holy shit.
Even Ubisoft and any other company gives free updates that give shit like this nowadays.
This is embarassing, Nintendo is just like 10 years behind.
I wonder if in about 7 years they'll start going SJW.

What about hero mode?

Probably a treasure chest locator or something lel

Can you guys please try to tone down the autism? The game is out in a couple weeks, we'll know then if there's a hard mode in the game already.

They already did this with majoras mask

0.02 WAHOOs have been deposited into your account

>new hard mode
that should be a NG+ unless they are adding unique enemies and more content in some form

>Nintendo DLC is mandatory to enjoy a game

Calm your autism, buddy

This really needs a smuggie

>haha you said Nintendo is outdated well now they are still outdated but have season pass and paid online, wow you sure look stupid now

Do you really think that's the case for 100% of DLC?

>Rumble Feature?
With how much money Nintendo poured into this HD rumble thing I wouldn't be surprised if they did this to make some quick cash. That's the reason that 1,2 Switch is sold separately.

Considering that many enemies can deal a shitload of damage to you if you aren't careful in the base game, I'm going to guess that there's more to "hard mode" than just jacking up the damage.

It's pretty dumb of them to reveal this before launch, though.

You can't use confusing terms like New Game+ on a Nintendo announcement!

>new hard mode
>play as naked link with raging boner the entire time

>paying for a difficulty setting
honestly wow

well second quest then zelda has always had that

People don't nealize the "new hard mode" is different to the base hard mode?

Then they'd probably be calling it Master Quest and not Hard Mode.

>One of these treasure chests will contain a shirt with a Nintendo Switch logo that Link can wear during his adventure, exclusive to the Expansion Pass.

Thanks, based Nintendo!

What were some of the more abstract theories involving MM, like the game being purgatory, that kind of thing?

If the new hard mode was similar to master quest, why would they not just mention that so people stop sperging about shit dlc?

Because Zelda fans will buy it regardless and the only people angry about it were never even planning to buy the game.

"additional map features"

when released: WE ADDED 2 ROCKS YOU CAN HIT FOR SOME RUPEES

hahahahahahahah

>wearing the Switch Shirt while playing the WiiU version
oh the irony

>"new"
