Nintendo Switch

Is this about right?

You are an autist

you must realize that this is a handheld and because of that they'll have versions available for both.

>they'll have versions available for both.
what?

a lot on the right is incorrect

how is security concerns a con? obviously no company wants their shit to be hacked

every thing is right, except the voice chat part.

>buying non-hackable consoles

Yep
And the more I learn about it the worse it seems

Middle-Generation? Motherfucker you think the ps4 pro and scorpio aren't the new consoles?

>nintendo launches new console with 5 games
>sony and ms launch new consoles with 1000+ games
For your sake, I hope not. Mid generation is better

>>sony and ms launch new consoles with 1000+ games

>sony and ms launch new consoles with 6 and 5 games respectively

Fixed that for you

But the PS4pro and scorpio have a library of 1000+ games each, where are you getting 6 and 5?

Aside from the two "too expensive" points (which are opinions) the list just states facts.
Well maybe "too big to fit in your pocket" is no fact either, there are some sad creatures on earth who wear dungarees after all.

2 halo gun skins were deposited into your xbl account

The Japanese are retarded

Too expensive is a fact dude.

Nice try but we all know he's getting paid in PSN money.

>largest powergap ever in handheld gaming
>underpowered
Wat

>1000*

*indie shit,remakes,virtual console games

You only count exclusives.

There are 731 games for the wii u according to Wikipedia. If someone made a thread. WHY DONT YOU OWN A WII U IT HAS OVER 700 GAMES it would be killed.

The wii u has about 15 games

>The Japanese are retarded
Nintendo's business partners aren't going to shit on their hardware. It's in their best interest that it succeeds otherwise their development resources were wasted making games for it

>Mid generation

Switch, PS4 Pro, and Squorpio are all 9th gen while XBone, PS4, and Wii U are all gen 8

I'm glad we are going back to the old way of doing things instead of 8+ years per generation

The reasoning behind buying a Nintendo console and buying a Sony or MS console is different though. People look at Nintendo console in terms of its exclusives because that's what you buy them for, there's no other reason to buy a Nintendo console. People look at PS4 and Xbone in terms of the entire library because most people who buy one don't have a PC and its their only gaming device, so the whole library matters

Finally you say Switch is launching with 5 games, that includes only 3 exclusives, 2 of which look like shovelware. Just like no one is going to mention Knack in a list of great PS4 games

>that this is a handheld

Not until we see a mainline Pokemon.

>boring ass zelda games
>ever a pro

It's only roughly 3x more powerful than the Vita in handheld mode. For a device 6 years older, that's not a huge power gap. Not remotely.

>$300 is too much money
Stopped right there.

>b-but PS4 and Xbone are what the Switch costs with a game!
So the fuck what, they've been out 3.5 goddamn years and I already have both and neither had anything CLOSE to as good as Zelda until year two, much less Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2 and Xenoblade 2.

>subjective opinions passed as objective and alternate facts as cons.
Sup Forums needs to be purged again

>$300 is too much money
For a rebranded nvidia shield tablet, yes, yes it is
>Stopped right there.
I don't think you know what this phrase means, or even the constituent words that make it up

>b-but PS4 and Xbone are what the Switch costs with a game!
Actually you can get either of them for $250 right now with the pack-in. And judging by last year, $250 will probably become the normal price.
>So the fuck what, they've been out 3.5 goddamn years and I already have both and neither had anything CLOSE to as good as Zelda until year two, much less Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2 and Xenoblade 2.
Odyssey and Xeno2 might not even be out this YEAR. And Zelda is already on the pro list, it looks like a good game, no denying it. But it's also on the Wii U and it's the only game for months

...

Sony has a total of about 12 high profile exclusives, excluding any ports from ps3, the majority of which either came out this year or have yet to come out.
The switch appears to have about 5-7 (depending on if you think Arms is worth it, also not including Mario Kart 8 remake).
I can list if you want?

Anyone can type up a fake email and put someone's picture next to it

>too underpowered
It's very powerful for a handheld

>amiibos
Not a flaw with the system itself

>no web browser
You realize 3DS released without web browser, right?

Switch will never have a web browser
Screenshot this

>this is what Nintendo thinks is a great launch title worth $60

Doesn't matter, modders will find a way.

Pretty much.

Don't forget

>no Monster Hunter

i just wanted to beat the shit out of your post but after reading it, most of what's in the list is actually true.
No pack-in game (not even any game bundles like WiiU had with ZombiU and Nintendoland).

No web browser, no youtube, no streaming anything, nothing to use your WiFi for when you actually have the Switch on idle or in handheld-mode.

And I don't even care about Paid Online or 3hours battery life.

So what do you guys actually do once you have your hand on the switch? Just play Zelda for 10 hours, switch off the console-handheld and do that for the next few weeks?

>no analog triggers

But that's a pro. Fucking hate those things. Ruins so many otherwise good controllers.

Funniest part is that for Wii U owners, there is literally no point in buying Switch.

>Actually you can get either of them for $250 right now with the pack-in. And judging by last year, $250 will probably become the normal price.
If you speak about the regular PS4, go down another step because they're currently selling those for 250$ with 2 controllers and a game.
I'd say when the Switch comes out, we'll be looking at a base price for the PS4 with no extras at ~200$.

>what are gonna do play games on your game console?

Fuckin nintendrones amirite. Everyone knows consoles are for Netflix and web browsers

>slap a few gimmicks and a Nintendo logo on a Nvidia Shield
>up the price by 100 bucks
>"just right"
>"it's cheap"

Kek. When will the Japs learn?
Also in my country it's 400 fucking bucks.

pretty....

....much.

Yeah, go a step backward and remove the screenshot button already. Share? What a joke. There's no need for any social platforms on a VIDEOGAME console, kek.
Miiverse was a mistake, only creating security issues and more moderators to pay in order to make it work.

>people still want to buy a Nintendo console on launch after Wii and Wii U

Holy fuck. Talk about efficient marketing.

MOOOOOOODS

>from ps2 level to nearly ps4 level in one generation gap
Nah son. That shit is huge.

>Mid-generation

the fuck is that supposed to mean. especially in this day and age where PC games are more often than not graphical shithorses. what defines a mid generation for fuckstakes.

but zeldan

The same thing I did with my gamecube, my ps1, and my SNES which also lacked a web browser and youtube

Play video games.

The Switch can just about do Wii U games. It's still stuck in the previous gen.

>switch
>ps4 level
>even when docked
You should be banned. PS4 is about 5-6 times more powerful than the Switch is when docked. probably 10 times more powerful when handheld.

>5-6 times more powerful
Hmmm... Those are some pretty specific numbers

Source?

But the Switch only has one video game worth playing for months. The rest are just old indie titles and shovelware.

PS4 is 1.4x more powerful than the Switch at best. Not even twice the power. Your shitty vita port doesn't prove anything.

Miiverse IS a waste though. I never used it. Will probably never press the share button either.

Nintendrones really are autistic.
And before you reply with the inevitable, I'm not the same guy

You're all wrong. It's exactly 9.364 times more powerful than the switch. I checked

>5-6
>specific

>Too expensive is a fact dude.
$300 is not expensive

Even the eurogamer leaked specs that are pathetic make it so that the Switch is just behind the PS4 in power. You don't know anything about technology apparently.

kid

>beign so entitled that you want those free games forever and not just for 30 days
be glad that nintendo gives you these "roms" (aka masterpieces).

doesn't matter. MONSTER HUNTER!

Nice ad hom! Just admit "that guy" got shrekt, beeyotch

>PS4 is 1.4x more powerful than the Switch at best
it's got 7x the memory bandwidth, 2x the RAM. Any places where they look even remotely close (theoretical double precision fp) will not reflect the reality when you see how bottlenecked the GPU is by the lack of bandwidth compared to the PS4. Even the Xbox One will run circles around the Switch.

>leaks

Oh. Do you want to buy 4 year old tablet for 300 bucks then?

It's not expensive.

Does it play Zelda?

I don't think anyone wants to pay 60 dollars for a bomberman game

Yes.

Switch is 170 gflops in handheld mode, 390 gflops in docked mode

PS4 is 1840 gflops

This means PS4 is 11x more powerful than the handheld Switch and 4.7x more powerful than the docked Switch

Do you know what flops means?
Just curious. Don't google it either.

Floating point power

Basically games is a bunch of match, geometric calculations. points in x,y, z space that are connected and filled in with textures

Your floating point performance determines how fast you can render, which ultimately determines things like resolutions and frame rates

match = math*

>all those cons
>most of which apply to almost every console and handheld launch of the last decade

I have it pre-ordered

Not him, but it's a pointless measure of performance here given they're different architectures and the fact that Maxwell doesn't even really support asynchronous shading.

Pixel fillrate and memory bandwidth will more accurately reflect the power of the two devices.

Damn, you are so fucking affraid, it's getting desperate.
you plan to run your car on a gamestop at release day, right?

>No voice chat

Didn't they say there's going to be voice chat for online?

the left side total game duration doesn't even reach 100 hours, the fuck are sonyggers fucking smoking?

>no argument for a huge list of negatives
>y-you're so afraid

They did.

You DO live in a bubble, huh? I feel pitty for people like you, the number of amazing experiences you miss because they aren't made by Nintendo. God have mercy on your soul.

Anyway

GravityRush2 = 35-50hours
Yakuza0 = 50-120 hours
NioH = 45-90 hours
RE7 is the only actually short game here, clocking below 10 hours
NieR A = NieR hours (AKA 25-40 hours)
Persona5 = 40-70 hours
