Why do people say this game is easy...

Why do people say this game is easy? It took me over 70 hours to beat this and after 8 hours I was only on the gargoyles. And I died to O&S like 50 times. The game only got "easy" after you fully upgrade your gear, and post Anor Londo when you can one to two shot most mooks.

I beat Ninja Gaiden Black and DMC3 on normal mode and found them far easier than this.

When you say a hard game was easy for you, it proves to everyone that you're a tough guy with a big penis.

Any game with a reputation of being hard is automatically "easy" for Sup Forums. DS is hard the first time for most people but once you're use to it naked runs without a shield aren't even that hard anymore.

Souls takes a different mentality, too. More patience, less aggression. I handled my first Souls game a lot better than the average person because it suited how I play and think, it clicked with me. Whereas DMC3? I literally can't even beat the Reaper miniboss at the beginning on Normal difficulty except in the much easier SE.

> 70 hours
it took me 70hours to finish the game 3 times

Same reason people claim Dark Souls 3 was the easiest in the series; they've familiarized themselves with the gameplay so it provides less of a challenge. There is no "hardest" or "easiest" souls game, the one you start with is gonna provide you with the most challenge since it's new to you. If you've played everything up to 3, then it's not gonna be as challenging because it's all the same shit with a new coat of paint. It's all just pattern recognition and reaction time.

on my third play through of dark souls 2 I won it in one day. I needed the last spell to get all trophies

It depends how slow of a learner you are

>70 hours
Jesus christ
But in all seriousness, do you usually play faster paced games like DMC 3? I'm almost always playing much faster paced games, and found that when playing dark souls I just had to learn to take my time a lot more and adapt to the pace of the game. It took some getting used to, but I got there eventually.

First playthrough is always the longest. Anyone with half a brain can go back and clear a Souls game in under 4 hours once they know where everything is. I finished BB and its DLC three times within 50 hours and got all of the achievements including the chalice stuff. Wasn't even speedrunning, my first playthrough was like 30 hours long and I managed to clear every boss and acquire every weapon.

I didn't find out about backstabs until like Blighttown and I was scared to even block against the gargoyles at first cause I just assumed they'd destroy my guard (both Black Knights absolutely wrecked me).

Also I like fatrolled for a bit. Blighttown and Sens Fortress were probably the peak of the game's difficulty for me. Also found the painted world kind of hard only cause of those nutsack hollows that toxin you. Anor Londo was easier than those other than O&S of course and the Pro Snipers that kept knocking me off the ledge.

Gameplay is "untraditional" in modern standards so it throws you off. People who've already beat it 100 hundred times are telling you it's easy. Honestly, I'd tell you it's piss easy too since I don't struggle with any Souls game any more these days, but my first playthroughs of DaS and DeS were embarrassing as fuck.

Did someone say I didn't have a big penis? Because that isn't true.
Dark souls is easy and my penis is not small.

If you thought Dark Souls 1 was hard, wait until you play Dark Souls 2. You'd probably quit 2 hours in.

>it took me 70 hours to beat skyrim its so hard!

thats what you sound like 70 hours for any rpg game is nothing

I spent like 60 hours on my first playthrough, but that's because I'm a huge autist who likes to explore and collect shit and upgrade things that I probably won't even use. I don't think any boss took me more than 7 tries.

dark souls 2 was easy as fuck.

I quit after 2 days. came back 2 weeks late.
now it's the beat game I played on the ps3 with 270+ hours

planning to get this after I beat NG+ and make another character. Didn't realize that beating Gwyn automatically sends you yo NG+. Didn't even get to do the dlc at all.

Is it better to do the dlc like right after NG+ or just make a new character? I'm like level 90ish, have to check.

I think my first time fighting Kalameet was the only boss that took me a double digit amount of tries. Didn't keep count, but I know it took a while.

this is the way i imagined most people would play it here. its really how i get enjoyment out of rpgs. mindless grinding and autistic scavenging are my favorite things.

bump

Shoudlnt you just have fun with the game? im not worried at how much i suck, i just try to enjoy the fighting.

this

im the same as op, the first playthrough took me a long fucking time and I died a lot

nowadays I can make it to O&S in under 2 hours but in the beginning it was a challenge

If you can actually roll and parry the game could not be less challenging.
