DEFEND THIS RIGHT NOWWWW

DEFEND THIS RIGHT NOWWWW

I have a job.

rekt

it is 100% optional content

and?

Nowhere near launch

Content still months away is still withheld content.

how do you know?

No it isn't

we /ubisoft/ now

You are right. The game should've been delayed to holiday 2017

The content should be given away for free after the game releases. There's literally no reason why they shouldn't, except for corporate greed.

...

Because otherwise you wouldn't be able to finish the game for the next 9 months

rekt x2

>things that should be already in the game is optional content

>everything up to DLC Pack 2 could have been in the game already

It's okay when Nintendo does it.
Just conveniently ignore that we've been shitting all over other companies for having DLC and saying Nintendo is the last company that makes REAL games, while we've been hoarding amibos

>this optional content neither adds nor detracts from the main game experience but i'm going to bitch about it anyway
petty

only falseflaggers say shit like that in the first place.

so...this...is...the...power.....of....swicth

same shitposts, over and over. I'll still get the game and enjoy it day 1
>b-b-but the DLC!
I'll pirate it if I feel it adds anything really worth getting, once the bulk of it is released over half a year later.

The desperation of shitposters to try and make this game look bad is astounding, and the more gameplay footage that gets put out there the better it looks every time.

Not having every single difficulty mode standard DOES hamper the game. I don't want to play some casual crap.

He can afford cheap dlc with his paycheck
Not that hard to grasp genius

it comes with a standard hard mode already, it specifically says new hard mode for dlc.
don't worry, you still get to feel superior about nothing.

Zelda is one of the most casual baby shit series of all time aside from 2 and maybe 1.

I don't understand why you can't break out the content you want.

That doesn't even make it a "pass". There is no "bundle" here, you're just buying one block of DLC that gets pushed over a course of months. That's more like an "expansion pack".

>it comes with a standard hard mode already,
but the standard hard mode has always been terrible. They don't even change enemy AI, it just makes everything tankier.

>This isn't the first Zelda to have DLC
>This isn't the first game to have a season pass
>it's completely optional
>people have been wanting expansions for Zelda games for years, Nintendo are finally giving it to you

Pick one or all.

the only thing remotely like an expansion pack is dlc pack 2

I pick the option where they release the Zelda game at a lower price, preferably 20 dollars, so it doesn't feel like a ripoff.

>b-but it's a full game

nope. That only applies if I can get about 5000 hours out of it.

come on now

So the dlc will probably make them even more of a bullet sponge. It's nothing to complain or get excited about because it's more of the same.

>it comes with a standard hard mode already

Stop spouting this bullcrap, there's no evidence for this.

This game will need hard mode to be worthwhile and I see no point in playing it until it is available. My only hope is that they have a damn good reason to delay hard mode and that it isn't some bullshit extra damage thing that should have been released day one. The fact that it's called "new hard mode" as opposed to Hero Mode or using rings/Ganon to make enemies more damaging does legitimately give me hope for something more substantial.

...

Ao-New-ma Hard Mode: every enemy is now an Octorok.

Other games get DLC in a similar vain to this. Why or how is this any different?

>that only applies if I can get about 5000 hours out of it
Wtf is this bullshit standard. I've never put anything close to 5000 hours into a game. Name 5 single player games that claim you can get 5000 hours out of there game.

So it's wrong to expect a game to have some quality? Or to expect better? I thought nintendo was above other corporate institutitions, and they actually put effort into their hard modes. why do they feel complacent to be lazy now?

I can safely say that I've never enjoyed a game that got this kind of DLC, regardless of company. The only DLC I'll even tolerate is of the cosmetic variety.

Games have been getting "additional content" since at least the 90's. Get over it.

>So it's wrong to expect a game to have some quality? Or to expect better?

There's expecting quality, then there is being a complete and total retard and expecting a game to be both cheap yet offer content that will last in excess of 5000 hours.

>NINTENDO

because those games are shit on while this game is being treated as the second coming of christ, even though it's faling for every shitty gaming meme in the past 7 years.

The switch and zbotw aren't quality. So you shouldn't expect quality from it.

Any game with a strong focus on a good singleplayer experience can easily reach 5000 hours. Like Dwarf Fortress for instance. The presence of a modding community only enhances that.

I would kill myself if I spent 5000 hours on a single game

fuck

That doesn't have 5000 hours worth of content though, that's just what you're willing to put into a game. I replay MGS1 every year since release, that's a lot of hours total, but you don't see me saying it has 5000 hours worth of content do you?

Stop being retarded.

...

I don't need to defend it, I don't need to buy it, you don't need to buy it and you shouldn't need to have decisions/arguments made for you by random strangers on a Swahili marionette show board.

lazy

>Something takes place after the development cycle of a game should be free

>he posts this on a board that laughed at xbots paying for online for years, then as soon as Sony had paid online, defends it with everything they've got

If you're going to shitpost at least make it funny.

>That doesn't have 5000 hours worth of content though, that's just what you're willing to put into a game
Actually, it does have that amount of content since it doesn't rely on crutches like graphics or story. That means it holds up under far harsher scrutiny.

Have they said what these do yet?

Do they need these if hey are doing DLC?

And that's a problem because?

But it literally doesn't. You're saying it does based upon time invested and bias, not actual physical game content.

>defend an expansion pack
The concept doesn't need defending.

Every Zelda game since Skyward Sword has had this, including Ocarina of Time 3D and the HD Remasters.

>people still believe this

>waaah good games don't need good graphics, back in muh day we played pong

>waaah botw graphics look like shit

stay cheesey Sup Forums

There's no modding community for zbotw, so your argument is invalid.
>any game with a sting focus on a good singleplayer experience can easily reach 5000 hours
Still can't name 5 games.
No, if you love a game enough to play 5000 hours of it, then fine. But devs aren't responsible to providing 5000 hours of content for $60. A game with 5000 hours of content would cost way more. Some of the biggest games out right now only offer hundreds of hours of content. Just because you're autistic enough to plug 5000 hours into a singleplayer game doesn't mean that is the industry standard.

>physical game content

It's the only roguelike in all of history that actually does procedural content right, and has an infnite amount of content to enjoy. Not infinite as in "No man's sky ie everything is a reskin" infinite, but literally every event grows naturally and happens on its own paces-infinite.

Everyone else is doing it

wow it's almost like there's two groups of people with differing opinions in the same place
shit man, wow

I won't defend it.

I can't wait for the Switch to be as big of a failure as the Wii U (Probably more so!) hahaha!

It should've been one big Holiday 2017 Expansion instead of 2 parts

that way people would stop bitching

It's okay when Nintendo does it. Seriously. They've built up enough good will over the years that it's quite petty to point to their DLC practices or their C&Ding of fanmade content or their removal of long-established features like internet browsers and call them a bad company.

>wahhh dlc sucks all modern games are open world trash

>wahhh it's okay when nintendo does it, what's wrong with dlc?

>No, if you love a game enough to play 5000 hours of it, then fine. But devs aren't responsible to providing 5000 hours of content for $60
Actually, they are. That's what I'm paying money for

stop sheld on

>procedural content

So what you want for vidya is not rich and developed content that's worth your money, but a random number generator? just no user.

Actually, my argument is this:

>why does Zelda need to charge for DLC when the base game is already 60 bucks, and Nintendo is charging for amiibos and online fees?

>I don't mind the graphics, but it's disgusting that Zelda can't even reach 30 FPS, let alone 60 FPS

Nintendo spent more time nickel and diming the customer than actually working on optimization.

considering the development on this game took 4+ years just €60 per cartridge won't cover the cost, push out some dlc though and soon it's all profit

>It's okay when Nintendo does it
>everyone loses their shit
>news sites reporting that it's split the fanbase
>few people have high hopes
>It's okay when Nintendo does it
Drop the meme.

Yes, and that's exactly why my opinion of this depend on how they handle it. If they're just locking Hero Mode behind a paywall and delaying it for months, then that's just garbage.

It's not like you didn't buy Ocarina of Time for the Gamecube as well, for the hard mode, user

That wasn't the point. The point was that there's no damn reason to be entitled to get content made after the development cycle of a game for free unless it was some sort of stretch goal in a crowdfunding or advertised to bring free additional content.

>but a random number generator?
Unlike DLC, RNG can be done right if done in moderation.

Good job missing the point.

Very different scenario, shill.

(you)

The point was that that isn't what the DLC is though.

Then don't expect to pay $60 for it dip. Expect to pay way more. Stop acting like you're entitled to hours of gameplay you didn't even pay for. Doesn't matter if you feel like you deserve more hours for $60, that's not the world we live in bud. All your post are full of wishful thinking. If you're unsatisfied with the quality of the game then be like me and don't buy it.

>The point was that there's no damn reason to be entitled to get content made after the development cycle of a game for free
Except for the fact that you already charged me 60 bucks, therefore I'm entitled to every single thing in your game? If you can't give me that content for free, don't make it at all.

Bitch.

And?

>Unlike DLC

Yet there is more fantastically built DLC and expansion packs than titles that use procedural content because no one wants to see the same shit arranged differently, they want new experiences.

>pay $40
>get a game
>alternate version with extensively redesigned dungeons and minidungeons is included

>pay $60
>get a game
>pay $20 extra for a difficulty toggle

ffff

>If you're unsatisfied with the quality of the game then be like me and don't buy it.
This. Piracy on Wii U isn't too hard nowadays.

But it isn't in the game you moron. It's literally being added into the game. Are you usually this daft or are you shitposting now?

seeIf you want to charge for your DLC, don't charge 60 bucks. Charge maybe 20 dollars.

>people on this board are literally defending nintendo making a season pass, and a pay2win gamble roulette mobile game

I always thought nu-Sup Forums was a meme.

IT'S OK WHEN NINTENDO DOES IIIIIIIIIITTT

>Yet there is more fantastically built DLC and expansion packs
I'm gonna go ahead and stop reading there. there's no such thing as a "good DLC" unless it's cosmetic.

...

>there's no such thing as a "good DLC"

So you were just shitposting the entire time? well good to know now I can leave this thread.

>But it isn't in the game you moron
If they're announcing it before it's even released, then it's in the game. They're just pretending that they're still working on it.

You mean the Ocarina of Time that came free with The Wind Waker?

>want to play hard mode in my copy of OoT on the n64
>locked behind a $180 pay wall

Fucking Nintendo
