Vidya forum rage

>search Google for a fix on an error for game
>goes to vidya support forum, where there's already a topic about this
>"any way i can fix this?"
>"yeah man, just go to [ REGISTER NOW TO SEE THE LINK ] and you'll be up and running in no time."
If any forum admins who do this are on here,
F U C K
>F U C K
Y O U
>Y O U
Literally no one wants to ACTUALLY USE YOUR SHITTY SITE. THEY ONLY COME FOR THE DOWNLOAD LINK. LITERALLY NOTHING ELSE.
Now you wonder why you have a fuckton of users that signed up, but ABSOLUTELY NO ONE USING THE SITE. ZERO. NADA.
If you really wanted to help your visitors out, then ACTUALLY ALLOW THEM TO SEE THE DOWNLOAD LINK. Isn't that what a VIDYA SUPPORT FORUM'S for?!?!

>Edit: Nevermind I fixed it.

>I have a question about *game
>There's already a thread about this. deleted
>Old thread is 10 years old and only has 2 posts

>sent PM :)
>user has been offline for 3 years

Being a mini man must be true suffering

mini man, huge Temper

>those love taps at the end
Sauce?

"Koskal Baba" on youtube.

>game launches with a black screen, only have audio
>update your drivers, try reinstalling the game, is your card overheating? etc.
Fucking normies and their bullshit generic solutions.

>"Hey how do I fix this"
>"There's alredy a thread for this. Use search funktion"
>Find 5 years Old thread. No answers
>"Did anyone find a solution"
>"No necroing!"

>Find a thread with no solution
>Happen to actually know the solution
>Post it
>"Why are you replying to 5 months Old thread, seriously"
Well why do you think, shitface

why do you need to fix an error on a game?
oh
pc gamer

Forums are the worst.

They always devolve into little kingdoms with Admins and kings and Moderators as Knights. The power goes to their heads and instead of just simply running and moderating, rule enforcement becomes almost like a drug for them. The first thing at the top of every forum is always "FORUM RULES READ BEFORE POSTING" and instead of something along the lines of "Stay on topic and don't be a dick" there's a huge list of incredibly specific rules and restrictions that the power hungry admins and mods will enforce with lightning speed.

You know, that's why despite the anime, porn, gore, and shitposting I still like Sup Forums.

Honestly, half of every specialised forum I see feels like a creepy gated community, it seems like no one can run one without obsessing and going completely bug nutty over it.

>console games never have errors

kek gtfo

>LOL CONSOLE GAMERS DON'T HAVE THIS!!! BTFO
Bullshit. Yes you do. Stop lying.

Forum karma, avatars, animated signatures, stupid quotes...
I don't miss it.

Don't forget to start a thread on the INTRODUCTIONS board and tell us all about yourself before you start or reply to any other threads.

Make sure you post at least once per month and don't use a default avatar or else we'll delete you account for inactivity. Oh! And don't forget to donate to our paypal!

Then we'll tell you how to fix that error you're having.

>There's already a thread about this topic.
>Thread locked

But now I use mpgh because of that exact shit

>click it
>register
"YOU MUST MAKE 10 FORUM POSTS AND BE ACTIVE TO DOWNLOAD"
>do that
>go to download the original thing i wanted to download
>"YOU MUST REACH A HIGHER FORUM RANK TO DOWNLOAD FILES OVER 100MB"

fug I hated this process

"Hi im username, can I download shit now?"

like who goes to random forums to talk? you go to your home forum where things are chill. (which died in 2003 in my case. RIP random game dev forum.)

>The fix is actually [ Insane series of steps that don't sound like they'll work at all beyond irreparably breaking your game ]
>Desperate enough to try
>Actually works

I really hope this little faggot gets his shit pushed in and dies, and it's being filmed.

Alternatively, the "hidden until you register and stuck enough cock" link is to Megaupload

I'm pretty sure he has died of natural causes linked to his miniatureness.

No bullying little man, he is famous and loved

>it's password protected
>you have to watch 5 adds and enter your cellphone for a code

On the other track having specific rules means that as a mod you can always act exactly in accordance with the rules and it's always clear why threads get deleted.

Otherwise, a "be civil" ruling means everything is ruled according to any given mods discretion, and of course, not all the mods will agree on any one thing.

Then users will fight you on every single decision you make, arguing with post after post after post looking for the most nitpicky, bullshit loophole as to why you shouldn't have removed their clearly against the rules shitpost.

That said, there's no excuse for "already a thread on this, locked" or other bullshit. Just saying that having a mod team act like robots, working entirely by the rules, with zero discretion, is way more pleasant for all involved.
