I imagine they'd have to rework all the animations to work with a female skeleton, elsewise you'd get glaring issues since their body type is so different to William and the other male characters. You'd also have an issue with floating weapons since they're so thin and small compared to the men, and their hitboxes would probably need reworking so as to not grant advantages in the PVP mode.

Yeah, the Tachibanas have a really tragic story in Nioh. They've got all the love in the world for each other, but Goddamn there's been some hurdles along the way.
