What are your honest expectations for Zelda Breath of the Wild? Do you think it will be good? Bad?
What are your honest expectations for Zelda Breath of the Wild? Do you think it will be good? Bad?
It could either be the best 3D Zelda game or the worst.
Average. The open world will be boring and empty just like everyone thought.
That's where I'm at.
I have such huge expectations for BOTW. I want to believe that the guys at Nintendo are being ambitious with it and not catering it to the lowest common denominator. They want it to be a hardcore game that you truly have to master to complete, much like Zelda 1 and 2 on the NES.
But... more than likely, it'll be mild and unsatisfying, geared toward Skyrim fans and be ass.
It's literally just going to be Zelda in open world with some new gameplay mechanics
That's literally all i want.
It will be disappointing, but Nintendo fags will act like it's the greatest. Later they'll all agree it wasn't that good though.
The open world might be the best part, but I can't be enthused with how obsessed Aonuma is about hyping up the PUZZLES PUZZLE PUZZLES I mean shrines that nobody seems to care about.
It will be above mediocre. Most Zelda are just mediocre, so this will be nice. No OoT or LttP, but still.
It's confirmed 480p shit. Fuck nintendo.
it's 240, get your fucking facts right faggot
Hopefully better than the last 3 big Zeldas. Can't enjoy those for the life of me.
240p when docked, it's 120 handheld
I can't believe they're releasing a 64p game in 2017
I don't understand why people hate puzzles in Zelda.
It's 32p without the day one patch
This. I absolutely have no faith in the open world. Whoa kill this camp and solve this minor puzzle to get 5 ice arrows and 5 fire arrows. Amazing.
With how supplies are limited, why wouldn't I just hoard shit thus having little fun in experimenting? I get crazy good arrows early on, well there is no point in wasting them. Basically this game will give you Elixirs and you hoard stuff for that special moment that never comes.
I don't think he is hyping up puzzles as much as a story that doesn't tug you along, which leads to missing things because you weren't at the right place at the right time after X event. Then there is a super secret story thing he has been thinking of for 20 years.
Not having to follow a guideline is cool, till it leads you to missing things. Its going to be hit or miss. I hated how Witcher 3 has really annoying leveled areas, where the game gives you the illusion of choice of doing Velen, Novigrad or Skellige in whatever order you want. Except Skellige and Novigrad will be vastly overleveled for you and everyone is a damage sponge.
So the idea that in this, I could do shit in any order IF you have the equipment seems good. I would like more open world games to encourage this shit. There is a good bow above the Temple of Time, and maybe people will find good shit hidden around giving second/third playthroughs more ways in how you go through the game as you could get well equipped early on.
It'll be the apex Zelda and pre-eminent open world game, but people like will insist it's shit because it was made by Nintendo.
it'll be decent enough on the first playthrough but it'll be Last Remnant-tier in terms of missables
I'm a complete fanboy for Zelda and will buy the game when it releases and also the expansion pass
And to think it'll be 16p on the Wii U
How can they get away with it
Ironic since Nintendo makes some of the highest quality games.
