Is anyone else fucking fiending for a good SSX game? I loved SSX 2012, been playing it all day with a friend
I'd play it more (and the other titles) if the PS4 was backwards compatible, why is it so hard to just make these backwards compatible?
Kevin Baker
you can emulate the good ones
Robert Hughes
Weird question but which SSX is the most racing oriented game? Are there any that don't have score based events?
Hudson Mitchell
I feel the same way.
Brody Gomez
the first.. probably
tricks give you boost, but you have to balance between that and just getting to the bottom
the first is superior in most regards one of my favorite games of all time
Jaxon Bell
nah man the 2012 release killed the franchise
in fact there's a new snowboarding game and it aint ssx
too bad that game is pretty shit
Adrian Gray
>nah man the 2012 release killed the franchise how? I thought it was a great game
did it not sell well?
Luis Myers
that new game looks like shit, reminds me of SNOW on steam, another shitty hyper realistic snow game where you control a shit ragdoll in a non descript boring ass snow desert
Brayden Torres
>tfw no 3 + Tricky HD remake with online
Carson Butler
One of the only games I %100. I still have fun with it, although tricky and 3 were the best IMO.
John Torres
It really was great. I remember when it came out, I didn't pre-order it and I went down to my local, they only had one copy left
my goty
Bentley Roberts
ssx 3 is one of my all time favorite games
shit like snow and steep need to take a lesson on how to make an interesting mountain
Ryan Brooks
Last SSX game I played was on 360 and I remember vaguely it being shit that EA was forcing always online with and had no real story campaign to speak of.
Last good SSX I played was tricky on original xbox/gamecube
Matthew Cox
Why do the best franchises never fucking work out?
It's tragic
Gabriel Howard
>implying SSX3 was not good
Adam Perry
Non of them totally lack score based events. The first is likely the most racing focused, but SSX Tricky also has race events that work exactly the same as they did in SSX. The only difference is ubertricks, which are totally optional if you're just trying to finish the race. It's very easy to do a few tricks when hitting big ramps to fill your boost. You're very likely to have all the boost you need to keep your speed up just by doing the normal jumps and rails needed to hit shortcuts.
I'd recommend Tricky over normal SSX just because there's so much more content. Tricky isn't really any more focused on tricks than vanilla SSX, the capability is just expanded.
Gavin Baker
>someone tries to make a snowboard game >instead of making it fun with outrageous tricks its another "realism" simulator
god i miss the sixth gen
Camden Scott
SSX had a ton of games. Just because they didn't drive it into the ground by making a new one every year doesn't mean it didn't work out.
That'd be like saying Cowboy Bebop "didn't work out" because they didn't make more after the series and movie.
Blake Baker
>tfw no elise gf
Owen Jackson
iktf
Andrew Stewart
tricky is the only good one
David Reyes
>collectathon bullshit hub world
>shitty framed events in tiny halfpipes that last 30 seconds
>boss of area sends you a threatening email on your PDA/cellphone/flip-phone
it was really fucking stupid.
Tricky is infinitely better.
i also blew enough time to max out everyone and gett everyone's uberboard/ complete everyone's trickbook in tricky, and didnt for ssx 3, just like 1 or 2 characters.
