An 81 is the score they give mediocre games with a huge ad campaign on gaming sites. While not awful, the game is nothing to write home about and will have a very small impact on the industry.

The game is utter shit from a design standpoint. It only seems fun to those who are too bad at it to utilize the mechanics to their full potential.

level 3 bots still employ the exact same attacks a world class player can. they don't get any faster than what the bot can throw out.

if you do not attack and you just keep blocking, you literally cannot lose against most heroes. the chip damage isn't enough to kill you. you can force a time-out against ANYONE if you're competent at blocking.

I couldnt buy the game at release but from the few days of closed and open beta I played the game wasn't ever very challenging. I really like the combat mechanics but its pretty easy except for the few times you run into someone with some kind of skill and have a challenging battle. I think people are just bad at video games now days.
