One day, I felt like playing The Sims 3. I was a little sad that I had skipped so many expansions due to EA and Valve fighting over money. I loaded up Steam and they had a massive deal on the game and individual expansions.

They're still releasing new expansions so there won't be a bundled version out for a while I imagine.

Nope. Wait for them to actually finish putting out expansions and DLCs before you expect them to put out a Complete Edition. Until then, there's always Sims 3 (or Sims 2, if you have it; it's not like you'll be able to get it on Origin now).

No, not really. It's a massive downgrade from Sims 2 AND 3 in everything except grafics and performance.

Just pirate 3 and all the DLC, then install some mods. Sims 4 won't be complete till 2025.

installing mods on pirated versions feels like a pain, I tried that with sims 2 complete collection and most of the time it didn't work. maybe i'm doing something wrong

If you can get past the long ass loading screens, it's objectively the best one.

Sims 4 actually got really good now, and the whole "LE TOOK ALL THE FEATURES OUT" meme is pretty much over now. They've dialed it back and started to put things in slowly, but the difference is they work a lot better. If you play sims 3, especially with the fucking potato like sims, you're a fucking dunce. At least play 2, 3 is genuinely the worst.

Also, the "YOU CAN'T VISIT ANYWHERE, ITS NOT OPEN WORLD" is a fucking stupid meme too. Unless you're bothered by 10/20 second loading times when you want to leave your lot, which is usually never.

The big feature they pushed was moods, so previous actions have an affect on the sim's following behaviors.

No, EA likes to sell you games for no less than 50% and DLC for full price for-fucking-ever.

Actually playable performance, sims being able to do multiple things at the same time, moodlets which give the game bigger depth and actually make sense, building being vastly improved and CAS being significantly better than previously has been.
