About to replay Harvest Moon: AWL.
Which girl I go for? Should I just stick with the vanilla girl?

just talk to them and choose the one you like the most
There aren't any after marriage quirks? If anything, I think the red haired girl goes away if you don't marry her.
Redhead seems pretty sad and wistful if you marry her. I never tried any of the others.
Be careful you don't trigger the glitch that makes your kid perma-unhappy.
Tell me more before the thread dies.
bump
Can you marry the piano girl in the original version?
Celia is god tier, Nami is okay tier, Muffy is "you don't really give a shit about the marriage aspect" tier.
No, but in the PS2 re-release and the DS version you can.
Okay. Thanks.
She just sighs a lot and looks off in the distance. Not sure if more was added in the SE.
I can't find anything on google about it, so that bug must have just been the GC version.
There's a DS version of AWL?
Damn, I hope I don't run into that unhappy kid glitch.
What the fuck was his problem?
Muffy is best girl 100%
Nami
Still waiting for the ps4 version that the esrb rated. Can't come fast enough. Going for that plat day one
Coinflip between Lumina and Celia.
No matter the game, always pick the tomgirl.
Sort of. Harvest Moon DS has all the Wonderful Life characters and is basically AWL+ as far as comparisons to the original go, but it also standardized the setting for the rest of the series a bit by reworking the farming mechanic and adding more "exotic" bachelorettes (including a mermaid, a witch, and the Harvest Goddess).
It's only JUST different enough to avoid being called a re-release.
What kind of kid do you want?
I personally married Nami.
Celia /thread
Would you consider it an improvement over AWL?
I have the Gamecube version, but a DS version would be more convenient to play.
Go for Muffy.
I don't remember very well but doesn't ds lack the overarching plot of awl?
If I just chose to sleep every day in until the end of the game, would that be ok?
DS version is basically HM FoMT graphics, with a AWL skin featuring the town and characters. It does not have AWL story, or time progression. HM DS is crazy buggy, so much that I actually would not recommend it unless you've exhausted all the other good entries. If you want one on DS get Rune Factory, or Sunshine Islands.
Also OP marry who you want. Who you marry can change the default personality of your kid, but also who you make friends with can also affect this. Not much difference otherwise, it's not a big deal if Nami moves out. Do avoid the PS2 version if possible. It takes a already slow paced game, and adds in technical problems of the weaker ps2 so the game is constantly laggy and at a lower framerate. It's playable, but the GC version even with having one less girl to marry is drastically better. Or you can wait and see if the ps2 version gets the rumored ps4 port, which would hopefully fix the lag.
Was this guy immortal?
