Terraria vs Starbound

Should I get Terraria or Starbound?

Starraria

Terraria has way more content than starbound and is actually fun

Terraria

Terraria.

People that buy terraria get pussy

Neitharria

Terraria is objectively better, especially when playing with others
but I also played Starbound and it's nowhere near as bad as people here claim it to be

Terraria

Don't listen to the samefagging. Modded Starbound is way better than Terraria could ever hope to be and it looks a lot better.

Terraria
This guy is a waifu fag don't listen to him.

>samefagging
>over ten posters

pick one

also, Terraria

Terraria

Where do you download mods from? The only mod I've ever downloaded was the 3rd reich mod.

i 100% agree, im willing to bet all the samefags haven't even played it

>14 posters
>all the samefags

you are cancer

I've started starbound after trying terraria a while ago. I like starbound better.

Terraria is better, unfortunately. Starbounds is just a bare-bones clone.

This post is false.

But on the flip side, people who get Starbound become furfaggotry erpers that don't actually play the game.

If you are going that route, modded Terraria is better than modded Starbound.

Terraria obviously

>a clone
>of a clone
>of a clone
>of a clone
How much deeper can we go?

>Modded Starbound is way better than Terraria could ever hope to be and it looks a lot better.

Front page of starbound nexus.

You're only proving him right.

People from here told me that Terraria is better if you like Strategy but Starbound is better if you like creating shit or more of an RPG experience.

I agree.

Terraria.
Starbound seems fun at first, but after a couple of hours you realize the first space station dungeon thing is where they blew their load. Also the developers are cancer.

>Terraria is better if you like Strategy
What does that mean?

Terraria for sure, it has a fuckton of content and the combat is a lot more fluid and fun

I'd only really get Starbound if you're burned out on Terraria, it's not a bad game by any means, it can be quite fun a lot of times, but it's just vastly inferior to Terraria, and the combat really is kind of shit

...

>terraria has better combat
Funny, I feel the opposite. Then again I just played terraria for half a day. What makes it better because I've been playing starbound and enjoying it more than I did terraria.

Terraria
and when thoses anons say starbound players are furfag, they're right. Unless you're a furfag who have no taste you should go on terraria

You can aproach battles in a lot of ways and the game itself is longer. You should prepare and make resourses to survive and tackle fights as well as random events.

As a creativefag one of my biggest complaints in Terraria is that I was trying to build some cool houses and structures but there's a fucking red moon or pirates or matians, let alone the crimson or corruption. I even modded the game to play without enemies but then the game feels to barren. Starbound does freedom better.

Terraria is worth the full $10 at normal prices. Terraria is worth more than $10 imo by a pretty big margin. Starbound? Get it on sale if you like Terraria.

That said, it's improved. When I got it in 2015 for free using bing rewards amazon giftcards it was worth $3, now I'd say it's worth $8 or so.

What's the point of building a stronghold if no one ever attacks you?

>What's the point of building a stronghold if no one ever attacks you?

there are multiple events where enemies attack you

Feeling comfy

I don't know user, I just like building things.

Blood moons, goblin armies and more famiglia.

Well here's the thing for me, you grab a sword in Terraria and start swinging it that's it, there's a single swinging animation and you can keep doing it and aim wherever you like, it makes it very fluid

In Starbound however you take the same sword for instance and you're locked into this weird 3 hit combo that you can't really aim properly, like over your head and stuff

Also Terraria has a way bigger variety of weapons that work differently with one another, and another big thing is that in Terraria a lot of ranged weapons have ammo and there are ways around the usual Mana limitations too, while energy is almost like a hard cap in Starbound and there's not really a good way around that

Terraria lets you use yoyos to fight C'thulu. Dontcha wanna fight C'thulu with a yoyo, kid?

here's a mega link for up to date gog version. You can find some servers to play on in the terraria general in /vg/ for some fun times.

I admit I haven't played Starbound even a fraction of the time I've played Terraria but from what I can remember apart from the random bird now and then there weren't any assaults on your base in Starbound.

It's literally like 2 dollars or some shit when it's on sale, are you really that fucking cheap?

Yeah terraria has a slow start, its better with friends who know the game

yeah, I haven't bought a vidya game in 8 years. I save the money to spend on other things.

Never played Starbound, but I really enjoyed Terraria. It's a very comfy game.

Starbound is a time waster that you might have fun with if you're really into the genre.

Terraria is the master of the genre even if you hate minecraft-esque games, and is objectively better, more stable in terms of code and performance, has more content, has better mods, and even has better online play. Terraria just can't be beat.

I say this as someone with about 1000 hours in one, and barely 80 hours in the other.

I don't have a problem with the sword combo, in fact I like it. It's less boring to me. And it's not impossible to aim your attack either, you just have to think about where the attack is coming from, like an overhead attack will his enemies below you.

>Starbound is a time waster that you might have fun with if you're really into the genre
I'm not into the genre and I like starbound better. I just must not know what I'm missing by not playing terraria.

like what? insulin shots for your dying ass, you overweight diabetic fuck?

...

terraria, no contest
t. retard who fell for the early access starbound meme
the game somehow got worse than it was in early access if that tells you anything

Both, they tickle different pickles.

>It got worse
I fucking hate it. They fucked up spears and I hate them so much for it!

Lads what the f*** did they mean by this?????

>They fucked up spears
How did they fuck up spears?

Starbound had the potential to be better than Terraria, and then decided it didn't want to do anything with that potential

Hmm.

I'm getting Starbound.

>fuck up crafting system making the earliest spear titanium
>also shit weapon skills making the only good weapons hammers with the barriers

>futa mods
Starbound wins.

mainly vacation trips

Oh yeah, I noticed weapon crafting was pretty light so far but I also haven't upgraded any crafting thing beyond base. Still pretty dumb I can't make iron versions of all melee types.

tbf it only took cucklefish 2 years to recover from early giraffe builds

it'll be a legit good game on it's own in a generation or two

Does Starbound even have sex mods? Or is merely cosmetic?

by then Terraria Otherworld will be out and will btfo it again

Still no sex mods

Terraria 2 given the likely timeframe we're talking here.

Assuming civilization doesn't crash between now and then. Cucklefish just can't win, can they?
