There have been 5 Mario Kart games since F-Zero GX.
There have been 5 Mario Kart games since F-Zero GX
And two of them were shit.
they were ALL shit.
only super mario kart was actually good.
regenerating item boxes WERE A MISTAKE
I'd like to see another F-Zero as much as anyone, but I don't trust Nintendo to not make it utter garbage.
SMK is easily my least favorite. It's really boring.
As it should be
The problem is that they set up the highest bar possible when they made GX and now they're not sure they'll ever be able to top it
Hello I am the unofficial spin-off series that follows into F-Zero GX's footsteps.
I play nothing like Mario Kart despite superficial similarities.
I played GX on Dolphin recently and found it really repetitive and boring.
Something about Kart racers like MK or CTR are just so much more fun.
Now a Captain falcon fighting game by Platinum tho...
>gotta have a contrary opinion to not be like those fucking normies REEEEEEEEEE
This is what you sound like right now. Super Mario Kart is the worse game in the series and shouldn't be played today unless you have a severe case of nostalgia.
bullshit. mariokart 8 has retarded anti gravity gimmicks and people have found un finished mario kart tracks from MK DS and they look more like f-zero tracks than MK tracks - nintendo is retarded and is banking on MAAAARRIIIOOOOOOOO
>opinions are wrong because a game is old
shut up faggot, i bet you think doom 3 is better than doom
DEAR NINTENDO
LET'S GO BACK TO THE FUCKING FUTURE
Not surprised kart babbys think like that
Lets make that six.
It was too hard for you. Sorry but you failed the gate.
I /mostly/ agree with you. I think GP Legend was okay, just needs less story and more focus on actual racing. I admittedly haven't tried Climax, but it looks the same as GP Legend to me. Still, both games mentioned don't go anywhere near as fast as GX, and I'd love to experience another game like that again.
I'm just happy that a racing game as awesome as GX exists. Nintendo can fuck themselves, because even if they made another Fzero game, they would somehow fuck it up.
Alright, faggots. Time for a check up. Reply with your ranking.
Keep trying tier
>Story mode on normal
>Unlocked all machine parts
>Unlocked all vehicles
You're okay tier
>Story Mode on hard
>Beaten all GP cups on master
Respectful tier
>Story mode on very hard
>Beaten master GP with every vehicle
Master tier
>Unlocked and beaten all staff ghosts
Platinum Master tier
>All staff ghosts beaten with track specific vehicle
>he obviously didn't play the game
>"le Platinum make an x game" meme
>Still playing Mario Kart when Sonic Racing Transformed exists
It's funny how the in-game stats are completely false. Fat Shark, that's supposed to have E in grip, has arguably the best grip in the game and his B boost is top 3, I think. That includes custom machines.
Well, at least for the short time I was into the game I made it to You're Okay tier. I think there were 3 or 4 missions on Story Mode I couldn't do on Very hard, and personally beating master GP with every vehicle just sounds exhausting.
I'm somewhere in-between Respectful and Master. And I did all that back when I was 13, I never swore as much in my life before or since.
>opinions are wrong because a game is old
It's wrong in this case because SMK is bad in comparison. Like you can go back and Play Donkey Kong Country1-3 even though Tropical Freeze exists because they're both good.
Yeah, it is. Unless you really love the game and realise the wacky shit you can pull with the physics.
Some machines are just downright shit though. My strategy was to kill as many racers as possible so position didn't matter as much. But, it was also risky, since you could die, or let your rival beat you too many times.
this game shits on every mario kart
this game is DIESEL
And none of them as good as GX.
>mfwRespectful
The most assholish thing in that game is that beating the GP cups on master becomes a nightmare when you unlock DonGenie/FatShark, the fucker is the racer with the highest max speed and will completely fuck you over in Championships if your car is lacking in that department, especially if you didn't know about all the physics exploits in that game.
But the worst part was still the hardest version of the chapter 7 of the story mode, absolute fucking bullshit, with enemy AI going almost as fast at regular speed than you when boosting and you had to survive on a very small track filled with bombs and 29 other assholes who wanted your ass.

This. The Black Bull in particular goes sanic fast and the only way to get in first I found after a dozen failed attempts was managing to kill Black Shadow at the starting line, which was harder than usual because he had lots of health.
I'm Master tier. Also I beat the ghosts without snaking if that makes a difference.
It's actually been proven that the AI has beefed-up stats in the Story Mode chapters. For instance, in chapter 7 Black Shadow has something like 180% normal health, which I believe also means he has 180% boost stamina. Blood Falcon was like 150%.
chapter 7 is way easier than chapter 8 and chapter 1 because of the strategically placed bombs on turns for the former and the tight line you have to take to get all the pickups in the later making it so you can't just brute force it. From hardest to easiest imo
>Deathborn
>Falcon's Training
>GP
>Black Shadow's Trap
>Samurai Goroh
>Rescuing Jody
>Casino
>Staff Ghosts
>Bloody Chain Gang
>DonGenie/FatShark
Yes, you're guaranteed to finish second in Cosmo Terminal unless you really know what you're doing.
But he's shit on Phantom Road, so if you can pull off a win or at least a decent finish there then that helps.
When I was doing Story Mode I found Rescue Jody to be the hardest Very Hard mission, because you have like zero room for error.
Fast Racing Neo and Redout didn't go over too well with you folks I take it?
You have to beat story mode on very hard to unlock all vehicles, so this makes no sense.
I still have my copy of Super Mario Kart and I play it every once in a while, but it's garbage compared to every other game tbqh.
They said they wouldn't mind making a new F-Zero.
You know items regenerate in SMK too, right?
Why do those sorts of games always have really slippy controls? F-Zero GX's controls are extremely tight, that's a major part of it's whole appeal even
I completed Chapter 5 on Very Hard going over the time limit. You don't instantly fail if you manage to make the jump from the ramp at the end so the time expired while I was in the air but the Blue Falcon still got through the shutter and it counted despite me being about 0.20 seconds over limit. It was exhilarating.
Also fun fact about the Deathborn mission: Even if you do manage to destroy his machine (~500% health or something like that, good fucking luck) he'll immediately respawn like in practice mode.
>Also I beat the ghosts without snaking if that makes a difference.
Obviously it does. Beating the staff ghosts doesn't unlock anything, so why would you cheap them out? It's all about personal achievement.
I remember when I first started the challenge of beating them all using the same machines and was stuck on the very first track with Death Anchor. That shit is really fucking tight if you play it straight. I'm getting there though.
Yeah, the game doesn't care as long as you make it out of the final doorway. I think in the original Moon version though you lose instantly the moment the timer reaches zero.
>New arcadey F-Zero game by same faggots who brought us OutRun 2006
If there's a god, let this happen.
What about those of us who got a perfect score (500) with no deaths on Diamond Cup Master Difficulty?
I agree it's not an easy course but you can miss one health pickup and still make it and practicing the level grants more predictable results unlike the two courses I rank as directly above it since going faster or taking a different line in those two means you have to deal with the boulders and traffic slightly differently which for me at least was more troublesome than careful inputs in Rescue Jody.
Score isn't a very good representation of skill, but nice still.
Imagine a new Sonic and AllStars Racing with new characters like Team Chaotix, Kazuma, Welkin, Tempo, Moragana and Pewdiepie charity DLC. Imagine that same AllStars Racing but on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and also PC.
Yeah the stats are full of shit.
I can ALMOST excuse the ones from the original 30 cars since their stat rankings were just lifted whole hog from X regardless of any actual changes in how the cars drive. However, that obviously doesn't excuse Fat Shark or the other new cars, not to mention all the custom ones.
Hey i'ts me, Sonic! my game is more of a Diddy Kong Racing Rip-off but my "fans" still think it is a mario kart competitor! FUUUUCK.
Do i like it? yeah! Is it a better MK? No!
Jeez!
