I've been having a weird sense that Nintendo and the Pokemon Company are trying to run the franchise into the ground and cash out as quickly as possible.

Everything they've done in recent years has been a shameless cash grab with no effort or quality.

I thought they were acquired by some other owner in late 2000, which is when they started pushing out some more offlandish LEGO pieces.

While I agree they're making the sets smaller than they should be, the dollar of the 90s was worth between 1.5 - 2 times as much as today's thanks to inflation
