I was under the impression that it was just a regular ranged DPS along the lines of MCH & BRD, now with DRG jumps for sword attacks, since it has the option to fight up close as well.

i actually think it's a cloth texture ontop of the silk robe. it reminds me a lot of the weaving in some of the decorations in my own home growing up

1.0 had a version of attacks "ultimate attacks" where the screen would go black and you'd do a really good attack animation before the enemy took massive damage
this was removed in ARR
but the Samurai video seems to show the mechanic making a comeback at level 70
be prepared for VERY STYLISH attack animations that make you feel like Dante from DMC

Hell no. DRK. It's got a ton of good ogcds to weave and a flexible priority based rotation which I find very to play.
But Yoshi says that nobody moves from DPS to healing and tanking even though his own fucking census shows that people have moved from DPS to healing and tanking with AST and DRK being popular while MCH is shit!

SAM being an ugly robe wearing melee DPS is the most idiotic thing I've seen them do so far. If they do Jump Potions though that'll manage to beat it.
