>sony bans my account for filing a chargeback >root my ps3 and get all my fightans back >only games i bought on ps4 are physical Jesus fuck I don't understand how console players put up with this company. Paid online, silent auto-renewal for free trials, the worst customer service I've ever seen.
Piece of shit kept insisting that I manually purchased the 3 month subscription and refused to show me the server logs that stored that information.
I'm seriously curious how the fuck my PS4 purchased a 3 month subscription to PSN+ because I sure as hell didn't buy that waste of money. Does Sony automatically purchase a subscription if your console is logged in as the service is about to expire?
Elijah Thompson
I actually caved and just let the charge pass because I played alot on my Ps3. but being out 150 bucks pissed me off so much.
Henry Stewart
>Does Sony automatically purchase a subscription if your console is logged in as the service is about to expire? Yes and as far as I'm aware they set it to renew automatically too if you buy a prepaid card and activate that.
Sony has terrible customer service, but that's a point that few look at when heading into a console purchase. The PS4 destroyed the XBone for multiple reasons.
You're at blame too though. Why on earth would you keep your credit card details with Sony for one. And also, I might be mistaken but it's made clear that auto renewal is set on, so you should have taken the steps to turn it off.
Brody Morgan
Proof that even retards who buy consoles can have some semblance of intelligence
Logan Hernandez
filing a chargeback for a psn transaction lol. They always ban people that do that. I think they even send you an email stating the subscription is about to expire. You don't have anyone to blame but yourself 150?
Charles Reed
Daniel: As we shared, this is what the system shows, user. The system detects whether the purchase was made from a console or web store. Me: yes, and I'd like a screenshot of that transaction Me: with the pertinent information that is stored server-side Daniel: The transaction information is what you received via email. Sadly, we are unable to share an screenshot of our system showing such information.
Yeha, that's what I starte dto suspect when they told me that it wasn't the 2 day trial that renewed my PSN+ subscription.
Holy fuck I tried so hard to prod this information out of him. He wouldn't budge even if I told him to crop the irrelevant information out.
You'd think that one would allow the consumer to scrutinize server data regarding the transaction that he allegedly made.
Owen Murphy
They didn't send me an e-mail for the first charge.
I got a 2 day free trial, then 2-3 days later, I got charged $25 for 3 months of PSN+. The only reason why I found out about this was because I got the warning e-mail as my 3 month subscription was about ot expire.
My PS4 was turned off the entire time so I didn't even know I had PSN+, and since I bought a bunch of KOF 14 skins for free, I the e-mail containing the initial charge was lost among that clutter.
Grayson Hill
Only time I contacted PS4 support was when I bought a game for $20 and it got a discount 3 days after I bought it (to $5), they gave me 2 cupons ($10 and $5) for the store.
Henry Baker
That seems unusually generous
Austin Reyes
What pisses me off the most is that if they do refund you, they add it to your PSN balance instead of refunding your CC.
Fucking kikes.
Cooper Flores
It's autorenewal, that's how it works.
I'm surprised you'd actually manage to get a refund, there are quite a few stories of people having a bad time trying to get one
Kevin Reed
While I haven't had any issues with sony customer service myself, I also never tried to refund a PS+ subscription. They could be particularly anal about that.
Christopher Wilson
Giovanni: Let me explain to you how both free PS Plus free trials work in this case, for the 2 days trial a Credit card is not required and you can take it if you wish as long as you haven't been a PS Plus member before.
The 14 days free trial requires a Credit card and that one in specific sets the auto renewal feature.
The CS rep said it wasn't auto renew and I didn't buy PSN plus because my PS4 is basically a bloodborne + kof 14 (locals only) machine.
James Powell
I love PlayStation but their customer service is worse than fucking dogshit. They really need to do better there. I think they outsource it to some piece of shit company because the time I had to call they didn't know fuck all about anything.
Robert Myers
>The CS rep said it wasn't auto renew and I didn't buy PSN plus What. I thought your issue was that you were charged for PS+ due to auto renewal being triggered
Bentley Scott
That was my assertion. The rep said that wasn't the case. I don't know how I was charged since no one has access to my account/cc
Justin Sanchez
>since no one has access to my account/cc Surely Sony do since they literally charged you on it. You must have entered it at some point.
Julian Ward
i really didnt, which is why all of this is so vexing.
Owen Hill
I mean they had my CCN but I didnt make the purchase.
Nolan Phillips
You didn't manually make it, sure, but it was automatically set, so in a sense, you did make it by agreeing to their terms.
It sucks, it's anti-consumer and designed to literally scam you out of your money, but it is avoidable, both by taking your CC information off there or turning off auto renewal
Lincoln Edwards
They said it WASNT auto renewal. That is what is most confusing.
Angel Hughes
Yeah but that's just their customer service who don't have much of a clue what's going on.
Chances are if you look at the date of purchase, it'll line up with the time your free trial ran out. On top of that, 3 months is exactly what the auto renewal subscription is set to.
Short of you doing it when you were out of your mind, what else could it realistically be. No one's gonna hack into your account to buy 3 months of PS+ for you to use.
Hudson Sullivan
God thats just awful to think about. I went through their cs dept until I couldn't get any higher. It's so jarring comparing Sony CS to Blizzard, Amazon, or Valve.
Hudson Morales
Amazon customer service is second worst only to HP in personal experience. Nobody knows anything and they flat out ignore your questions.
Carson Rodriguez
>Friend of mine got charged two times for buying a single game on the PS store >He contacts PS support, was told there was "Nothing they can do about it". >He files a chargeback by calling his credit card company, gets refunded >Sony bans his account because "That wasn't the proper way of getting a chargeback".
Jesus christ Sony are fucking thieves.
Hudson Butler
You have autism. Seek help.
David Ortiz
Gotta disagree, they have been great in customer service when I've had to talk to them (Amazon)
They reached out to my bank to reverse any overdraft fees they have caused, and I didn't even request that much. Literally no other company has gone that far, even when it's clearly their fault.
Chase Evans
>File a charge back >Get consequences >WOOOOW HOW DO PEOPLE TAKE THIS
Nice fucking shitpost thread
Lincoln Parker
Maybe I've been unlucky six times in a row or so. Had nothing but bad experiences with them so far.
Zachary Wilson
My experience with them was great, solely because it actually felt like I was talking to a human being instead of someone who copy/pastes template sentences.
Their refund policy is also really good, which means I don't have to deal with their CS department.
The only bad thing about Amazon is their questionable 3rd party selling system, because they don't seem to try to root out counterfeit products.
Hunter Price
>sony bans my account for filing a chargeback What kind of chargeback did you do
Ayden Ward
Why the fuck would you have your credit card linked to your PSN account
You are a literal subhuman retard and I'm glad you got your account banned for being a faggot.
Easton Evans
Yeah, I blame myself for that, but you can't just nitpick these things and place undue burden onto the consumer. In the end, the company was the one in the wrong. By blaming the consumer, you allow corporations to normalize this type of behavior.
Christopher Smith
I read the rest of the thread, you are absolutely a subhuman mouth breather. You signed up for an automatically-renewing service, linked your credit card to your account, didn't read the fine print, then whined when you got your account banned for charging back something you had to click "I accept" on. Corporations will always be looking just to squeeze more money out of you, what exactly does me calling you out on being a dipshit "normalize this type of behavior"? You are an autimso.
Brandon Carter
Maybe your poorfag friend should have waited more than 5 minutes before filing a chargeback, lol.
