>"IT'S YO BOY-"

Why are you looking up gameplay? Are you such a fucking poor loser you cant even play a stupid baby shit game? You autistic chimp fuck chowder brain piece of shit. Who even fucking goes on that kikelord, meat showzen site for 10 year old autistic cucks. You fucking sicken me you god damn fucking fucker

>HEY GUYS, HOWS IT GOING-
>over the top animated intro that the guy paid to get made that lasts 30 - 60 seconds long
>1 minute long after video advertising other videos and asking you to subscribe

>spends next 5 minutes talking about previous videos and what they have coming up

>Big sob story at the start of the video apologizing for not uploading in a while
>he has less than 500 subs

anyone got that video of that how to guide with the constant zooming in and out

>intro
>retarded intro monologue
>city scapes
>some gay ass skit with his friend
>[channel name]
>two minutes have elapsed for a 20 minute video where he rambles without cohesive thoughts

This needs to stop

>constant reminders to like and subscribe
>"SMASH THAT LIKE BUTTON"
>"Can we get over x amount of likes?"

would like to see

>gameplay video
>20 minutes, aw yeah!
>click the video
>5 minute channel intro
>5 minute introduction
>9 minutes of game intro cutscenes
>1 minute of tutorial gameplay
>slowly walks around talking to npc's

>starts video
>game at title/idle
>"hellooooooooo, welcome back to another episode of X" every episode
>5 minutes explaination no one cares about because its a series and they know what happened
>random event occurs and blows away the plan anyway
>"don't forget to subscribe!"
youtube was a mistake.

>What is up YouTube, Rejin197 here and today we're going on part 63 of our Rune Factory playthrough
>103 views
>627 subscribers

Why do they do it

Have a friend who does this, uploads a new half hour lets play part everyday and gets like 3/4 views per video

whats the fucking point

>lets play
Jesus. If you're going to waste your time uploading videos on Jewtube, they shouldn't be super generic shit like that.

youtube.com/watch?v=wwG_Wadavx0&t=309s

>Thumbnail has a big red circle and arrow
Eat shit

>Not typing "no commentary" at the end of your search
Don't put yourself in a position to be tortured if there is no legitimate need to.

Why do uploaders never say what liking and subscribing does for the channel?

>Hey guys, leave a like and don't forget to subscribe, it really helps me out

What do channels actually get out of this?
Do YouTube algorithms place high liked videos higher on reccomendations?

yes

>tfw review channel couldn't even get 50 subscribers after a year so I dropped it
Not for me i guess :(

>spends the next 5 minutes talking about technical issues about making the video we're watching

>asks you to like the video before the video starts
>click away

>2007: gameplay videos have no commentary
>2017: gameplay videos are nothing but commentary
what happened?

>lets player talks over cutscene

>Do YouTube algorithms place high liked videos higher on reccomendations?
That's pretty much it. They count liking, commenting, subscribing, sharing as "viewer engagement" and the higher that is the more likely you are to be recommended to others.

something awful happened

>1 second intro plays
>close browser
>shut down PC
>go outside

W-why are popular let's players always such unlikeable, punchable assholes?
>dat awful personality
>dat immaturity
>dat bad acting
>dat ear-piercing screeching and screaming
>dat forced laughter
>dem dumb faces they make while playing
>dem unfunny jokes
>dem stupid normie comments
>yet millions of clicks and subscribers
Is this truly what people enjoy to see?

I know that feel

Money, user. It does things to people.

Youtube is pretty much and hate to use the word brainwashing media

Social media has replaced actually being social for quite alot of people, letsplayers are baby sitters.

>gameplay has commentary
>it's just some teenage bros having a good time whilst keeping their aspergers in check

That's fine. The thing is I've never heard even one Youtuuuber say this.

so what are the good youtubers?

Youtube is Shill central. Everyone shilling, everyones a brand, shilling everywhere its worse than normal tv.

>hey youtube don't forget to like, rate, comment, subscribe, follow me on facebook, twitter, and instagram for more content
>and let me give a shoutout to xxSephirothxx for this footage I'm about to show, click on this annotation to go to his channel
>proceeds to just talk about something he didn't even make
god dammit

>"HEY GUYS-"
>I'm playing a game 12 year olds play

That doesn't exist. Nobody except teenagers can see teenagers as anything but obnoxious tryhards who think they're funny.
The might be having a good time, but that's just them. think Smosh

People needed friend simulators

Pic not related?

the last time i watched a gameplay video was before i bought battleborn
and i watched them without commentary, because i'm not a fucking cuck

>make videos where I don't do this
>nobody watches

It's just what works on YouTube and what the normies want

mate my friend has something like 200 videos on his channel of tons of gameplay and adventures in Japan

only a handful have views in the double digits

People need to learn how to enjoy alone time, instead of desperately trying to turn alone time into some perverted, pathetic form of surrogate friendship time.

>dont forget to like lol
>mid of video
>please like if you like
>at the end of the video
>and dont forget to like to support this channel hehe :^)

That, and faggots who tell people to comment under the video to increase their SEO (and revenue). It wouldn't trigger me if it was for kindness or slight ego boost, but it's straight up sociopathic manipulation of your viewerbase to gain increased revenue (higher like to dislike ratio increases ad revenue, that's why they constantly remind you to like their shit if you've ever wondered).

I wish we had a commonly-agreed meme between us to dislike every video where the guy begs for likes so the cancer is chemoed

binyot why you no play more enter the schut dungeon?

>WOW BRUHS, WE GOT OVER A HUNDRED THOUSAND VIEWS, YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME

I never fucking got why people do this. How the fuck does watching a fucking video even make someone awesome? Is this just a surrogate way for the uploader to say "I'M AWESOME" without feeling arrogant?

AYEVERYBODY

Yes.

>lets player says something not even remotely funny
>they laugh at it anyway

>trying to find a guide/wiki that isn't just facetube spam nowadays

>lets player is cool
>he reads all in game texts and dialogs

>gives everyone a special voice, most dont match the character

I'm gonna shill for Razzalyn here only because she's got a no-commentary, straight-forward, no dialogue/cutscenes skipping playthrough of FF9 and it's one of the few LPs I've watched from start to finish.

MKIceandFire are alright too I've found.

Sometimes Let's Plays succeed though.

>wassup youtube coming at you again with another video this is LOW...TIER......GAHD

>Want to watch a walkthrough of a game because I'm too cheap to buy the game myself
>The guy playing skips out on optional content, sidequests and misses a fuckton of items on the ground, in rooms etc.

I wanted to watch someone play Deus Ex: Mankind Divided but holy shit I couldn't do it. Everyone kept missing items and dialogue.

>face cam
>sub notification
>text to speech donation notification
>getting upset at internet trolls

>Do YouTube algorithms place high liked videos higher on reccomendations?
Videos watched all the way to the end cause the videos to appear at the top of the list (Or close to it) when searching for what the video is related to.
Higher liked videos do the same thing, same deal with either subscriber count or subscribers gained within a certain period. One of the channels I'm subscribed to that does bee stuff went from like ten subscribers to 6000 in under three months or so just due to people watching all his stuff, people liked the videos enough, and he was one of the few people to buy into the Flow Hive stuff so that helped rope people in (Which is how he got me). Even when I'm not signed in a bunch of his videos pop up when simply searching for bee things.

If you're wondering why anything is autistic on YouTube the answer is always kids

Pay attention to the kids they come back

Laugh on cue and they laugh

Tell them to sub and they sub

They're impressionable and very easy to "entertain"

>on youtube
You were asking for it.

>not adding longplay/silent/no talking at the end of your search
>complaining about retarded youtubers you've found
Sounds like you were MEANT to find them because you clearly meet the criteria of their viewerbase (ie you're retarded)

So answer me this.
Why would you think there are youtubers who are known for making videos on gameplay, would then put out a homoerotic music video?

>people complain in the comments that the player is not commentating over the game for the video

>"hey user, check out this hi-la-rious let's play channel!"
>it's the same shit as every other let's play channel

>try watching one of those "funny moments" videos
>its just people doing stupid shit in a game
>there are people who watch other people have fun
Why is this garbage allowed?

...

did you just discover memes and insults?

I like HarshlyCritical for Let's Plays. He shuts up during cut scenes, even removes the cam sometimes, reads every file the game has, and his comments are about the game instead of his personal life. His humor is pretty subdued, and doesn't overreact to anything. I also like his selection of games.

how about you mute that shit?

Crowbcat

youtu.be/kf2vtmxuGq4

This is ironic I swear

>Why are things I don't like allowed REEEEEE!

>don't call me bubblegum boy, are you lookin to get banned

>TOPOFTHEMORNINTOYALADDIES

Name a worse YouTube personality

>AYEVERYBODY

Are you talking about Dunkey?

youtube.com/watch?v=FBtgI8lJ9r4

Do you have autism? It's a "cool" way to say thank you to the people that watched it. I agree it's stupid as well but to not understand that much. Holy shit, feel better man.

The ultimate joke here is that they're both hacks who shilled their channel here.

Spotted the underage.

>watching "let's plays"
most people have pirated all their software they use to make these videos and don't forget about the games which are copyright protected and the owner of this channel has probably no right to use the copyright of the game in his video

btw watching games on youtube is worse than pirating games
If you pirate games you have the risk of getting ass raped by the fbi or viruses, but if you watch the game on youtube, you get the content for free and you don't have to fear any viruses or the fbi.

"lets plays" are literally the death of the gaming industry and people who do this should get sued by the copyright holder

good, the gaming industry in its current state should be euthanised anyway

who's that? also
>img0.etsystatic.com/112/0/11690751/il_570xN.1010268262_6299.jpg

Far as I know World of Longplays is always commentary-free.

>LEEEEETS GET ROOOIIIITE INTO THE NEEWWS

...

>LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK IN THE COMMENTS DOWN BELOW
Is probably the biggest sentence someone can say to put minimal effort in to trying to get people to leave comments on their video.

>lookup gameplay videos on youtube
>"LETS PLAY [GAME]"
>"[YOUTUBER] PLAYS [GAME]"
>"[some random bullshit] - [GAME] Gameplay"
Don't even get me started on their video thumbnail. It baffles me on why they see the need to include their fucking faces on the fucking thumbnail.

because it's not about the game but about the personality and the cult built around it

>click video
>shitty channel intro starts
>WUB WUB WU-
>click away

>Looks at whatever game Sup Forums is shitting on this time
>Takes the same shit we see in webm threads but now in a youtube video
>Gets over 100K views all the time for it

I'd rather just browse webm threads instead.

>look up gameplay on youtube
>type "[gamename] long play"
>find it with no comments over it

>watch streamer
>kinda funny
>doesn't talk over cutscenes
>all is well
>talks to NPC who has no voiceover
>does his voice
>start doing this for every single NPC, making up different voices

Why do you do this
I love your streams but every time you shriek making voices makes me want to kill myself

He can only make fun of other peoples work. Thats all he does, re edits other peoples work. Im sorry but that is zero talent. He just copys whatever hot new meme is trending, again using other peoples ideas. Hes a leech. Mans1ayer was way better than this faggot.

>not restricting your vidya youtube viewings to reviewers and essayists

This doesn't exist.

This, it's the best option if you just need to show someone some part of a game, can just copy it at the specific time.

I've ran into longplays with commentary though, then I have to resort to putting "no commentary" in the search, usually there's at least one person that specifically made theirs for that reason.

Best LPer
>no retarded intros or animations
>straight to the point
>has fun with the game and takes his time
>genuinely entertaining and interesting person
>creates his own humour instead of forcing it through gameplay
>no 'like and subscribe' bullshit
>generally chill guy who isn't obsessive or autistic

I would say he's too forgiving when it comes to games, but I guess he's just a generally positive person
