Psssh, nothing personnel kid.
Subnautica
is it still in early access?
These have made the game so much fucking scarier for me, I almost screamed when I got launched out my seamoth in the blood kelp zone. The disease cure can't come soon enough.
Yes, they are hoping to launch 1.0 in May. Game feels pretty complete as it is but if you wait the story will be more finalized.
>spend hours and hours and hours building cool base in safe shallows
>build cool base on precursor gun island
>find teleporter, use, teleport to floating island
>build cool base on floating island
>explore around
>finally get everything to build all vehicles
>explore abyss
>find passage down to active lava field
>get annoyed by obnoxious sea dragon
>find even deeper area with another sea dragon
>find an even deeper area with ion crystals, mine the shit out of them
>find lava castle, get ion battery blueprints
>pretty much nothing left to do
>uninstall.exe
They need to nerf the day/night cycles, it's like 4 minutes each. They also need to nerf the hunger/thirst meter where I need 4 watermelons every other minute like a black person. The cyclops needs sonar and an electric shock countermeasure to get those annoying leaches off. Also, making a bottle of water nearly drains an entire nuclear reactor rod worth of power...wtf.
>using nuclear power
There's your problem.
So I should set up a bunch of solar panels or geothermal generators and listen to
>base has powered down
>base has powered up
>base has powered down
>base has powered up
>base has powered down
>base has powered up
every other second? That's brilliant, I should have stuck with that idea when I tried it and it failed!
Get good
geothermal is reliable as fuck - what went wrong?
>silver for computer chips
>not gold
Fucking dropped and refunded.
The Bioreactor is the best one if you've got the proper plants for it. I almost never have to refill it and the lamp fruit thing right next to it grows more fruit than i'll ever need.
Maybe, but, its max output isn't very high.
The more calories a food has, the more power it provides in the bioreactor. The fish give you way more power before having to replenish fuel compared to lamp fruit.
On another note, I feel like disposing spent fuel rods from the nuclear reactor is a waste of good depleted uranium that could otherwise be used for armor or torpedo warheads.
So far i haven't needed more output than it gives me, except when i'm charging batteries, charging the PRAWN suit and the Seamoth at the same time. On top of the Water Filtration Machine that's constantly on.
Is growing the fish as reliable as the fruit? I haven't found enough space to build an aquarium yet.
On another note, is it worthwhile to build a base in the further biomes? Seems like it's not worth the effort when i can just park my Cyclops there and explore from that. Especially since i can just grow food in the cyclops.
What the fuck is his problem?
have they fixed the shitty pop in yet?
>still no co-op
Haha lole
wait they can teleport you out of vehicles? Even the cyclop?
>Is growing the fish as reliable as the fruit?
absolutely.
You can even grow ampeels which have like 900 power each.
>So far i haven't needed more output than it gives me
If I try to dock the prawn and I need to charge more than 20%, it will drain more than 100 power at once easily. the max energy that the bioreactor can hold is 100.
Cyclops no.
Prawn and Seamoth?
Yeap.
They changed it?
Thank god. Gold was a pain in the ass to get.
he's hungry
>Gold was a pain in the ass to get.
And now it's easier to get than silver.
build a large aquarium full of eyefish and a couple bio-reactors, theres no reason not to make several of them if you need to. Spam like 50 solar panels on your base, and expand for fucks sake.
If you build an alien containment aquarium and stock it with at least 2 of the same kind of fish, they will reproduce pretty quickly on their own. Just take a look at your fabricator and find which fish provides the most food replenishment and that's what you want to stock your containment with.
Building a small base in deeper and further biomes doesn't hurt if you want to replenish on food, water, and power without having to take your Cyclops everywhere. The only thing that gets really annoying is when warpers start randomly harassing your base or when those leach things latch onto your PRAWN suit or sea moth in the moonpool. I've also had a seadragon randomly aggro on my base and start fucking it up for no reason even though I wasn't in it's patrol radius.
Yeah, I don't get this. It becomes plentiful when you have a P.R.A.W.N. suit and drill arm, but by then you've gotten so many electronics built that you don't really need to bother with silver nodes.
I feel like the drill either needs to be a standalone tool that you set up and let it do it's own thing and then check back in a day or two for the resources it's automatically removed from a node, or they should just let you have the suit and drill arm earlier on.
Your ship crushed his lovely wife
He honestly looks too retarded to be scary. And this coming from someone who shits himself at anything living in the ocean.
I'll have to go fetch some fish then. They seem to be getting increasingly rare around my base, but that might just be because i only start looking when i'm at 10% or so.
So far there's no reason not to take your cyclops everywhere, since nothing actually hurts it.
the real fear in this game is getting lost in a maze of a shipwreck and panicking as you run out of air franticly trying to find your way back out
If you play the game and recognize it's roar you'll shit yourself and retreat back from whence you came.
t. Someone with thalassophobia
>Decide to man up and scan him.
>Approach him and use my now useless Seamoth as bait.
>As hes destroying it, try to scan.
>Doesn't work.
>He drops the Seamoth and literally 180's to me without turning.
>Get eaten.
>Last save was before I explored an biome and got all the fragments.
THANKS.
