>the best burnout games were the ones without PC versions
>the worst burnout game was the one that did get a PC version
Really made me think...
The only problem I had with this game is the AI is really bad.
Also Crash Mode is too easy.
But I love Burnout Paradise.
Burnout 1 has a PC port?
No joke burnout 3 gave me my music taste
...
In a perfect world I'd love a burnout collection. Everything remastered with all their respective modes and multilayer and maybe even a mash-up mode of all things togher. I.e. playing on a burnout 3 map in a burnout 1 car listening to some songs from paradise
I miss the Saloon GT from Burnout 1.
Also Gridlock USA was a great course.
>AI is bad
what?
Hey! Hey! You! You!
when the fuck is that spiritual successor coming
Seriously, why did so many western games in 6th gen not have PC versions? Did the PS2 kill PC or something? Did the Xbox replace Windows?
>Had Burnout 1 for GC and thought it was shit because I was bad and could never finish a race
>Years later my dad bought me Burnout 3 for the xbox, but I didn't care because I thought it would be like the first game
>Ended up being my favorite racing game of all time
Thanks dad
>playing burnout 3 while group of people watching me play
>tfw still no new Burnout
J U S T
time to fire up the emulator
>that F1 car buning lap
>No joke burnout 3 gave me my shit music taste
fixed that for you
>yfw when you have 99% of B3 completed expect for that one burning lap
Maybe I should give it a try 10 years later, still have my save file
take that back
it only took be about 10 attempts this time
apparently its better to let off the boost sometimes
where do I get a ROM for this
It came pretty close to that
Every year there would be articles in magazines
"is this the end of PC gaming"
then steam got popular
>apparently its better to let off the boost sometimes
Get the fuck out of here
>let off boost for .5 seconds here and there
>dont crash once
>get gold
You use Google.
It's basically scripted. I can pinpoint parts of the track that, no matter how far you let the AI get ahead of you, they'll be right there without fail.
i dont remember it being like that
i remember seeing you are X seconds aheard
Certain genres like arcade racing games were more popular on consoles while FPS before Halo and RTS were more popular on PC
i love this fucking time goes too fast
I just configured my ps2 emulator. I played this and revenge. I think I like revenge more, but that may be nostalgia. Question: when there is a sharp corner, how do you take it without riding the wall?
drift
Where the fuck is my fucking new motherfucking Burnout? Fuck all that sim garbage, give me new arcade racing games, for fucks sake.
Theres nothing better than 8man drinking game in paradise
never experienced it
sounds fun though
>everyone goes to the airport and fucks around
which button? maybe my controller isn't configured right.
> 2006 was 10 years ago
literally turn and brake
they don't make fun escape videogames anymore. i think maybe jews took over the industry and don't want us to be happy, so we just get war propoganda 'aaa' bullshit and no fun.
what literal button is brake? all my buttons do is boost and rear view camera.
Revenge was better.
whatever button corresponds to [_]
also
OP, you are seriously obsessed with that yellowcard song, i have seen it at least fifteen times in various racing threads
Well, fuck them. I'm fed up with all that western shit. I'm gonna go buy me a Switch and hope the Asian market delivers fun games.
Wasn't the xbox version the best version of this game, somehow?
No
I will give you the benefit of the doubt seeing as some of them have different filenames
>most of the takedowns i did when i was a kid was grinding
>get fucked at the USA F1 race because the other racers are slippery fucks and your car slows down when you grind the wall
I'd like to finish this game someday
Yes, better graphics and performance.
The 360 version of Revenge was even better.
Paradise is the best Burnout, get fucked
It's the most stable one (even moreso than the PC release) but I dunno if that matters in regards to emulation.
My nigga
>traffic checking
>hitting a car into a bus
>hitting a car into another racer
all i've ever owned have been xbox systems and recently a pc. so i've had nothing but edgelord dreary 'realism' nonstop for a decade.
two days ago installed cemu and got mk8 and 3d world. man, i haven't just enjoyed a videogame like that since i was a kid. those are the happiest games ever.
wtf i love nintendo now.
hopefully botw will run on cemu
>Burnout 1 is about avoiding crashes
>Burnout 2 has crash game modes but is still racing above all
>Burnout 3 is DUDE LOL
Descent into shit or acension into perfection?
I couldn't get into Paradise at all for some reason.
Traffic Checking was a fucking terrible mechanic and it's singlehandedly responsible for Revenge being worse than 3.
Nah, 360 version of revenge is literally the peak of the Burnout series, it's all been downhill from there.
revenge took the colour away from burnout.
It was a brown and bloom mess.
Burnout 3 is about avoiding crashes while causing others to crash.
Butnour Revenge is DUDE HIT EVERYTHING LMAO
>thinking its the same person every time
Or you could just buy a PS2 you fucking retard.
>burnout 3
>atv off road fury
>gran turismo 3/4
kinda embarrased, I still only listen to edge alternative rock when I'm alone in my car
NFSU
downhill domination
GTA san andreas
PGR3
because you would have to memorize an entire fucking city map or look at the minimap to do well. fuck open world racing games.
fuck open world meme bullshit period.
i blame it for everything.
Why does Domination feels boring?
Gran turismo 3 & 4 have some good ass soundtracks.
PS2 interlaced component out would look like garbage on today's TVs. Unless you have or are willing to get a tube TV you're probably better off with emulation.
>doing licenses
>beat a test
>oh yea starts playing
it looks exactly like 3, but crisper
That or the original fat PS3.
got that backward mate, I still feel like that song is mocking me to this day
The colour palette is a lot blander but otherwise it looks better.
THE SUN
SO BEAUTIFUL
>stretched to widescreen
>tfw have a perfect modern pop/emo/punk playlist for a burnout reboot that i will never get to use
How usable is PS2 emulation nowadays anyway? I remember looking at it 5 years ago and it seemed like everything was broken as fuck.
alot of the games that i have tried work well enough
its mostly texture glitches that still annoy me
this is why you should have a fat ps3.
Emulation is perfect on this game and you can play with increased resolution and other bells and whistles. I don't know what your problem is, but you should probably find a good taste emulator.
Obligatory. I'm shilling this site every racing game thread and there's nothing you can do about it

Stop stop, my dick is getting too hard, it's scaring me
oh jesus that website
>all those licensed tracks
Yeah without some seriously coding to adapt the old games for new systems and buckets of money to throw at the soundtrack. This will never happen.
>yfw you successfully jump on top of a car and crush it
The big jump indeed

Whats wrong with it?
Is it possible that you could share that user?
A pastebin of titles would be enough for me.
>vertical takedowns
Plebian taste, this is the best Burnout song: youtube.com
thats some good shit
>total explosive payback
yeah just a sec
Yeah that's what they're called, it's been a looooooong time since I've last played.

He's talking about BO 3. Xbox had a way more stable framerate, more particle effects, better anti-aliasing and significantly better loading times. Xbox had native 480P while PS2 version had a Progressive option but real rez came in just under 640x480 (If I remember right it's 512x448 native using a scaler method for full screen progressive display on PS2 but full 640x480 on Xbox). The biggest difference is the textures were higher resolution on Xbox and seemed designed for 720P (Several OG Xbox games had 720P support including GTA 3) while PS2's were way lower so it was possible Criterion was aiming for for a 720P mode on Xbox but it didn't make the final game.
But for Paradise, also goes the same since the 360 got the full suite of updates like Bikes, Weather and Big Surf Island at a better FPS than the PS3 version while PC support was cut off early after the ultimate box update. Xbone BC version locks it at 60 (Compared to the 360 which had slight dips) so that's the best way to play Paradise at the moment.
PS2 version of BO3 is still great, but there's a lot of reasons people want the Xbox version emulated.
man if burnout 3 was on the gamecube we could've been playing it better with dolphin
>EA wont port burnout 3 to origin
No, but you can play Burnout Legends on PPSSPP.
could be a lot longer but there isnt much originality in this genre so i've just picked out my favorites. in a real burnout soundtrack there would obviously be more variety in terms of music genre.
this game is one of the main reasons I still bust out my xbox. PS2 version looks like ass without those emulation tricks
Thanks
HEY HEY YOU YOU I DON'T LIKE YOUR GIRLFRIEND
I know that's not from 3 but it's what most people remember when they think of a burnout game
>keep Xbox 360 for Burnout 3 and Burnout Revenge
>still see shitposts about No Games 360
I HEARD THAT SOUND
A MILE AWAY
