>8-bit warning sirens are part of the boss music
>screams and laughs are part of the boss music
>warning sirens from a VN prepare you for a horrible event
Didn't a Touhou game did this
>warning sirens
Name a more early 2000 sound meme. Even the music and flicks used that sound everywhere
>Boss music changes for the second phase
post em senpai
youtu.be
Name fourty eight games that do this.
>boss uses the regular encounter theme
>music goes in hard as the boss title card drops
Boss sings the boss music.
>all music stops for the boss
>Boss theme is so incredibly edgy even he thinks it funny.
youtube.com
>boss has 6 forms
>boss theme changed 6 times
>2 are orchestra
They're part of the fight but not part of the theme.
>autistic screeching is a part of Sup Forums
>Go into thread thinking it is an Okuu thread
>There are no Okuu pics
>warning sirens are the entire song
>Boss final phase
>Battle music now has lyrics
>Final boss' final form appears.
>Theme opens with a remix of the title screen.

?
>battle themes are catchy and get you pumped as fuck for most of the game
>get into boss fight
>opens with ominous drumming
>boss title cards
more games need this.
haha
SAY MY NAME
>final boss theme is panicked and dramatic rather than triumphant, decisive, or beautiful
Name one game that does this.
Was Axiom Verge any good? Didn't seem like it got a lot of reception around here.
chomp
That is fucking cool. I've been avoiding Akashicverse because it looks so complicated. Is it worth checking out as an actual shooting game?
>Credits song is God Save The Queen
Name one game that does this.
Got any leads?
No More fucking Heroes.
It's a good Metroid game. Longer to beat than AM2R, though maybe not as difficult. I'd say they are very comparable quality wise. Go into it blind if you can. pun intended
The music for this series is only getting better
But that's not a boss song you moron
forgot the other one:
youtube.com
I can't listen to those songs anymore without hearing SiIvaguner anymore.
>Boss laughs at you at the start of the boss music
WORK THAT SUCKER TO DEATH
The game is basically all style. Most of it can be cheesed through with spammable abilities that grant invincibility. The part in that video is actually the player deliberately doing that fight in an abnormal way as a challenge. Using abilities during that phase causes them to get disabled, and then dying while all your abilities are disabled wins the game.
He was right about No More Heroes (2)
>Final stage is the opening theme
youtube.com
That's a shame. But man, that is a cool fucking final boss. I guess I should go play Hellsinker.
Great Mighty Poo
>Distorted, fucked up warning siren-esque sounds which contrast heavily with every other song in the game
Every single drakengard 3 boss and the final boss of drakengard 1
GHES TIS
GHES TIS
>game has this music in it at all
youtube.com
Kirby music is so great
This is pretty cool. Too bad I will never play LISA because of arbitrary bullshit.
bomb sirens scare the shit out of me legit lol
it's just that feeling of imminent nuclear holocaust
>the final boss mirrors your fighting styles
>The warning siren is a sound effect
>Listening to the soundtrack doesn't FEEL right because no sirens
>Final boss's attacks sync up to the music
>final boss analyzes the moves you used throughout your playthrough
>if you know about this, you can bait the boss and counter their counter
>final boss makes you realise he is just like you, trying to make history
>Boss theme is a remix of the opening.
youtube.com
I mean, if you want to know how to make your shmup more stylish, akachicverse is a good source of inspiration, but hellsinker is an example of how to do it without going overboard(hellsinker does go overboard in other areas though, like its THREE separate scoring systems(only one of them is really bad though(spirits))).
>the dramatic entrance music to the boss is just as long as the actual boss fight/theme
Most fucking intense ten seconds of videogame history right here.

42:10 if the link doesn't work.
>Best song in the entire game plays during a small unimportant boss that has nothing to do with the plot
>best song in the entire game just plays whenever you walk into an empty hallway
>the song is like 4 minutes long
>the hallway maybe lasts 10 seconds
>most prolific well known song in a series is redone for a new game
>it's only in the first minute of a stage
youtube.com
Simon Viklund's music carried payday so hard
>boss theme is just voices saying "che" over and over
>Final boss theme is about 3 minutes long.
>But the boss is so piss easy any halfway competent player will beat him in about half a minute.
game?
>evil laughter is part of the boss theme
Excuse me, sorry. 7 and a half minutes. I had no idea that it kept getting better as it goes on, either.
>Boss theme is a remix of the opening.
More people need to play Soul Nomad. If you ever want an underappreciated gem, it's this game.
youtube.com
>Final boss theme is good
>Boss can only be hurt in one way which forces the player to hear the whole song
>Loops a few times too
youtube.com
>what is Ratchet and Clank 3 Daxx Miniboss, Alex?
youtube.com
Fucking this.
Iji is so fucking bad
>credits start rolling
>the main theme plays
>you can fight against an endless horde of enemies during the credits
>music has cannon shots
This is some Geinoh Yamashirogumi shit. I love it.
Is it actually them?
>Game peaks too fucking early and puts the best boss in the game not even a quarter of the way through
>The rest is trash and doesn't even come close, same for the soundtrack
youtube.com
I fucking love this.
>side boss theme is better than the final boss theme
I know undertale gets a lot of hate around here, but still I have to admit omega flowey is one of my favourite boss fights of modern gaming.
Also, his theme song after you get all the souls to help you, holy shit.
>boss theme is a parody of another boss theme
youtube.com
youtube.com
>Boss theme is just the regular battle theme
>Final boss theme is just the regular battle theme
>Regular battle theme is shit
