DO we even know what the gameplay for this game is gonna be like or is it just gonna be a walking simulator with long cutscenes and a 2deep4me eva-tier plot?

Knowing Kojimbo, the second
an "action" game apparently
Open world third person shooter, according to Kojima.

Then why wasn't MGSV received better?
It's the best playing third person shooter ever made. That doesn't change the fact that a huge chunk of the plot remained untold or rushed.
They use the engine from Horizon Zero Dawn, Kojima told a couple of times that it's going to be an open world action game like division or uncharted. Apparently it will have "revolutionary" gameplay mechanic as well.
That's about it.
It feels good, but the mission and level design is lacking.
>Open world
Third person shooter with an emphasis on 'connections', no where near the scale of MGSV.
It always bugs the shit out of me that people get so hyped for Kojima's games even when they have no idea how the fuck they'll even fucking play.
All I'm saying is that people should be hyped for a VIDEO GAME that they'll know how it actually PLAYS.
He's talking bull, Kojima said it wasn't going to be near the scope of MGSV in regards to open world or sandbox gameplay. It sounds like a linear or at least semi-open story heavy TPS.
People were just hyped with Death Stranding because it's a new IP and isn't related to Metal Gear, plus the trailers were weird
My biggest complaint about gameplay would be the lack of interiors and stealth that is truer to its roots. I still will go back to play it just because the gunplay feels so 'right', though. I'm actually cool with the open world bit. I just wish there were fortresses and the like. It was probably something that wasn't considered due to the open world nature. Checkpoints or something similar would be difficult to pull off without losing the player.
I wonder how long it'll be before we see actual gameplay?
I know Kojima's popular, but it feels funny seeing so much hype for something that's still in the bizarre teaser trailer stage.
Nigga, Kojima literally said that once you go open world you don't go back. Once you're able to implement your vision with that scope, it's hard to go back to level based design. This game is going to be open world.
We may get some gameplay at E3. The game's first trailer was unveiled at E3 last year, so they've been working on it for some time now.

Are we gonna play as naked Norman the whole time?
No one that likes Kojima´s games cares about gameplay.
Gameplay>music>[POWER GAP]>Graphics> Story.
I play Kojima games for the gameplay.
it's all abt sticks n ropes man
>“Most of your tools in action games are sticks. You punch or you shoot or you kick. The communication is always through these sticks... I want people to be connected not through sticks, but through what would be the equivalent of ropes.”
No you don´t.
The gun play is REALLY annoying in some regards. Specifically, none of the fucking iron sights are aligned correctly and bullets drop waaaay to fast
it's just gonna be another cinematic 3rd person story game that plagues sony now.
>poi for PPQ with meprolight
Jesus christ I'm glad I went with trijicon for my ppqs nightsights
How does someone fuck up that bad
>implying 2deep4me eva tier plots are a bad thing
>not dipping the entire front and rear sights in Radium
gosh your right
I've failed the Boss
but for real I needed metal sights not that plastic crap that came in on the gun to meet OG Bush import laws
your going to hunt whales on the moon with a flag pole I think
We're whalers on the Moon
we carry a harpoon
But there ain't no whales
so we tell tall tales
and sing a whaling tune
People are excited for the kojimbo ruse cruise
Its going to be another open world shitfest
>eva-tier plot
The entire sum of Kojima's works isn't even a tenth as culturally impactful as Evangelion
It will be an extremely complex game with dozens of contextual button promts, hidden tricks and mechanics you dont discover until the third playthrough.
It will also be like eight hours hours long and encourage you to play in the simplest possible way.
But Eva impacted culture for the wrong reasons. It was supposed to be about getting over depression. Tards think it's about fighting robots. Elitist think it's some deep Christian metaphor even though Anno admitted that it was all for show. It's a damn good story on depression but nobody gets that. The rebuilds are a cash grab and Anno doesn't care anymore
MGS3 is a superb, if overly convoluted, stealth game.
The fact that you are in this thread incorrectly defining its impact as any one thing is evidence of how great its impact was. Checkmate, plebeian.
>Anno "admits" something
>Someone believes it
You'll buy it either way, you'll buy anything with kojimas name on it haha
Box art>main menu music>graphics>story
I'm not saying it wasn't impactful but I see 14 year old girls with phone charms of asuka and it pisses me off. If they don't enjoy it the way I do then they don't deserve to enjoy it. Everyone is dumb except for me.
> I see 14 year old girls with phone charms of asuka
Where? What do they smell like also. Do you think they would be my girlfriends?
SCK girls, they all follow me on twitter cus I'm American. It makes them feel accomplished, they love me.
