You can only post ITT if you beat the game without using an Ochoko cup once

What does it do anyway
I don't have friends and im a sperge so i beat it on my own, pretty easily i must say.
Ochoko and sloth would have been the better thread.
Summon a visitor to help faggots that cant fight for themselves
I didn't even know they existed until ng+ started prompting me about using them for green drops
Haven't beaten it yet, just got to area 5, how much game is left?
I think there's an area 6 and then the first playthrough is ogre.
There are 6 areas in the game, so you're on the second to last area.
I just got to area 6
I used an Ochoko for every boss I had trouble with. Which was Oda and his bitch, The two douches, and Snake faggot.
Whatcha gonna do about me posting here? Huh? Yeah thats what I thought. Catch me and my 320 2kat outside.
I admit I tried summoning when Umi Bozo got on my nerves. But no one joined so I eventually got good and soloed the rest of the game.
How can you summon for Oda and Ice Bitch when there's no shrine?
>and his bitch
THIS. For fucks sake it was impossible to dodge those fucking ice sickles. For the love of God that cunt
There were 3 shrines, and only few Kodoma, so you were fucking barebones Elixir wise. To me it was the hardest boss of the game
>Umi Bozo
The ice woman I can understand, but Umi Bozo was easy if you just lit the fires and understood his pattern and avoided the water
Now the ice woman has a pattern, but once she starts throwing the ice sickles you are proper fucked regardless of dodging
Me considering I'm too poor to afford PSN+
My richfag friend who buys games left and right literally stopped playing Nioh after he used an Ochoko cup for one of the bosses (ice lady) because he felt like he didnt deserve to have progressed through the main story as a "cheater"
Is he being retarded or do people who need help dont even deserve to play?
If they end up doing a Nioh sequel, I hope Sony get involved on a deeper level if it means the game gets a bigger development budget. So many of the game's flaws are down to TN/KT having to cut corners due to how much money they had to work with.
He's hard if you're an impatient faggot like me and overextend your attacks or don't learn his gimmick. He's e-z now.
The stage with Nobunaga was so easy with Hanzo and Okatsu. Summoning would just ruin half the fun
He is retarded
Beat it within 24 hours of release. Sold it back then next day. Didn't co-op once. Good game. Not great.
Not only did I not do that, I completed it at level 1
Unf yeah bruvs, bragging thread or something?
>Beat it within 24 hours
What the fuck? Did you just play it for like 18 hours straight without stopping? Because the game seems pretty lengthy to me, especially if you were playing for the first time and had no idea where to go or what to do.
>I beat the game without leveling up once
At least try to sound convincing, faggot.
How can you Ochokofaggots go on with yourselves?
YOU CHEATED.
YOU DONT DESERVE TO CONTINUE ON.
YOU WILL NOT GET THE SAME EXPERIENCE AS PEOPLE WHO EARNED THEIR WAY THROUGH DID AND YOU ARE PATHETIC!
This might sound dumb, but are the Mission Level numbers supposed to reflect your player level?
Because I'm in the mid-30s and I've just finished everything in the first area. I haven't been grinding, but I make a point to try and clear out a zone (mostly because I'm looking for Kodamas). I've died a few times, but never lost any significant amount of Amrita. Maybe once or twice I've lost enough to level up twice. Most revenants I see are around my level, sometimes even higher.
If the Mission Level is supposed to reflect the character level, it really seems like they didn't balance the amount of Amrita you get properly. If the Mission Level isn't reflective of the player level, this seems way too easy.
tldr; am I massively overleveled or did they just tank the difficulty after the alpha/beta reviews?
I had like 57 so I used one on a stage I already beat.
You get a bunch of weird restrictions like resting at a shrine only once. Why does this matter?
Also do enemies/bosses scale to the number of players?
Daily reminder if you summoned a visitor, you did not deserve to keep playing the game, as you are a cheat who did not earn that mission complete
I'm on NG+, got a few questions:
1) Is there a light armor set better than Red Demon? Iga Jonin has ninjutsu bonuses but ninjutsu sucks. So far it looks like going Red Demon and Enko with a fire weapon stacks the most damage possible.
2) How do you unlock the other 3 regions on NG+?
3) How do I get weapons past lvl 150?
nah just spam sloth talisman
I used the summoning bell in Bloodborne
Fite me
It's better to say u cant post unless u have the platinum. You cant summon for some of the harder shit.
This game is garbage.
Bloodborne >>>>>>>> Nioh

YOOOOUUUUUU
Is one of the trophies not summoning ever? If so it will take me a long time to beat this shit
>At least try to sound convincing, faggot.
You make it out to be literally impossible or something
Here, cry thine eyes out

This is not even impressive at the end of the day. People have already done level 1, no dodge, no roll, no block, no parry, no living weapon, perfect kills required runs.
What was the hardest cheevo in your opinion?
This game is not particularly difficult.
Honestly, it feels like the Souls games are more difficult.
This just seems a bit tedious.
Great game though, love it.
Levels don't matter much. The bonuses are menial. Levels matter because they give you skill points and allow you to wear better gear. The "best" build is probably getting 20 in every stat first so you can wear pretty much anything and get the veteran dojo missions for Onmyo and Ninja.
There is a difficulty meter when you start a mission, wearing better gear and being of a higher level drops the difficulty. Although to begin with, if you're looking for a super hard game, Nioh isn't it.
Personally, I ended up being overlevelled in the first two areas and then finished the game like 20 levels behind the recommanded ones.
All in all, pay it no mind. Just play at your own pace and neither try to refrain yourself nor resort to grinding.
The other regions are not available yet; they will progressively unlock them for free.
Jetstream Sam really put on some weight
Okay, thanks. It just had me wondering. I don't think I have a single stat in the 20s yet. Playing 1Kat so my Heart is highest at around 16ish.
What is the difficulty meter? That 2/5 bonfires or whatever looking thing? I'm trying to play as blind as I can, getting too meta burned me out on the Souls games.
This thread should have no posts in it, end game you use ochoko cups to increase divine drop chance.
He means the duel battle.
They're grave symbols I think. There really isn't a meta to this yet, since there's no pvp.
But once pvp is out, I have the feeling that unless 2kat is patched, it's going to be absolutely broken.
souls games are more "difficult" because they're less responsive and much slower
in Nioh you're not gonna die to shit like input delay, input queues, or any form of character unresponsiveness
>using cups for a whole 2% chance extra drop
Yeah that's definitely a mandatory requirement to stock up on greens
im not a cuck that pay for online so no
I meant meta more in the min-maxing sense. Like for Dark Souls, there were things you could do that might completely fuck your character over, or certain builds that were just so much more powerful or useful than anything else. I got sucked in and spent way more time arguing about it on Sup Forums and reading the wiki that I did playing the game.
>try summoning some fag to help me with
>the faggot is totally useless, does next to no damage, runs around like a retard and the boss becomes much more erratic and harder to predict
>die
>decide not to summon ever again
this shit is useless, the random person that was supposed to help me was a fucking retard, it made the fight harder, not easier
>having difficulty fighting biggie and smalls
>decide to give give the defense down talisman a try
>beat them first try
Remove Onmyo
The difficulty meter is apparently calculated based on your level, the inherent difficulty of the mission, and maybe other factors like your damage output. Again, pay it no mind. Also, it's probably better not to start min/maxing until NG+ since, because of the diablo loot, it gets pretty easy to turn into a behemoth.
Yeah, like I said here I'm trying to avoid min-maxing and just go it blind. Was just wondering if I was really overleveled.
just imagine how pathetically easy souls games would be with Nioh's level of movement and responsiveness
every game would be laughably trivial, maybe even Bloodborne
I just beat Ogress, focusing on 1 kat and ninjitsu. I only have 5 points in magic, am I doing it right?
I summon, use sloth talismans, and have permanent living weapon. Do something about it faggot.
I play Souls games and games with similar mechanics entirely offline. I'm no faggot.
I can't believe a filthy casual like me have actually come as far as the 6th and final region.
I think Nioh is moving in the right direction for games like it though. Souls is/was good, but it grew stagnant I think. Bloodborne was a breath of fresh air with the health system, but the games have always been more about managing stamina than health, and I think that's where Nioh shines.
>waited a two weeks to finish up GR2 and Yakuza 0
>literally completely sold out in every store
>nearest shop says they'll get 20 in next week
>20
KILL ME LADS
There's really no way to do it wrong. Just play the way you like.
I never call for help on my first run through games like these. Nioh was no exception. Still died a little over 100 times before beating it, though.
>permanent living weapon
How?
I made a point to play through every sub mission that unlocked until moving onto the next main mission and by the end of the game, doing that the whole way through, I was about 25-30 levels under the suggested levels (130-145). But it wasn't a big deal so long as you're prepared.
Twilight missions I avoid until I'm within about 15 levels of their suggestion.
>Sure you did.
im pretty sure I'm near the end of the game and I don't even know what that does.
The blacksmith one. Getting and spending 20 million gold is a hassle. Everything else is pretty easy and happens naturally if you explore and vary play styles as you go.
Can you guys share your experiences with online with me? Convince me to get PSN.
Bought and beat the game in single player because I couldn't be bothered to pay for PSN when I've been playing games less these days in order to study.
I beat the game with limited online and couldn't summon/visit, but I've experienced it in the alpha/betas.
I'm playing through Way of the Strong now and considered paying for PSN to enjoy some co-op with some others.
I used some equipment dropped by player revenants. That's about the extent of outside help I had. I slightly regret it, but the Warrior of the West set I wanted was being too elusive.
HOW DO I KILL THE BIG SKELETON?? REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Definitely. The sound they used for the Ki pulse is perfect. At first I was watching my guy and Ki bar to pulse at max and eventually learned to just listen and it became like a symphony of pulses and stance/weapon switching to maintain Ki.
you get infinite living weapon for that fight
extraction talismans recharges the gauge while in the mode with every hit. Pleades talisman increases amrita gauge multiplier so you get more per orb so it recharges faster. Suzaku has an ability that gives 25% more amrita in living weapon mode
What I did was abuse the Axe skill that reduces how much Ki you use when you attack, carnage talisman, fire talisman, and then when his head fell down I went all beyblade style on his head. Killed him in seconds.
Cheer up, Amazon'll ship it to ya in 1-2 months.
god your fucking stupid.
Yeah, that's basically what I've been doing. I did the first Twilight Mission (rated at 15 I think) and it wasn't that bad.
I still have trouble doing the stance switch ki pulse. I feel like 50% of the time, it doesn't give it to me. I must not have my timing right or something, I can do it flawlessly outside of a fight.
You ok?
Start off by moving up to the second level of the arena and baiting him to slam either of his hands onto the platform.
He's liable to do arena swipes that you can dodge 5% of the time if you're good and can't block, the enemies that spawn in that area often drop elixirs, though.
Once he slams his down he rests it there for a moment, so make sure your living weapon is charged up by the time it's destroyed because you'll need it. The golden circles refill it while you're standing in them and prevent the guage from depleting if you're already active and standing in them.
When you destroy the weak point your back up with stun him and his head will fall onto the third level. Go whack away at him as much as possible in LW.
After he recovers he does a hand clap for massive damage, avoid this and you can get some good hits in before repeating this process for his other hand and two feet.
>Finally got Kaido set and axe
Christ this game has a hate on for axes. Why even bother putting them in if you're not going to give them 500 armor sets and uniques like every other weapon type does. Not like Axes need the boost but come one.
I don't think the mission levels mean anything, I've been waaay under the missions levels for the entire game.
the game has been nerfed since alpha because japanese players complained it was too hard
Ninjutsu and Magic only have one set each for decent bonuses, iirc.
Otherwise, the only armor set I see revenants wearing is the fucking Red Demon armor.
Also, good luck, user.
Thanks, some good shit here. Will dive back in soon.
magic doesn't have a real set, does it?
I'm pretty sure most people are just wearing Red Meme armor and then using a fire weapon combined with Enko for the increased fire damage to get higher damage.
It's no different then wearing Warrior of the West armor while using Raikiri and Saikon's guardian spirit for bonus lightning damage. But the reason fire is superior is because it does damage over time, compared to lightning that just stuns enemies. That's why people prefer Red MEME armor over the Warrior of the West set.
Also you can increase recurrent damage for fire if you find items that do that.
nigga i didn't beat the first mission without using an ochoko cup.
not to mention red demon requires only common materials to forge AND is a light A agility set
>compared to lightning that just stuns enemies
Lightning has a nice slow effect in addition to the stun. Some people abuse sloth talismans and it stacks with lightning slow, and makibishi traps. Making the enemy move at nearly a fourth of it's usual speed.
Guarantees you're not getting hit, unless some bullshit occurs.
Not him but it also looks rad as fuck.
It's just hated on because it's so popular and 99% of fucking revenants sport it.
Platinumed it with no summons, Giant Skeleton is worst boss.
I used a different method from what everyone is posting here. It's pretty easy so I'll share.
At the start of the mission, drop down and destroy one of his legs. Make sure you stay near his legs so you don't get hit by his tail.
Once you've destroyed one of his legs, Hanzo will down him. It takes Hanzo something like 10 seconds to down him, during which point you have to dash to the area where his head will be. His head will ALWAYS land on the same platform, so memorize the route up there. If you're quick enough, you can pop power pills and talismans because you're going to need as much damage as you can get.
If your DPS is high enough, you should be able to take half his hp. Repeat one more time with his other leg, and you've beaten him. Don't ask me what happens if you fail to kill him after that because I don't know. But if your damage is good, this is the easiest way I think.
Alright Sup Forums, so I have a Shiranui +3, innate fire damage, no inheritable effects, maxed familiarity, 1 free slot open.
I also have a spy's kusarigama +3, close combat damage as the inheritable ability, also max familiarity.
Go to soul forge, close combat damage won't transfer.
What am I doing wrong? Can divine items only have 5 special effects at all, is the last slot always reserved for in case an item belongs to a set, or is it the fire damage blocking it?
Been dieing in a hospital for a few months. Back home now. What the fuck is Nioh? I see it all over Sup Forums.
Looks like samurai dark Souls.
How do people beat the fight with Oda and his waifu? Do they cheat and sloth it up or what?
Also post Wirriams
post spirit-fus
>Looks like samurai dark Souls.
More or less.
It's more comparable to bloodborne because of the high paced combat. There's only 5 main weapons and 3 secondaries, but the variety of moveset is great because they're separated into 3 different stances.
Biggest complaint about the game has been for common enemy variety.
Red Demon is the best light armor set, hands down. The bonuses are too good to pass up.
I disagree though that lightning is a bad element in comparison to fire. You get a 25% attack and movement speed slow in addition to the chance to stun, it's probably the best element. Fire is great too, water is ok, and earth/wind are shit.
>Damage VS CC
I think most people would prefer stacking damage amplifiers over things that CC the enemy, at least that's what I've been noticing since Red MEME armor is a damage boosting set when stacked with Enko and a fire weapon. Plus the damage over time and recurrent damage increases you can get, ON TOP of elemental damage bonuses as well.
It's a half breed of Dynasty Warriors and Dark Souls, lots of fun.
