same question here. should I install open openmorrowind?

Just play Oblivion, it's better.

non generic npc mods
better animations
idk there is a massive over haul mod that takes care of a lot of shit.

Just google around.

oh and get the morrowind mod manager

At least get the graphic mods. Vanilla Morrowind has horrendous draw distance.

There are programs that will set up everything for u. Search for Morrowind graphics overhaul. I dont recommend the included optional sound mods.

With that said you shouldnt get any gameplay changing mods. Just make sure u build your character correctly and u wont have any problems with the combat.

lol morrowind

Unless you enjoy getting a headache I wouldn't touch this game at all.

Get the code patch and the delayed Dark Brotherhood attacks mod and you're good to go. Morrowind DOES NOT need to be seriously modded.
You should kill yourself.

I hate the less generic NPCs mod. It made more sense for muck farmers to be boring muck farmers, instead of every shit-shoveler being secretly a noble pulling the humble life hiding from their enemies bullshit.

this desu

Morrowind's atmosphere is great and carries the first 20 hours or so, after that it's just dull.

Lol calm down nerd.

R8 my mods Sup Forums

Just play it as is, experience the default and go from there.

dropbox that shit nigga

I like the watercolor mod, i'm sure it's not for everyone though. Definitely grab MGE XE and read up on how to use it. Be warned it can make your fps go to shit even on the highest end pc

For your first playthrough?

Maybe a widescreen support mod, some UI tweaks, font changes, landscape sounds and the expansions.

If you haven't already, get the version off of GoG. Or just pirate it since modern bethesda is shit and the game came out in 2002. mega.nz/#F!XMtWSBTY!3psBczBW2PWwHFvCI8fctQ

Here's some texture mods if you want, too: mw.modhistory.com/download-56-15022

Morrowind Strut
That one mod that adds smokeable pipes
All you need, brah

I'm currently following this pastebin.com/7gF2VLaf , the textures and meshes part is a god damn clusterfuck

Skyrim babbies detected

If you're running Telvanni, go download Uvirith's Legacy. Sotha Sil Expanded is also great.

And Julan is worth a playthrough if you like horny Dunmer with the ability to knock you up.

Currently playing with this, skipped on all big content overhaul mods in favour of smaller tweaks and a more vanilla experience.

There is no point in graphical mods for Morrowind.

Common problems with Morrowind graphical mods:
>fucking trees in the middle of cities
>since Morrowind engine is old and inefficent, there can only be about 200 objects in each cell and graphical mods like to put much more into their cells
>low poly models with high res textures just looks like ass
>the built in fog IS MEANT to hide how close everything actually is

watercolor textures
mge xe
code patch

that's all i feel like i need
idk if anyone else ran into this issue at first, but i had to tell nvidia to use my discrete graphics card instead of the integrated graphics card for morrowind

graphics mods broke shit until i did that

Pleb

I'm playing plain ol' GotY edition Morrowind and I love it. People can shitpost all they want about the combat, I like my DnD dice rolls just fine.

Why are you using LGNPC Nerevarine and Great House Dagoth?

never mod on first play

>Mods?

Run faster mod.

Code patch.

One cannot increase skills through use. One can only increase skills using trainers. This creates a use for money.
It also forces one to pick and choose what skills to develop. I like it. For extra challenge, I made a class which has no battle skills, only utility skills.

Heh....
