does anyone of you actually think the Horizon Zero Dawn is just a usual free roam kind of game with nothing new to offer to the player? The game looks like Crysis 3 and Far Cry Primal trying to have a baby as I am seeing a lot of things in common. What is happening to the creativity in the game industry? Is Naughty Dog, From Software are the only sensible guys who knows how to put together a game?

The media attention that Horizon Zero Dawn is getting is fucking stupid. Just because it is a Sony exclusive doesn't mean that it'll turn out to be a GOTY. After seeing the playthrough and reading reviews, this game has nothing to offer.

The ending that was revealed here on Sup Forums is also fucking crap. A god damn 4 yo kid could write a better plot than that if it is correct. Cheezus.

The reason why people hate this game is because it's an everyman game, it isn't filling a niche like Yakuza nor is trying to be a skill based game like Nioh or Souls. It's the type of game where you can sit back, let your hair down, explore a beautiful world for 40+ hours and still have some action robot hunting style gameplay that isn't as simplistic as Zelda but satifies enough for a fun gaming session.

It's really a standard AAA game with some interesting frills but the thing is Sup Forums secretly loves these types of AAA games, PC users have been trying to justify their $600 cards with them for the last 7 years and their favourite game is Witcher 3 which is literally a 100+ hour cinematic fetch and trail quest simulator. Aside from the SJW shit that is obviously in Horizon, Sup Forums has decided to hate this particular AAA game despite liking them simply because it's on console and getting great reviews.

You'll find a lot of insecure poorfags and Sup Forumstards in these threads who think they are sticking to the big SJW overlords by shitting on it. They are also desperate to justify their gaming habits and platforms and seek validation for shitting on this game because it's an easy target. A lot of PC, Xbox, Nintendo and autistic Japanese-game-only Sony fanboys have basically banded together and decided this is the game that they want to fail because it looks fun and they can't stand the idea of enjoying themselves because they are insecure and think this devalues them as a gamer so they try fit in with the 'in-crowd'.

The truth is most of the people in these threads have low standards for games, they will play games that literally contradict every single thing they say in these threads in their private time but simply come on here to be memetastic hypocritical contrarians and spew hate. I for one am not allergic to having fun nor do I feel the need to adhere to social norms or popular opinions, once I beat Nioh I'll be enjoying this game while retards stay assmad...

Having played Shadow of Mordor for the first time last week makes it impossible to understand the hype around Horizon, which seems inferior on every single aspect.

GTA has decent combat. That's about it though looking at the west. A western game with good melee has yet to be invented. Gothic had the right idea in first 2 games, but tech wasn't there yet.

It seems we underestimated the PS4/Pro and Horizon Zero Dawn. Most of us assumed the game would be shit, but the reviews are telling an extremely different story.. Even worse, we assumed the game would get downgraded graphically, like most console games do. We were wrong.. as it stands, it's the best looking game on the market right now.

I believe we need to begin spreading misinformation on all the forums and social media we have. We need to say the game is bad looking, buggy, with boring characters and gameplay. We can't let the sonyggers win this one. This should have been our game, but the morons that develop games are attracted to these piss consoles.

Technically Furi is Western, though it's not open world.

What really kills it for me is how spacial awareness is completely unnecessary by just sliding and spider-sensing all over the place. And then you try hard mode to turn it off but it's terrible because the games were not made with telegraphing attacks in mind, so you pretty much have to learn each individual attack to get the timing down.

Yeah, Furi is, but combat is also its entire focus. Be a damn shame if they'd fuck that up.
