well all the halos aged very well. the anniversary verison of halo 1 botched the artstyle though so avoid that.

3 was better than both though.

I would have mentioned 2 & CE, except they would've complained of the visuals and physics of the first game. The series introduced me to Sangheili R34, and it ruined my life. I want more.

What I'd complain about CE is the amazingly bad level design in parts of its campaign

After they remade it for the 3rd or 4th time, I can see why their level design was so hashed.

Age of Empires 2.
Sprites are like HD pixel graphics, quite timeless for representing worlds and characters, unlike blocky polygons and shitty bloom effects.
You have games like Diablo 2 where Blizzard choose not to allow higher resolutions because of the zoom out, but AoE2HD has basically adopted 1080p as it's standard res and the level of zoomout vs crispness of the game is perfect for LCDs.

No it wasn't, 3 was worse than 2. You don't even get the awesome human assault rifle until the last hour or two of the game and the story was shit.

Sequel sucked.
3 was at least good, even if the story is boring. It had gunplay and some variety at least.

weapon wheel, no regen health, weapon upgrades, smart AI and general great gameplay makes it far better.

Resistance was the longest FPS campaign I have ever played. And I had to go through it three times for that damn skull skin.
