I liked it :( It introduced me to RTS's when I was younger and now it's my favorite genre. The game hasn't aged well, it's really shitty today but it has sentimental value to me.

It's a bad RTS in the same way that smash is a bad fighting game. If you play it hoping for loads of eSports micromanaging bullshit then you'll be disappointed.
But if you want a fun game that's easy to get into with intelligent units, loads of content, and lots of variety then you'll enjoy it.

Playing it right now. Professor Anders with the leader upgrade that makes siege turrets and Kodiaks shoot sentinels is hilarious.

The only way Halo will die is if the main series (numbered games staring Chief) bombs. Just like how Metroid Prime games bombing won't have an affect on the Metroid main series because it's just a subseries.

It's really quite pathetic that MS doesn't seem to get that 343 killed Halo and that it's been 10 years since the franchise peaked in both popularity and quality. Even when Halo was at its height, Halo Wars still didn't quite hit. Why did they think a sequel 8 years later was a good idea?

The should have made a third person spin off series staring Master Chief that happens in the past and the game played like that cancelled Mega Blocks game but far more serious.

Halo 5's forge is simply not fun. In allowing players to eventually make some cool stuff, they removed any accessibility to it. It takes forever to do basic tasks when compared to previous forge modes.
