I like good games.

>skepticism regarding Zelda
>Splatoon 2 release date has not been revealed
>first batch consoles usually have defects (RROD/YLOD)
>informative cartoon called "Never Buy A Console At Launch" inspired by Schoolhouse Rock
>SMTV, FESwitch, Xenoblade 2 and Mario are a ways off

Because the only game worth playing that's coming out for it I'll be emulating on CeMu.

It would've been a Zelda Machine until Summer so why not just get it in Summer when it's potentially a little cheaper?

>buying first batch consoles

Hope you have that warranty close to you at all times

I'm 90% sure BoTW is Ubishit with Link.
Mario is a long way away

I live in Europe. I can go preorder right now if I wanted to. Probably gonna wait a few weeks.

I've got about 10 games on my Wii U backlog and I'd rather wait for a package

because i was broke the single hour there was a preorder available.

NOT A TARD

this

Because I'm not a 12 year old child who plays kids games or an Obese 40 year old Manchild Pedo who won't let go of the past and realize he's a grown up now.

Actually the biggest reason why is because I play on Pc, The price console niggers pay for games is fucking absurd, Your sales are PATHETIC

fuck off you worthless pathetic autist

because I work at Nintendo and I can easily get one from the store.

Because the only good launch title is 1-2-switch

OP is fag

>Preorder
>Nintendo Console with no games
Fuck You

How is it still not a Zelda machine by summer? Are you expecting Splatoon 2 to launch with a myriad of content instead of a slow dripfeed?

Because I own a PC and a 3DS.

Only fools preorder consoles, the rest of us wait for a decent library of single-player games to build before buying a console.

I preordered Zelda on the Wii U. That's all you're getting out of me until it's proven the Switch isn't a big steaming pile of shit.

-Only game I actually want to play on the damned thing is Snipperclips
-I can play Zelda on a Wii U or emulate it
-Battery life is terrible
-No dpad for the standard joycons because of Nintendo's moronic 2-in-1 controller gimmick which gives you two really shitty controllers
-Fucking $70 for a real controller

Why are people proud of buying systems at launch anyways? That's always a bad idea

Not only did they confirm a more meaty package at launch compared to the first game, but the dripfeed was never a problem to begin with.

I don't buy consoles at launch. I usually wait until the library, plus or minus a price drop, makes the purchase worth it to me.

I did and I can get it at the midnight launch, GAME called me up literally ten minutes ago to confirm the order and tell me when pre-pay is open

Nothing but Zelda until 2-3 months after launch

I play smash, so if i get it, its going to have smash on it.

Until then, No buy.

>buying a console at launch

I think so far the dreamcast has been the only exception

That's weird logic, do you mean you ONLY play Smash?

I already have, can't wait for Splatoon 2 and XC2

I did
I threw my Wii U and some games I didn't play anymore at gamestop and got the Switch + BOTW for 5 bucks

i'll get one when it gets hacked. fuck buying nintendo games. full price for ancient games

Waiting for bundles

Because i live in a thirldworld shithole and i must pay almost $650 usd for console+pro joystick+zelda
it's not fucking fair

>-No dpad for the standard joycons

But there is.

Because here, a Switch + BotW comes to $542 syrup dollars after tax
feelsbadman

i have a wii u already

I'm a poor Canadian so I won't be buying it for another year.

I'm hoping we get a decent bundle near the end of the year

Inbetween jobs and can't afford it right now, will probably buy one later this year.

Because I'm going to wait for a better version and a bigger library of games.

>proceeds to browse steam store for the 500th time this month hoping to find something worth playing

I hope someone does this to a switch on launch

youtu.be/3lqjizadXVY

>nintendo
No thanks, f*cker

Because it doesn't have enough games for me. By the time it will have enough it will probably get a price drop aswell.

>buying a dead console that bankrupted a company was the only exception

Lel

>typical store got 5-10 preorders
>no other preorders available pre-launch
>no additional stock for 6 to 8 months anyway

Because I'm capable of being patient and waiting

>nigger

really makes you think

I bought a Wii U at launch. While I didn't regret it, I was disappointed by the massive drought of games in the first year or two. So far, the Switch seems to be in the same boat. I have no problem waiting a couple of years to pick one up, assuming there's a handful of decent games available at some point.

I did, but I'm considering canceling it. I have a WiiU, so the only interesting exclusive launch title is Bomberman. Would you pay $360+ tax for that priveledge?

Because I can't think of a single launch title that interests me.

>You're a tech geek who has to have everything day 1
>You only owned a 3DS last generation, meaning this thing actually has games for you
>You're a huge fan of Nintendo and want to support them as part of their initial install base.

If you don't fall in to any of those three categories there's no reason to purchase this thing yet. I own a Wii U and PS4 and I'm not going to be a sucker this time by supporting Nintendo day 1.

Because I don't buy consoles at launch when they are at their most expensive, with the least games and features, with no idea on the condition of the hardware. Why would any smart consumer decide to buy a new console on day one?

No money, sorry

>skepticism regarding Zelda

Such as? Sup Forums being contrarian faggots doesn't count bud

>Splatoon 2 release date has not been revealed

Who cares

>first batch consoles usually have defects (RROD/YLOD)

Notice how you pointed out only sony and MS defects

>informative cartoon called "Never Buy A Console At Launch" inspired by Schoolhouse Rock

>Taking anything by that fag brentalfloss seriously

>SMTV, FESwitch, Xenoblade 2 and Mario are a ways off

So? Nintendo never price drops their main consoles, might as well get one early

I just did. Feels good.

I did, but I cancelled it. It simply isn't worth it now.

You cant preorder it now anywhere. Besides im playing it safe and waiting a month or two after it comes out to get my dues paid off, and making sure it works like it supposed to. Maybe a bundle will be out in the meantime

There will be a new better one within a year or 2, I can wait.

>open world game
>graphics look like ass in every screenshot and video ive seen
>combat looks boring
thats plenty reason to be skeptical

I did, but it's also 420$ here so it's not selling out so fast

I DID HOYYYYYYYYYYYP

I don't care about Zelda.

The only game I'm interested in is the new SMT and who knows when that's coming out of if it'll get ported to the PS4.

Because this is Belgium
There's not much chain presence in my region with games, all small businesses, and they are somehow better at stocking stuff.
and ripping you off

Didn't think it would sell out that quickly, and I had just bought a phone when it was made available. Wish I had preordered though.

>Such as?
Not him, but
>Weapon durability
>Voice acting
>Graphics look bad
>World looks empty
>5 or 6 actual dungeons tops
>Lack of cool new key items
>Puzzles won't be nearly as good because you can't do puzzles involving items you aren't guaranteed to have at the time because "muh non linearity!"
>Lack of music
Why shouldn't I be skeptical?

I should attempt to save my money for the time being.
I'll just let natural availability decide for me how long I'm waiting before I get one.

/thread

because
>buying at launch

I'll just get one for Christmas

because Sup Forums is poor

yes the switch defiinitely has more games to play than steam. gr8 post mr marketer

When will the endless Switch shilling end?

Not interested in children's games. Although i admit that not all of the library consist of kiddy games, most of them do so its a no games situation for me.

Because I'm not a scalper.

Sup Forums hates fun

After going through the experience of buying the Wii U day one, I'll never do it again with any console, ever.

>Why didn't you preorder?

Why should I?

No games.

Because preordering a console is silly, you silly Willy
Also I'm fucking broke

>he wasn't around for Wii U shilling
It'll get even worse if the Switch fails.

I'd rather use that money to take a trip or pay bills than waste it on something that'll be a paperweight for the better portion of a year.

But my mom did. Together with Zelda.

How do you do, fellow Mature Gamer

This
Also this.

I don't want one /shrug

i'm waiting for good games to come out

>Claiming not enough games while this exists.

because i'm waiting for nintendo to make a good console

pre-order fag here

Honestly this is the first thread that has shook me about getting this on launch. But I'm so committed at this point. And I didn't buy any consoles last gen. I feel like I wanna get the switch still. But you guys have made legitimately good points. At least a warranty, the place I'm getting it from probably won't have that, how the hell will I get a warranty.

I'm not a nintenshill

My backlog is still increasing right now, why would I buy a one-game-console in that case?

>Paying full retail price for an 11 year old game
I wouldn't even do that for Rance.

i dont like to preorder trash :/

Why do fat gamers hate motion controls?

How long for typical restocking at stores?

I'll wait till they release a special edition

...

>World looks empty
I love people say this when we have only seen the starting area ^^
