The best part of Deus ex is that you can bring the menu up above the logos

Unless it's some low end 2D platformer, the game's gonna need that extra time that they cover with these simple logo clips.

I thought I enjoyed this feature until I got to that part.

This is not the case for many games where you can remove the videos causing the game to skip playing them. After a short boot/black screen load, you're still very likely hit the next short load just before the menu, if the menu is fancy enough to require a time-measurable load at all.

In many PC games, you can disable the intro logo videos (either by deleting them or putting "-nostartupmovies" in launch settings) and the game loads to title screen instantly.

And the funniest thing is, during those intro logo screens, much of the time nothing is even loading whatsoever. In fact, in SFV, the "loading screens" between matches are actually just an animation playing with no loading whatsoever.
