What a big pile of shit.
What a big pile of shit
Delsin will never take my cole's place
It was the same fun but just okay game as the rest of the series.
I liked it.
Ending made me cry a bit.
It was fun, but incredibly short. The duration of the game is only dragged out by capturing every area. By the time you get finish the game and get concrete powers the game is completely over and not even fun.
I'm pissed this game exist. Infamous 2 ending was so perfect, it didn't need a sequel
Why , man?
>Ending made me cry a bit.
What? His brother's death was incredibly forced and predictable, and nothing else in the game was remotely sad.
the sale reminds me I got this game but stopped after getting the Neon powers and being able to get to the other half of the map.
Post your feet.
He's probably talking about the sick dark evil ending.
>launch title
>when anyone is surprised when it turns out to be shit (not saying you are OP)
you didnt miss shit, the last boss is a tutorial
Kylo ren
>some knob wearing a beanie
What did you expect?
that's a disappointment. Might go back to see the ending to the end and get the Platinum.
It was certainly a step back from the first two games but I wouldn't say shit. Hopefully we see what game they've been working on at E3. They've been quite silent since Second Son and First Light.
how was first light?
Shit
Unironically the best in the series
Neon powers are the best of all 5
I thought the evil ending was funny
Aren't they making the new Spidey game? Or am I mixing up devs?
The Ratchet and Clank devs are doing Spider-Man even though Sucker Punch has done three superhero games.
it was rumored to be sp making spider-man but insomniac is making it
I honestly wish they had just focused on the Smoke power, it had pretty good potential, but Neon and Video got fucking broken and felt WAY more common to have places to recharge (Especially Neon) and made traveling too easy, but with vents and shit Smoke was actually interesting to move with, the way you could potentially string more dashes together if you dashed off a rooftop instead of jumping meant it had suprisingly good "parkour" flow.
But Neon and Videos Travel powers overpowered even the max upgrade dash at base level. allowed you to just plain ignore obstacles.
They really should reworked the order you got the powers, and preferably remove Video entirely to improve the other ones.
Concrete was better then most people thing it is just you know, it came way too fucking late to make a difference, it had some pretty fucking nice ideas hough, loved the multi jump/ float, and ballform had potential, should been the second power and had Neon the final DESU, even if getting it would "resolved" the plot, gameplay trumps writing, just have him copy the combat utility from a random or elite soldier and have him need to copy FINAL BOSS to get the "healing" aspect.
Question, are you able to go back to previous powers?
I missed a trophy that involved Smoke powers
i thought the idea of infamous was your ability to change powers. havn't played since release day of the 2nd one though.
Is this the one where Troy Baker voices the main character?
yeah, fuck this game.
Yes. Just find the power source like blowing up a car for smoke, or going next to neon lights.
OP here.
I'm agree with mostly everything.
The gameplay is fine, even fun at times. The big problems I have with the game is the fucked up lore and the unlikable protagonist.
I know it's not a big deal, but that guy needed to shut the fuck up.
I only played it because I live in Seattle, and it's the only game where I can fuck around Seattle in
It's ok. Actually thought the nerd boss was really fun.
>"Go back to Portland!"
Was this some kind of city rivalry/hipster joke? Made me laugh anyway.
Yes you just go up to a vent or something with smoke and drain it and you go into Smoke mode.
It is more that Video and Neon things are fucking EVERWHERE then smoke being rare.
Concrete on the otherhand IS rare since you gotta drain it off a defeated elite soldier.
Nah, Infamous 1 only had you have electricity power, though karma decides if it is PRECSION STUNNING or ELECTRIC CHAIN EXPLOSION.
Infamous 2 let you get Ice or Fire(Napalm) powers as support depending on who you waifu and it was still mainly about that sweet sweet Thundersparking, and Napalm got the shit end of the stick.
SS gives you 4 powers, Smoke(Starting),Neon,Video and Concrete(Post-game) sicne the main character is Rogue from X-Men as a unlikable twat.
The DLC requiring you to actually go online was pointless. I wanted paper powers.
Second Son was a huge step backward after Infamous 2
>The DLC requiring you to actually go online was pointless.
I don't think that shit is even active anymore
Just tried it a few days ago. Surprisingly, it still is.
I guess I remembered wrong.
I might even boot up my copy of the game and get back into this
No. It had none of the charm or presentation of the ps3 games. They seemed like an actual comic story you played through, SS is a fucking tech demo/graphical showcase
>do the entire thing on my evil file
>boot up my good file thinking I just have to do the chases and photography
>it resets your progress on all the puzzles online
This. It was hilariously edgy
Been playing through Infamous 2 again recently to get the evil story achievements.
Fuck its boring and I forgot how annoying the "parkour" is.
You think that's bad go back to the first game
Holy shit
1/2 also had a bit more depth in how you used your powers too, despite SS having more "movesets", because they are just that, SETS, while 1&2 let you mix and match what you wanted when you wanted letting you have ones you felt appropriate for your own playing style without feeling confined.
Went ahead and beat it finally cause it was in my backlog. Just to get it the hell out of the way. The gameplay was typical third person open world canon fodder. The location (Seattle) was boring/plain as hell compared to the gritty streets of the last few games. It was pretty though, but still.
The objectives and side missions were all typical open world shit.
>collect this many of this
>destroy this many of that
>tag up this many walls
just uncreative copy paste mindless busy work bullshit. Someone needs to come along and re-create the third person open world genre. Alot of this stuff tries to rely too heavily on the story, and then throw in collectibles and pointless side quests as 'filler'. Away with that. Someone needs to re-create this genre from the ground up.
Honestly, I wished concrete didn't come so late. If it had been earlier, but not the full package, aka no removing of concrete from flesh, it would have been great to mess around with it. Video should have not outright been a thing, though. I kind of wish we got those Wire and Glass powers that were in the concept art, though - those would have been cool. Paper should've been a thing as well; you've done a shitload of work for that side story, it should have awarded you with the Paper power.
...
here
never mind, 3 gig update is blocking me.
...
>video
>electrical cable
They really jumped the shark on what constitutes an "element" didn't they?
That's wire, not electrical cable
Both are still better then 'Video' tho
and instead we got shoot, run and fly in 4 different flavors, what a fucking shame
It was very bland, it had all the infamous gimmicks but none of the story or powers to show for it. I dunno why they decided to make delsin a fucking chimera instead of letting me focus on one power and getting more either at the final boss fight or a few missions before it. Fucking annoying how I had to keep dying to figure out which power would do the best in this situation
it's a very easy platinum, the "expert" mode is stupidly easy.
Game was fine as a early-gen tech demo that you buy because the console is new and doesn't have much.
fucking you get it, I hate how these perfect ending games are dragged from the grave cause new console gen!
But shouldn't it be rubber or metal? Cables aren't generally made of "cable".
>it's a very easy platinum, the "expert" mode is stupidly easy.
some of the more technical stuff seems complex. Like go through 2 red vents and then comet drop an enemy
It's not particularly hard, there are vents everywhere.
It's fucking shit. I also hated this faggot. The only redeeming quality is his powers. Too bad I didn't experience the first two games since it's getting praise, even here. This one left me with a sour impression.
I was actually surprised when they killed him off, I thought Delsin's brother was going to end up betraying him
>It's not particularly hard, there are vents everywhere.
I did the toe vent thing and the drop but it's not working
Kylo Ren asshole cream
I would assume metal wire, due to the angular nature of the concept art.
So then he should be able to control all metal, not just cable.
I dunno, been over a year since I did it. Can't remember struggling though.
turns out it was error on my end.
I was thinking it was the bigass meteor drop thing when comet drop is "hold square in air"
I need a new game in the series that ignores second son and continues from evil ending of Infamous 2.
You start as a mutie lackey of cole, help him in his war against humanity, possible endings include you going full genocide or reconciling with humans -or being a full race traitor and in some of these cases inheriting cole's beast powers -cole could be final boss too.
SS was really meh. Not awful. But meh.
Understandable mistake I guess.
I was going to say, I thought it was really easy as well. Easiest platinum trophy I have.
Video power should have given you unlimited flight after it was fully upgraded.
