Ultima 7 is the best ultima and wizardry 7 is the best rpg
Started the Dark Savant trilogy on Sup Forums recommendation. Loved 6 but couldn't stand 7 for more than a couple of hours. Fighting is so slow, inventory management is so slow, everything is so goddamn slow.
Damnit I loved Ultima 7.
Remember that moment when you found that carpet with eight seats on it?
The world was your fucking oyster.
>Are you a virgin by choice or by circumstance, Avatar?
>Choice!
Why did I lie, user? That unicorn knew! HE FUCKING KNEW!
That's not Ultima III: Exodus...
>implying 4 is better than 7
I agree wholeheartedly. Quest of the Avatar was possibly the greatest NES game ever made.
Of the eight virtues and three principles, what's Sup Forums's favorite virtue and principle?
Mine:
Spirituality
Truth
Y'know what? I'd like a full 3D remake of Ultima IV. Yeah, they'd have to put in a shitton more stuff to do, but that'd be a cool world to play through, especially if they get advice from SCA folks and medieval cosplayers/recreators who could help make it more authentic.
That would heavily depend on whether Lord British was willing to go through with all that work, of course.
Guess what company holds rights to Ultima, user.
Oh fuck me with a dragon dildo, EA. They'd butcher the fuck out of it, and they're probably just holding onto it just to see who'd pay out the ass for the rights.
Shit.
It's dead as a doornail, we can only hope it stays that way or gets bought by another company once EA goes bankrupt
Fucking seconded.
I'm surprised they haven't had bioware reboot it then.
I wish they'd fan remake it in a different engine like they did with 5 and 6. Those fan remakes were really damn good, even in the shitty Dungeon Siege engine.
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY IDEAS
>thinking Bioware wouldn't try to shoehorn in their bloody good vs. evil duality, thus overshadowing the fucking main mechanic of the game
Play the Dungeon Siege Ultima V and VI mod, Ultima V mod is way better than vanilla Ultima V easily.
They look great and it has the same charm.
Reminder that Garriott is working on this as we speak.

I think we can all agree that the Master System port was the best version
Agreed, though as someone who grew up with the NES version, that NES music was catchy as fuck. I STILL catch myself humming the tunes from time to time.
I want to remind everyone that this game is literal shit, stay away from it, it has nothing on any Ultima game, its literally a mobile game.
Do not buy it, dont make the same mistake i made, i bought it blindly because i loved Ultima and now i hate Garriott, stay away.
>Be richfag
>Launch a kickstarter campaign
That`s not Fallout New Vegas tho
Hmm, looks pretty good, just gotta wait for the full release; no early access stuff for me.
Dont you fucking read
There is no single player story or improvments, even if i hate to do it, go to reddit and read this:

And even more, shroud of the avatar was a mobile game about collecting things that failed:
>Ultimate Collector was the failed game they tried to make when in partnership with Zynga. So very much of what that game was intended to be about has clearly found its way into SotA's housing system and how they have decided to monetize the game.
After UC failed (partially related to problems at Zynga), Port was a few months away from becoming insolvent. That's when they looked at Chris Robert's success with the Star Citizen KS and decided to roll the dice on a KS, choosing $1 million as an amount low enough that the KS would be successful, but high enough they could "get out of a pickle" and still make something using basic Unity assets.
They admit as much in the following video (the discussion of their failed foray into the social gaming space and finances starts around the 41 minute mark):

DO NOT BUY THE GAME I SPENT 100$ ON THIS SHIT
I played it for the first time maybe 5 years ago and it's still one of my all time favorites. Something about the simplicity of the ending but weaving everything the game is about into the last event was 10/10. playing 4 thru 7 / serpent isle is one of the best rpg experiences there is hands down.
The kickstarter game? last I saw it was complete trash
What's a paladin?
