It's a term for an aggressive playstyle, in which a player directs all of their spells and minions to attack the other player and ignoring everything else if at all possible. This is termed "going for the face" as attacks toward other players are made to their portraits, or "faces".

SMOrcing was also developed as a nickname for this tactic, as twitch chatrooms would frequently fill the cat with an emote named "SMOrc" (which depicted a tiny screaming orc face) whenever a class (particularly hunters) would do nothing but go for the face.

The SMOrc icon itself comes from a Warhammer 40k Space Marine vidya, in which the tiny icon of a screaming Ork had the filename "SMOrc".
