LATE NIGHT VITA THREAD FAGGOTS! WHATCHA PLAYIN? EXCITED FOR? WHAT games DO YOU HAVE?

LATE NIGHT VITA THREAD FAGGOTS! WHATCHA PLAYIN? EXCITED FOR? WHAT games DO YOU HAVE?

Hoping that they actually celebrate the Vita's birthday 1 last time and give it a good sale.

I don't really play on my vita anymore. Not really excited for anything. Own like seven vita games, used to play Destiny of Spirits before it got cut. I just don't have a reason to use it as much as my 3DS.

haven't been playing much except the occasional muramasa dlc but i looked at the store today and saw that Darkest Dungeon is on sale for $10! i'm gonna pick it up tomorrow i've heard great things

My Vita will be collecting dust until DRV3 is out.

I played through both discs of RE2, other than classics on the go I dont play it that much anymore, Im really bummed I didnt hack it before the current update.

>He bought a vita

I have a hacked 3ds and n3ds
Is it worth buying a vita at this point?

I don't own a Vita.

Would it be worth getting cheap at some point if I'm not into weeb stuff?

Who are you quoting?

Nice meltdown vita buyer

I asked a simple question that you couldnt answer. Maybe you're just intellectually inept or something. Oh well. Thanks for the bump anyways.

I'm playing through Tales of Hearts R and Fate Extella right now. I'm excited for Ys Origins, Ys 8, Akiba's Beat, and Tokyo Xanadu.

I'm hoping Romancing Saga 2 from smartphone gets ported over this year..

WHEN IS MUV LUV?

>if I'm not into weeb stuff?

Not really? There's indie games that you can get on everything else and a few first party games from when Sony tried to give a shit back in 2013-2014.

If the idea of playing games like Axiom Verge and Rogue Legacy on the go sounds good to you then maybe. Otherwise it's a weeb machine much like the PSP.

I'm thinking of buying a Vita, but which model should I get? I heard there's a difference between screens in some of them, what's the deal with that?

I don't know about the difference btw screens, but I've heard good things about the slim version.

>EXCITED FOR
Nintendo Switch, essentially the Vita 2.0 except no Sony to fuck it over.

...

Haven't used my Vita in a bit, as I've working on my PC backlog. But, here goes nothing

>WHATCHA PLAYIN?
Freedom Wars (fuck post-game)
Megatagdimension Blanc
>EXCITED FOR?
Rose and the Twilight of the Old Castle

PDX.
I can't into Extreme mode.
Waiting for next direct deposit to buy more Import only games and I can't even moon.

Thinking of going back and finishing totori finally, I think I had like 2 months left before I found out I fucked up the ending. All I did was hang out with Mimi. So if I don't get her ending I'll be devastated.

I haven't bought or played anything on my Vita in about a year since my battery went to shit and can only keep a charge for half an hour.

Is there anything i should pick up? I don't really mind playing with it plugged in.

You should probably change the battery. It's not hard to do.

I could do that. But I don't know what I'd play on the system.

What do you have?

Kinda pissed that I'll have to wait until September to play that new danganronpa game. Other than that, hoping for a vita version of Central Fiction. The ps3 controller always blisters my thumb.

Old version has a better screen, but it's not really noticable unless you have the different models next to each other. Newer version is lighter and has longer battery life.
I use the old version personally, but I just bought it and was going to accept whatever it was.

Danganronpas
Miku
Hot Shots Golf
Lumines
Muramasa
Persona
Ragnarok Odyssey
Raymans
Sly
Soul Sacrifice
Super Monkey Ball
Touch My Katamari
Wipeout
Ys

I've had some other games that I've finished and sold. But what's been good for the last year or so? Also where could I get a battery?

What are some games with AI helpers? I hate people but want the multiplayer experience.

So far I got Soul Sacrifice Delta and God Eater Resurrection.

>But what's been good for the last year or so?
Not much honestly. Mostly the usual Indies and JRPGs that keep chugging by.

>Also where could I get a battery?
Ebay, from a trusted seller.

Looking forward to Summon Night 6 and the two utawarerumono games.

Also I'll probably grab Ys8 and Ys origins.

can any one explain why my vita games keep corrupting and i need to keep redownloading them?

>playing
Valkyrie Drive, didn't think i would enjoy it this much after disliking SV.
>excited for
Dies irae, Utawarerumono, ZE Nonary Games and YS8

CF isn't happening on Vita since it doesn't fit on a Vita catridge

The vita memory cards are actually really bad quality. The 64GB one has a known issue where it'll just crap out on you randomly with no warning.

>The 64GB one has a known issue where it'll just crap out on you randomly with no warning.

for fucks sake, this is probably what im dealing with, is this memory card just busted then? this has been happening since day 1 for me

Very underrated handheld. The Saturn of its generation.

>oled barely used
>100$ came with a 32gb card inside
>proceed to sell all my 3ds games because it's hacked to
I just bought the vanillaware releases on vita and it's been great so far. The screen is fucking gorgeous. The face buttons are great, the two sticks are a fucking god send. Also, the dead on this thing feels high quality as shit.

Haven't used my Vita in two years. Use my PSTV mostly. Still waiting for PSP games to be emulatable to replace my PSPhat.

New one. Old one is heavy, fat, and uses a proprietary charger.

WipEout 2048 and KanColle Kai, there really isn't anything else worthwhile on the Vita.

Everyone can get adrenaline to run on their vitas now user. As long as you alphabet 3.60 are good to go. It's really easy too.

Playing World of FF
Waiting for Utawarerumono and Danganronpa v3

Old one. New one is flimsy, cheaply built and uses a shitty LCD screen.

Is the Ninja Gaiden port worth it?

Dragons crown
I'm still surprised that I get random people joining my game

Runs at 30fps with some slowdown.
No.

If you can find one an oled with a charger then get that. The oled screen is amazing

It was an extremely retarded question with an obvious answer. So obvious he really shouldn't have to answer.

I'm actually kinda glad I didn't buy the 3DS since I can just use Citra to emulate. Doesn't work for all games yet of course but Bravely default EO and awakening ran fine.

Why would you buy a second 3ds instead of a Vita?

So how's it for CFW and SNES/GBA emulation?
I love my Vita but not sure what else I'll have to hold out for that needs the latest patch

Only if you can overclock.

Why don't you find out?

Looking to buy one to play some ps1 one. Is is better, the sale or worse than playing them in a pstv?

The same as far as gameplay goes, but you obviously have controller/portability differences.

How is citra these days? I want to play Mh4u with downsampled 4k. But if you can find a 3ds for cheap get it user. It's comfy as fuck playing on a handheld. I haven't used my pc with a 1080 at all other than for work.

Handheld gaming made me like Vidya games again.

I'm asking people who have experienced it first hand? It's almost like this is a social messaging board with a lot of people on it.

It's just OK. But you'll know if it's satisfactory for yourself by just installing it.

Im currently playing digimon story cyber sleuth super excited for the new super robot wars game if im able to get it I would but idk

Make sure if you're buying a vita that it is firmware 3.60 or below.

Anything after that has had the webkit exploit patched and nobody is working on exploits for the newer firmwares.

Haven't really played with vita for months, currently juts waiting for YS 8

thinking of getting either World of FF or Digimon CS

which one's better in your opinions?

3.63 game support never

I'm considering buying a Vita to hack it, are these "Mega Pack" bundles lower than 3.60?

Anything apart from recent japanese models comes new on

Nice. I was going to buy a really cheap used Vita, but the guy for some reason decided to update his Vita before selling it.

RABI-RIBI WHEN???

You get prompted to do it when you format it.

>WHATCHA PLAYIN?
SaGa Scarlet Grace
>EXCITED FOR?
Eh, nothing so far really, but I'm waiting for the Salt and Sanctuary port so I can play it on the go, hope it's well done.
My guess is that they'll probably bundle Romancing SaGa 2 with Scarlet Grace later on for the west, but you'll never know how much Squenix will jew you.

Let's see if images work this time.

that's a lot of boxes to stock

>no where near me sells vita games.
>only games on the vita store i like i have already bought.
This sucks

Just use Amazon or Ebay

That's how it is for everyone senpai. Vita physicals are hard to find.

is it any good

Got a recommendation list?

the company that publishes them in the west usually sells directly from their website

barring that i usually get my stuff from amazon or playasia

also videogamesplus is good

Since you mentioned Play-Asia now is a good time order from them since free shipping till 28th+ 5 dollars off with coupon BLUECODE.
Even works if you're pre-ordering games that won't come out for a while

It's a SaGa game, they're like marmite, you love them or hate them.

I personally love it but it's a pretty different game from any other JRPGs, just like all SaGa games. It is a bit rough around the edges for some things but I don't really mind, the game's well done overall and has loads of replayability in terms or routes, endings quest variations and there's 77 character you can recruit and hunt down, it's pretty great.
I especially like that compared to other games in the series you can fight many characters you may end up recruiting in another file, the lore and general agency in the world is pretty good, it reminds me a bit of Romancing SaGa 2 on that.

oh that's good

im surprised they made a new one and SE didn't banish the ip to mobile game hell

Are you guys buying a Vita 2?

unless it gets a good amount of localized VNs, no.

It's already getting D5 and most likely Senran Kagura, so it's just a matter of time.

Playing Meruru
Tips on first Makina boss?
Will spamming that windmill item thing work?
Tried going at it normally with Elixers and Ankhs but it deals way too much damage once it decides to use that palm-crush move. Fuck that.

those are much, much bigger and popular than the average VN though.
VNs getting localized on the Switch just doesn't seem likely to me.

>vita 2
switch has games though

How many VNs are on Ninty's platform anyway, and would anyone care to buy them?

So, there's no hope then for firmwares later? I bought a vita recently and it had 3.63 firmware on it.. :(

Millions of Japanese otaku are gonna buy the system just to play Splatoon, and the devkits are cheap as hell, so it will get VNs for sure.

>My guess is that they'll probably bundle Romancing SaGa 2 with Scarlet Grace later on for the west
Now that is some wishful thinking. I don't think Scarlet Grace will come to the west, but if that is the case I'd cream myself. Still looking forward to Romancing SaGa 2.

Though if we do get Scarlet Grace it would be fun trying out its battle system due to how battle points are done now.

Im waiting for the carnavak sale to change to yhe second week. Got mortal kombat XL and im waiting for some good Vita titles.

Im mostly trying to finish soul sacrifice.

you could say the same thing about DS and 3DS.
yet only localized VNs we got were Zero Espace and Ace Attorney.

>DS and 3DS.
Neither of those had Splatoon.

Yeah, theres a ton of game who you can play with a hacked vita, you need one with the version 3.60

Thanks m8 for the info.
Saved me some money on SRWV

they still sold a bazillion, and obviously japanese otaku had them too.
yet we can count the amount of localized VNs on them with 1 hand

This. I haven't touched my vita in a month or more. And before that time it was several, only went back on cause I saw senran kagura was free. Why should I even bother? I want to care, Sup Forums.

Well, most of the problems with the series being put in the backburner was due to Wada being Wada and putting everything that wasn't FF on a third place of priority, so the best we got were the DS remakes, which are still almost different games altogether, but the series desperately needed a new mainline, and I can say they did deliver a great mainline game, especially with the non existent budget they were given and little more than two years of dev time.

The game also has a pretty high number of references to other entries, and other games from Kawazu and his teams, so if you know about the franchise and devs you'll be pleased to look for all the stuff they put in, some things are evident, like most of the weapons being from The Last Remnant, others, like certain party members and lore are more subtle.
It's a good game really, I just wanted them to have more time but it seems they're gonna make a patch for glitches and add some extra content too soon, not like the game needs more stuff to do but if they add what they cut do to time restraints I won't complain.
I'd like to but both the 3DS and especially the Wii U were largely garbage in terms of library, I loved my DS but I don't really see any reason to trust Nintendo nowadays, people shit on the Vita but its library it's light years ahead of the 3DS, and the Wii U, let's not talk about the Wii U.
The BP system in Scarlet is great, I think you'd really like it, once you get into it it's really addicting, think something like Press Turn mixed with Grandia's timeline system and even original stuff crammed in, it's a lot of fun.
