Just beat PoR again for the 4th time, this time on hard.

It was still fairly easy

Playing Thracia 776 right now.

Games fun as fuck after you get past the Manster section at the beginning. The atmosphere during those chapters was solid though

I still don't get it, its called Thracia but its not even about the cool parts of Thracia filled with dragons and poverty. Just the boring north

Do you have claude? Or tailito? They should have high res and claude can use any tome so you can get weapon tri advangtage ovee the wind mages

Also make sure to have sylvia visit the specific village in the northern part of silesse. And when you capture the first castle, leave someone there to hold it (jamka or briggid) because peg knights will come after it

Well fuck I just loaded up the game and it shows my last save as being in ch. 3. So I don't know what the fuck happened but I guess I have to do Ch. 3 over again. I think I may have messed stuff up relying on savestates

What happened to the weapon specialized Cavaliers and Armor Knights anyway? Seems like a way to balance those classes, even though you're inflating the class list.

Well that's unfortunate.

The game does let you save at the start of every turn though, savestates aren't really that useful in 4. Just delete the savestates you have if you don't have one from chapter 4

That part is a bitch. I remember I had Jamke die there but I revived him. Try and use units with high resistance tank the attacks, then go on a full-out attack to get rid of all the mages before the peg knights come.

Doing my first run on Binding blade but haven't played in 2 days because of how tedious chapter 14 was. Should I keep going? These maps just feel so large and drawn out desu.

Is there a more epic battle in the series?

Not sure what exactly happened with my save file. Oh well. But I usually just have a save state for after I conquer a castle so that if I fuck up big time in a way the every turn saves won't help I don't have to restart from the beginning

I am very slowing plaything through FE6 as well, it is definitely the worst game in the series, but I don't have many left anyway. If only the fog of war maps where its only problem

Make her move further? You should only just put her in range to pick off one or two of them that are closest to her, then kill the rest when your army catches up to her.

Tried. the army then catches up to her and surrounds her because she didn't move her full amount of spaces.

Gaiden was the first Fire Emblem I ever played, soon after discovering emulation in 2003. It's still the GOAT. If the remake adds in more RNG elements that ruin the other games then it will be a waste.

What level was Lachesis when she died?
Chapter 4 is a lot of mages, ranged units, and fliers, so keeping a low level Lachesis alive will be hard, and keeping her withing striking range for finishing off enemies will be very difficult.

Restarted Genealogy for the third time.
Every time I start with the intention of doing different pairs and end up doing the same.

I literally just started Sacred Stones again. I first had it when it came out and I was eight because one of my friends adored FE7 and was hyping the shit out of SS, but not only was I total garbage at strategy games but I refused to let anyone die without resetting so I never got past the map where you pick which Lord's path to take which I kept fucking up on because I was dumb and kept making the exact same mistakes with the exact same characters who I would use because they looked cool. Or trying to front line with Eirika because she's the hero obviously she's going to be able to body everything like how my starter Pokemon would.

Just beat Heroes of Light and Shadow. It was ok, definitely better than Shadow Dragon and better than FE6 aswell. Did Thracia get a better translation like GotHW yet?

I'm playing revelation, it's only been a few chapters but I'm not impressed so far.

FE5 doesn't get enough credit for its music. It has lots of really nice ominous map themes that set the tone and also has awesome triumphant music for when your army is kicking ass.
Other games may have more technically complex musical pieces but nothing matches how FE5's music complements the game.

Keep 3-5 extra iron and 1-2 extra steel of every type in the convoy at all times, and use iron to kill things whenever possible, save the steel and silver and etc for when you really need that extra damage to take care of things

Follow this golden rule and inventory management will be easy in every FE

Playing Sacred Stones for the first time. Only played Awakening and Heroes before it. I sort of don't like the way they keep throwing more and more people for me, but I guess that's because I'm recruiting anyone I can figure out how to recruit. I felt a bit bad when I started trying to give XP to my healer old man, and then they just toss me a hot chick with much better heals, I don't know if I should keep with the old dude or not.

I think I'm in Chapter 8, I switched to the brother's team for a bit. Seems pretty nice so far.

Not giving Elite or Ambush to Johan/Johalva was suffering.

If you recruit everyone you end the game with 77 units, and the biggest chapters only let you deploy 12

I just recently finished FE4, and I'm going to move on to another game

I finished the Manster arc in Thracia, but I feel like that game stresses me out a little bit too much, and that I'd have more fun with it once a good translation is actually made, so I'm thinking of playing PoR instead.

Should I stick out Thracia? or play PoR instead?

So I just realized that you only get two Arms Scrolls in PoR, and I wasted one on some dumb shit early in the game, so Mist is stuck at rank C in swords

Will there be any other easy opportunity coming up to grind her weapon ranks on anything? In chapter 21 now
