battlebrothersgame.com/final-update-released-beta-branch/ They finally updated the betta branch, it was, like, 5 months since the last update. It's almost done now, only bug- and balance fixes left. So if you want some turn-based Mount & Blade/XCom/Jagged Alliance, it's a good time to buy the game, because they're going to increase the price on the release.
Waiting for it to come out of EA completely before playing it again.
Juan Phillips
It's feature complete already, even saves are gonna be compatible with the release.
Kevin Sullivan
...
Dominic Stewart
I'd rather wait for the bugfixes anyways.
Blake Barnes
Didnt know they finished all the features already, I was going to wait for release. From what i heared it's like The Black Company as a game.
Aiden Morales
If I was a game developers I would have made their game like 3x better with some simple changes
But it's the best game we are going to get thanks to phones fucking up the tactical turn based genre
Samuel Brown
sure you would have
Justin Myers
> I would have made their game like 3x better with some simple changes Like what? Also they have entire "Suggestions" section on their forum, so go ahead and suggest.
Christopher Edwards
So it's like Myth?
Jayden Sanchez
Is the world map really like mountainblade?
Can you own and upgrade castles and shiet?
Aiden Bailey
it's not like myth at all just play myth if you want black company
its real-time like mount and blade but you're always a roaming merc company
Mason Johnson
tons of CTDs and the game is running like shit on my toaster
sad!
Nolan Mitchell
Can't wait to refund that piece of shit. Procedural generation is cancer.
Nolan Flores
> Is the world map really like mountainblade? It's a randomly generated map with cities, villages, castles, roaming bandits, orcs and goblins and stuff. With the update quests are now more context-aware, so if an orc band is terrorizing a village it will suffer economically and they try to hire you to deal with it. > Can you own and upgrade castles and shiet? No, you can't own a castle.
Hudson Long
sounds like exactly my type of game, I just find the art so unappealing. Weird heads, no shoulders, little floating weapons, and just cut them off at the nipple and stick it on a stone plate. Even if they were just simple chess pieces, tokens, or full people would be better than this
Camden Wood
>procedural generation Are you for fucking real? Why the fuck would they do it?
Maps are procedurally generated, both world and local.
Nathan Cox
It's a shitty little studio, what do you expect? Putting in basic features and letting rng make the rest is THE way to put out crappy indie games these days.
Christopher Morris
>another shitty incomplete game with barebones ui, content and animations
If it looks like a flash game it's not worth a buy. We are not in 2000 playing games on ipods anymore.
Alexander Cox
Handcraft encounter designs at the very least, that's what makes tactical games fun. I would drop Shadow of the Horned Rat, Dark Omen and Myth in an instant if i knew that i would be playing against rng shit that i might not even be able win.
Sebastian Phillips
Did you refuse to play XCOM because there was an element of randomness? If so you have shit taste and should kill yourself.
David Nguyen
There is element of randomness and then there is procedural generation for fucking everything. But yes i didn't like nu xcoms, and not only because of rng. I liked the old ones though. Apocalypse is the best one, fight me
Ryan Cox
If you cant look at this game and point out a few flaws you're retarded honestly.
I already explained many times how deeply flawed archers are in this game and how to fix them but they didn't listen. Also, i would start with brother abilitys that are useful out side of combat, like a perk that gives you more information from tracks etc
Angel Smith
>all those mountains randomly scattered around Absolutely disgusting. I have no idea why people put up with this shit. That game would be much better with handcrafted map.
Lincoln Carter
>I have no idea why people put up with this shit. Replayability. I personally don't care how polished the map is, as long as it has more or less sane topography.
Andrew Wood
>m-muh replayability Devs should just give you an option to use pre-made map or generate your own.
Thomas Parker
How to start out on expert? I'm completely starved for coin and never have the time to let my guys heal up
Joshua Ramirez
They should stop being lazy faggots and actually make memorable map and encounters.
Isaac Long
They already did that
Evan Smith
Try raiding trade caravans of people you don't care about.
Jayden Miller
It's good but it is unfortunately still lacking in limbs.
