Do you need help?
>80 dollaridos shit quality components
Beta testers
Just buy the pro controller!!
>Works fine when holding it correctly
>Does not work fine when holding it like an utter retard
Checks out at least.
You are meant to hold it sideways, covering it with both hands, for some games.
Welp
kek, literally no other controller does this
I guess it's okay though
>block sensors of a controller
>surprised it loses connection
JUST BUY AN ALTERNATE REALITY MACHINE! SHIT! CAN'T EXPECT NINTENDO TO DO THIS FOR YOU!
Works fine in our laboratory
>do this with any other controller
>works fine still
hmm. nope! nothing wrong!
this is the equivalent of blocking the sensor on your TV remote and going "WOAH THIS SHIT IS FAULTY"
Its not a remote control. It is wireless.
Last time I checked I can hold my phone in my hand and not have Bluetooth devices disconnect. I can not have line of sight with a wireless controller and have no problems.
Inferior.
On the Wii, if you blocked the sensor, the Nunchuck would still work fine. Only thing that didn't work was the pointer.
I remember there being a problem similar to this with one of the iPhones. Holding it a certain way would block the antenna.
And that was a faulty phone and they gave out free cases to correct it
>not have bluetooth devices disconnect
WRONG. Bluetooth devices will disconnect if you so much as put your phone in your pocket.
What I'm worried about is how it works with the grip it comes with. I'm not going to play the joy cons with one in each hand since it looks too uncomfortable to play it like that unless its arms. I doubt that Arms makes use of the control stick though considering the placement of the second stick.
Really did you get a pre-release?
you know it doesn't bode well if you're comparing an $80 controller to something that uses IR beams just so it can be made for like two bucks
Not a problem for me, use bluetooth constantly, with the phone in my pocket and across a room
not on my TV (and it's not an expensive one)
>literally just re-purposed TV remotes
>for 70 dollarydoos
wew lad
Why does he film below the head when he has the face of an angel.
Holy shit. People are STILL defending the Switch.
I've used multiple devices in multiple situations, primarily with speakers specifically, but more than just speakers. All of them work perfectly with a DIRECT line of sight. All of them had issues when that direct line of sight was removed.
What kind of bullshit revisionist garbage is this post?
I've left my phone in the office to take a piss and still had my music playing through two, Florida hurricane ready, brick walls.
I haven't had those kind of sensor issues for years, since they improved the standard
Seems like there's a lot of interference in your house
...
Wasn't my house. Was outside in an environment with no interference.
These weren't old devices. Phones and speakers from 2015/16.
>tfw can no longer play a game with joycon shoved up my ass
Preorder canceled.
>nintendo defense force
Just rename this board to NintendoGAF
Sonyga/v/ you've made 100 threads today shitposting. Fuck off already, go back to gaf you fucking subhuman
>literally 3+ threads on the front page for this one topic simultaneously for the past couple hours
Yeah man, this place is the Nintendo hand-holding zone for sure
IT'S
thanks for beta testing! :)
You know the human body doesn't obstruct the line of sight of a bluetooth frequency right
so is this it? is nintendo officially finished?
does nintendo seriously expect people to use these like that
>"the controller is broken guys"
>literally covers the controller so the camera can't see his hand on the thumbstick pretending the controller is broken
wow you sonyggers are really trying hard
He blocks it with his amerifat hands and is surprised
You are meant to hold it sideways people.
And apparently, more than 10 feet away as well, as according to the video.
This doesn't seem legit, so all the people playing live with the controller sideway are a lie? According to that webm the controller wouldn't work.
>not licking the shit that nigtendo puts out somehow makes me a sonygger
Good one nintoddler.
Lol good thing there arent going to be an games that require you to have your hand around the controller...Oh wait
>ARMS
you will need girly little hands to use it that way
What kind of 3 dollar chinese bluetooth headset or speaker are you using? With my bluetooth speaker I can walk around my room and into my bathroom and it still stays connected. I walk around with it in pocket and it still works fine.
Console controllers have even better connectivity than these devices being able to work much farther apart..
good thing thats exactly what I have
>Do you have anything to eat?
>Yeah... but its TEN FEET AWAY
>Well, then I guess we both die here
>Yes. Goodbye
post
did the sony bot screw up?
lads please don't tell me the 10 year old Dualshock 3 for the PS3 didn't lose its signal like this
Please don't tell me a 10 year old controller has better bluetooth connectivity than a 2017 controller
Did you even see the video? You need to tightly and completely wrap both hands around a single joycon for it to desync.
So, what you're telling me is that whomever is having desyncing problems with the joycons are the lazy fatasses? That explains a lot as whomever is reporting these issues in the first place.
Yeah let's make a ton of shitpost threads against Nintendo!
>Muh Nintengaf!
This.
Yeah, I always stand in the middle of my living room when I play a game because my hardware was made too cheaply.
The wiimote had better connectivity.
This is literally IR tier connectivity. It may as well not even have a wireless radio.
The DS3 isn't using Bluetooth low energy.
How far away do you sit from the TV?
It does work though, It just has bad signal.
It's like with cheap Chinese controllers.
It's weird that this is only widely reported for left joycons. Maybe that means a high-powered profile mode is already on there but somehow only getting turned on for the right one.
Just easier to notice because L-stick moves the character vs the camera or buttons
No, weirdo
No its cause 90% of game input is on the left joystick to move your character and its easier to notice. It happens to both joycons though.
Reminder that these controllers cost 80 pesos.
So you actually think the controller will malfunction with normal use?
It would be impossible to play games with the joycon sideways according to this webm. What about all the people playing SFII on the conventions? Don't you think they would have notice? What about Mario Kart 8?
>(((Nintendo seal of quality)))
wich kind of pesos?
Oh hai Steve Jobs.
Yes, I do think that a weak bluetooth signal will do what weak bluetooth signals usually do and drop connectivity. It's almost like the only way they got to that 20 hour battery life that justifies not allowing you to charge the controllers without buying an accessory by dropping the strength of the signal through the floor.
>sensors
So... the Switch controllers work with IR sensors?
No, both have the same problem but the left one is worse for some reason.
youtube.com
Nintendo shilled the grip for a reason.
Does your xbox/ps controller stops working when you cover it with your hands? Are you actually aware that IR technology is not used anymore for wireless controllers ? From 10 to 10, how fucking retarded are you?
sideway you don't fully cover the controler, so the signal isn't that weak (I really don't know)
By the looks of it, side way is fine because you don't cover the whole controller with your hand. If you're holding the joy con vertically, you have your fingers wrapped around it which is what causes the signal issue. What I am curious about is how it plays when its connected to the grip.
>want to play under a comfy blanket
>cant
defend this Sup Forums
Every switch station at events has had the tv and console like 3-4 feet away from the seat setup for players.
This setup is not especially uncommon for game industry events as it conserves on space which matters when you're paying for an alotted amount of square footage or a room.
It was nothing out of the norm per gaming events, but home use with more relaxed positions and greater distances clearly weren't the demonstrated angles at switch events.
You probably can. Human bodies absorb BT more than cloth
How do you fucking faggots use that tiny ass controller, same with playstation controllers
>IT IT IT IT WILL WORK JUST FINE! BELIEVE ME! SNIFF SNIFF PLS DELETE THREAD
does the grip has its own signal?
But according to the video, relaxed position is behind your back or completely covering a joycon with both hands. And greater distances is roughly 10 feet away. You need to have some fuckhuge television and an equally large fuckhuge living room, and the complete lack of ability to sit closer for it to become a major issue.
Entire life of holding tiny dicks must have trained them.
JUST BUY THE PRO CONTROLLERS STUPID GOY
My guess no since its just a piece of plastic(unless you buy the one with a charge port). The reason I wonder about it is because your hand does not cover the joy cons as much as it would if you were holding it on its own. This could mean it has a better signal that way.
>NINTENDOFAGS BTFO AGAIN
HAHAHAHAHAHA
so you lived a life of holding huge dicks?
Relaxed position is laying on your sofa with your legs up and the controller in your lap where the signal is lost through your arm, foot or legs. Greater distance is anything greater than a switch event demo, aka further than 4 feet.
Meanwhile outside japan people are also designing controllers.
>just buy more Nintendo Switchâ„¢ only peripherals that you'll toss out in a couple years
kys
Shit that's pretty bad.
So many fucking shitposters, jesus
This is very likely a software issue, it seems like nintendo cut back the power consumption on the wireless card in the joycons in order to give it a boost in battery performance. This will be patched day one. And considering the joycons themselves have a 20~ hour battery life, this is almost a non issue
The real issue is that fact that the switch has zelda, thats it
This is like that old joke you tell your friends:"If you were in a room with 100 dicks and you had to suck them all, how many would you choke on?" The instinctive answer "none" implies that you have no gag reflex anymore.
>its a brony rage thread
WOAH IF I COVER THE SENSOR IT MESSES WITH THE SIGNAL???? WHAT COULD THIS MEAN GUYS???????
