Childhood is when you can appreciate the baseline generic quality of Ocarina of Time and be stirred on by a sense of adventure that's used as an aesthetic basis for your own imagination.

Majora's Mask is when you're cynical and not filled with wonder and you're more interested in authorship than exploring a magical world of adventure and imagination.

I was 12-14 in 95-97, so it had to be something like Doom 1/2, Super Mario 64. Goldeneye, Quake 1, Quake 2, and the popular SNES games.

In 98 it would sure as fuck be Perfect Dark 64, and Unreal on PC (not Unreal Tournament), Ocarina of Time

Half life in 98 as well.
