It's obvious that Nintendo planned for this to happen in order to sell Pro Controllers, which also explains their really high prices. So I guess the paid Zelda DLC wasn't enough, Nintendo had something more to advantage of their playerbase.

Except it's all a lie. If this whole "block the joycon and it don't work hurrdurr" thing is true, then how are the players in this gameplay trailer getting them to work? I saw Shigeru Miyamoto at a Switch Demonstration in Kyoto yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting my signal off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my Joy-con. I walked away and continued looking at games, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pick up a Pro controller I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Left Joy-Cons in his hands.
The girl at the booth was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to sync those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the booth.
When she took one of the Joy-Cons and started trying to sync it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to sync them without holding it “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she sync each Joy-con and put them in a grip and started to say they were desyncing, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
Why would you have wireless interference at your home? It's not like you have 30 switches running simultaneously or something.
