There are a few early access titles that look promising, that at least take another year before they are finished.
Robo Recall should be released in 2 weeks.
And with UE4 and new unity VR implementation will be easier.
Also Bethesda is working on Fallout4VR and D44M Vr, and valve said they will make 3 VR games.
One will probably be just Half Life 2 Vive support.
It doesn't look that bad, but it also doesn't look good.

Super Hot is a good VR game. Now that's it's getting the update to fix it being so short, it's definitely worthwhile. Onward is a decent milsim. All the big racing and flight sims are great in VR. It's not that there aren't plenty of good VR games now, it's just that they aren't the kind you like.

REVII VR was one of my best gaming experience. The game is amazing and have a very stressful ambiance.

VR is more likely to bring a new paradigm, because it applies to all consoles/supports, like the 3D did.

I really, really hope they update Alien: Isolation for the consumer headsets. It was amazing in DK2. Tense, atmospheric games are a whole different experience in VR.

Nice, this, robo recall, and new Sairento update gonna make me play a bunch of hours in VR during the next weeks.

VR is hard. Not only technically, but designing a game to work in VR is more complicated than just changing the POV and camera. All the hype is about overcoming the technical difficulties, but nobody is addressing the game design difficulties. It's why all the games right now are nothing but tech demos for the hardware or easy conversions like Elite Dangerous.

Things like ED or a kind of Mechwarrior spinoff are the easy entry points, but even those are just doing the normal game things and taking advantage of the fact that the player is always seated while things happen around them, which is the best VR option we've got right now.

So it's one of those things that will be a gimmick until suddenly it's not. It probably won't be games that drive the tech, but we'll need some ambitious devs to ride the wave when it happens.

But I quickly found a liking to those active games, dodging and aiming in VR is pretty fun.

No Alien:Isolation. Doesn't have anything to do with RE other than being another atmospheric horror game that played well in VR. They had a VR mode that you could play with Dev headsets, but they never made it compatible for the retail headsets.

Never. It's a niche product. The only thing you can hope for is games with cockpits to properly integrate it. The market isn't there, the technology still isn't there, and because of these two things, the sickness is there and there are no games there.

Sorry, I just thought it was cute.

Ok here is a quick list what I have and what i thought of the game.

Superhot VR - Gud but too short, maybe more worthwhile after update.
Arizona Sunshine - Makes a pretty good impression but is also very short - the gameplay gets pretty repetetive, but what it does it does well.
Elite Dangerous - Best VR implementation, using VR literally makes you better at the game. for space trucking time wasting fetishists only
DOOM3BFGVR - Mandatory, Doom3bfg is cheap as fuck atm and the VR mod is goat. Easily one of the best things you can do
SpacePirateTrainer - Basically VR space invaders, nothing special, no content, but fun. Gud game to introduce your friends to VR
Vanishing Realms - Dungeon crawler unity asset flip, but uses the flipped assets for an actually fun game, its longer than most of the other early access VR titles but still short.
Sairento VR - early early access but promising. Dev updates frequently and core gameplay is goat. Basically you have slide and jump animations for your teleport and are a dual wielding cyber ninja. Wallrun, Walljump and Sliding momentum when you land ducking added recently. Isnt worht the price now, but if they go on like this it will be a gud game when its finished.

Nope, A:I has a great engine, looks great even on toasters, and like I said they already had it working great. You can just have to change the config to enable it. Problem is it only works on the old drivers which only Dev kits function well with.
