no because siege is a casual shooter disguised as those "good ol' tactical SWAT-like games"

WROONG

its a nice mix of both, sure it has the hero class stuff but it also has a very big focus on noise and positioning,

sad

I hope so, but I doubt it. I really want a co-op tacticalish game with lots of content. Like if you took the concept for Division or Ghost Recon Wildlands but actually made a good game.

Rainbow Six Siege had that initial success because it was inspired by "heroes with abilities and perks, totally not ASSFAGGOTS." Not because people wanted an actual tactical shooter.

I was kind of hoping it'd have an inch more depth than just 5v5 multiplayer.

I think so. Refreshing break from grunt man and super soldier games.

R6S will possibly have another season, but there's definitely going to be a sequel.

Obviously that was the initial draw, but people are staying because of the tactical aspect. There's really nothing else on the market that offers the gameplay it does and people are really starting to take not of that through word of mouth.

I hope so. I would have loved to seen Swat4 released but it never was.

>swat4

I meant 5

You mean swat5 right?

Also..Soon....

Siege is many things but casual isn't one of them, there is an extremely distinct skillgap between players across all levels of experience with the game.

10v10 HUUUGE maps when?

Large maps don't really work with the concept at all. There's a reason why two biggest maps, Yacht and Border, are also the worst maps and Ubisoft made smaller ones in all the other updates.

GET DOWN!

What did he mean by this?

STAY DOWN OR I'LL PUT YOU DOWN!

I mostly agree with you but Favelas and the University are the worst maps

Border is awesome, though.

Soon you'll see, and you'll say huh that user was right. Cya!

Favelas is such a fucking shit map

Not growing but im surprised it's been alive this whole time.

Don't know why developers market their games so aggressively as e-sports when they are just casual as fuck.

>Border
>Bad

Incorrect

The worst maps are Favelas and Yacht, with University coming in third.

What a garbage post.

Probably not. Maybe in the indie scene but most people don't care about tactical shooters and even Siege is only popular because it can mostly be played like CoD and has destructible environments.

I'm looking forward to Due Process myself even though I'm not big on multiplayer games.

the biggest multiplayer game have huge E-sports scenes.
those happened mostly naturally though but executives think they can force one

>it can mostly be played like CoD

This is such a retarded meme, no one in levels of respectable skill level plays like it's CoD, which is already a fucking retarded comparison to make in the first place.

I play CoD more than I care to admit and I play R6:S.
If you play siege in anyway like call of duty, you're going to get btfo quickly.

R6 is a party game in casual. In ranked the meta is all about exploiting the flaws in the games code and restrictive layouts/loadouts, so it's about as cancerous as smash.

Except if you're playing a 3 speed 1 armor operator. In this case, just do whatever you want.

Unless you consider peaker's advantage a "flaw in the games code" I dunno what you mean my exploiting.

No, what we are going to see due to Siege and Overwatch and GTA Online is a rise of multiplayer games with free content but with loot boxes that you'll be able to buy.

Playing Swat 4 after Swat 3 just leaves a bad taste, the really good thing it had was the atmosphere, something that is very subjective.

And Takedown shouldnt even be there.

They said they want to support the game for at least 4 years, that they wanted to end up with 70-100 operators.

I just dont like Yacht because of the sides leaving the attackers wide open. Now I dont go there but at the beggining it was a pain in the ass.

"I just wanna pew pew"

Not shitting on Due Process because it looks really nice (those guns look powerfull as fuck and nice to shoot) but that is much more COD then Siege would ever be,

I'm convinced "party game" in Sup Forums-speak is "there are people who are better at me in this game, AND THAT IS BAD"

>Tactical Shooter
>Siege
pick one
Once I heard siege was an fps i dropped the series. Third person is the only was its meant to be played. Just give us RSV3 or a new GRAW ffs you retard game devs.

Fuck off.

Yacht is shit because the lighting is shit and the ambient sounds are way too loud. Border is a great map, the best DLC map by far. House, now that is a shit map, very attacker sided because there's nowhere for the defenders to hide and who wins is determined by who attacks last. It was banned from proleague because of this.
