This is the Skyward Sword of Mario.
This is the Skyward Sword of Mario
Sunshine is actually good though
Good ideas executed terribly? Agreed.
No, Mario Sunshine is the Zelda 2 of Mario. Casuals hate it and the series never reached that level of challenge again.
I agree, it is my favorite in the series as well.
The Perfect Run from Galaxy 2 is harder than anything from Sunshine though.
That would be SMB2 (JP)
Yeah, it's overrated.
most of the game is pathetically easy filler
Yeah but Galaxy 2 is easy as fuck aside from one stage
There are multiple levels that from Galaxy 2 that are harder than anything from Sunshine.
Slipsand Galaxy's purple coins comes to mind.
You're absolutely correct. Fuck Sunshine.
Nah, Galaxy 1 is the Skyward Sword of Mario
>overrated
>easy
>holds your hand too long
>mainline game after it does everything better
No it is the Windwaker of Mario since it's the best 3D game in the series.
Controls made me give up on Skyward
i 100%'ed Sunshine
do people actually not like mario sunshine? it was the best, only galaxy comes close desu
sometimes Sup Forums has some seriously weak opinions
3D world is harder than both if you go for 100%.
It's a hell of a lot of content to churn through, and you need to play a lot of it more than once.
It was pretty rushed and padded out for a Mario game.
That said, Mario has never controlled better. I love the aesthetic and the whole "every song is a remix of the same dog" trope.
Worst 3D Mario
>Mario has never controlled better.
Too bad it's squandered when the only levels that really take advantage of the platforming are the ones without FLUDD of which there are only 7.
Not to mention 7 Shadow Mario levels and 20 Shines are relegated to blue coins.
My favourite 3D Mario game and it does multiple things better than SM64.
>That said, Mario has never controlled better
anyone else loved the Wind Waker/Sunshine control scheme of having the second stick work the camera? I'm kind of annoyed that retard playtesters took that out of later games again
I was amazed Champions Road was that hard even when they let you take in powerups
>Champions Road
Took me well over 200 tries but I got it.
It's not even that difficult, except for steering the lava boat and Secret of the Village Underside, both of which are legitimate PTSD moments
Second stick is always for camera control. That's the only thing it's useful for.
this desu
t. never played God Hand
...
>It was pretty rushed and padded out
So why are we calling it the Skyward Sword of Mario and not the Wind Waker?
Sunshine is more The Wind Waker of Mario - good ideas but only some of them were implemented well, has some padding elements, comes across as a bit unfinished at times, and contains a thoroughly fantastic atmosphere.
There isn't a mainline 3D Mario game that's actually bad enough to have a Skyward Sword equivalent.
