San Andreas was probably the last game I remember being super hyped for before release, and then when I got it it was everything I hoped for and more

Looking back, VC missed so many great hits from the 80s. Quite a shame.

And a revamped movement/aiming mechanics to take some of the good features from IV/V.

Gun fights in SA were a bit wonky for me, hard to explain it

I love all the detail R* put into the environment
It's still fun as hell to travel that map after having played it for over 10 yrs now

you had so many different places from the country towns to the night life in LV to the harbors in SF

GTA V went the muh realism route and so they ended up with a map layout that at first glance seems very realistic and massive, but in the end it's just a compact LA with a bunch of emptyness in the north. An SA style map would've been way more fun to play in, but obviously fun wasn't their priority.

Question - My GTAV crashes at the rockstar logo screen on startup. 3 reinstalls, multiple deleted applocal folders, manually tweaked graphic settings files, and much frustration later, I've not been able to fix it. Forum topics are locked or deleted, searches yield nothing that works for me, Rockstar is as useful as a deflated tit, and I'm starting to get pissed as shit that my GTAV won't work. Anyone ever have this issue that were able to resolve it? I just want to play GTAV. I've played SA to death.

I had an issue with Max Payne 3 spanning fucking YEARS where I would have to constantly do all these retarded tweaks with Social Club so I could actually login and play the damn game, or else I'd just forever sit at the login screen.

Eventually, after years of it never working, I randomly start the game a year ago, and it decides to fucking work, and has worked since. Finally was able to beat Max Payne 3.

Rockstar is utter shite at fixing their shit in a timely manner.

Win7. Not my hardware either. I can run everything near-max perfectly stable. Even tried disabling the nvidia dashboard shit to no avail, and my mouses overwolf app.

It's pretty much confirmed at this point that we're not getting any singleplayer DLC for GTA V. They've already got teams working on other projects, if they were gonna do SP DLC they would have done it much sooner, the first DLC for IV came out less than a year after release.

Is there a way to make CJ say his early game quotes in the by the end of the game? The rich CJ quotes aren't funny.

I haven't played it in awhile, but I doubt it's changed, in GTAO if I try to play in public lobbies it will eventually disconnect me from the server or do the disconnect where it shows everyone leaving the server. It's done this since release on PC, I've tried tons of tweaks, it still happens on a completely different wired connection, it's fucking dumb.

Back before my game broke, I played it and enjoyed it, but god damn it was nothing but BRs. Also had some awful balancing issues.

I think that was just potential ideas they had. Iirc, I heard somewhere that TakeTwo had actually forced them to focus strictly on GTAO, forcing them to abandon any SP content they were planning, and stay focused on the Online aspects. There's also been a lot of inside turmoil following Leslie Bense's departure from the company (who was singlehandedly responsible for getting a lot of game projects cleaned up, polished, and out the door on time and in a costly manner), as well as lawsuits following that whole thing. Also seems like TakeTwo has taken a tighter hold on Rockstar's affairs than they used to.

Whats sad is that it probably wasn't even an intentional fix, but likely an update following GTAV additions to the SC program that just so happened to fix the issue.
