According to the trophy stats, only 17.5% of PS4 players actually saw this through to the end. Are people just casual as fuck or was it really so poorly received by the majority? I just finished it tonight and while it out stayed its welcome and was dragged out with some frustrating sections towards the end, it was overall a pretty good ride. Especially so since I'm a big fan of the movie.

Honestly I don't finish alot of the games that I buy now. Just... kinda loss interest.
Got to the last mission of X-Com 2, just decided to stop playing. Same with Pillars of Eternity.
I was playing on normal and I could never overcome the first time where you see the Alien.
The Alien sees you = you're dead.
But there's such a huge fucking part of the game you got to do with the Alien running after you.
And when it's in front of you, and you're in a locker, you can't do shit, it's gonna get you.
I didn't pay for it, so I didn't feel obligated to go through some frustrating shit to get to the rest of the game, so I just said, alright, I'm quitting right there.
I imagine people found the alien's random wandering too frustrating and gave up.
And I finish nearly every game I buy.
I never finished it. Played it halfway trough and just stopped playing it without any special reason
They're all casual pussies.
I beat that game in a sitting.
>And when it's in front of you, and you're in a locker, you can't do shit, it's gonna get you.
Don't use the motion tracker when it's close as it makes noise. Follow the prompts to lean away from the grid and hold your breath. Unless it saw you go in and knows you're there, it'll give up and leave.
Finished it, haven't touched the DLCs though. Are they any different to the main game?
Most normies don't finish games, and this one in particular wasn't very easy and pretty long. I don't think it's too surprising.
Triple fifty my nigga
How many % got the platin?
DLC isn't worth your time sadly unless you're a hardcore fan of all things alien
It's a pretty good first-person stealth game and very faithful to source material, but it's a bit too much of the same. The ayy lmao itself doesn't feel that varied and the androids are more of a nuisance than actually threatening. I didn't find the game exactly that scary either apart from few jumps, probably in part due to being more than familiar with the main foe already. The plot is also basic horror stuff.
How the fuck.
The alien never, ever, grab you from the "safe zones" as long you don't stay afk there even after he leave or using the motion tracker, hell you can even literally just bait him out by walking around a table.
Plus later in the game you will obtain fire weapons but they only help in the short run because the alien will come back to recheck the area.
PS: The alien AI never cheat, if he spot you, it's probably your fault or a human with bad intentions.
this was AGLs the game, and god was the ending dragged out
that said, enjoyed it
I loved it but it got super repetitive post-flamethrower. Never finished it.
17.5% is fairly high, actually.
As much as I love the game, it does have pacing problems from chapter 11 onwards.
This. I hired it when it came out but had no burning passion to finish it or play it again and Im sure its the same for alot of other people
absolutely hated this trash
I refunded after 2 hours of opening doors
The movie is one of my all time favourites.
I love how they managed to capture its atmosphere down to the smallest detail.
But it's simply not fun to play.
It's fairly repetitive and overstays its welcome.
I just lost interest halfway trough.
the alien has some of the best AI in any game I've ever seen. There's occasionally some BS (like there are certain areas where you WILL get killed if you walk under a vent even if you see the Alien right in front of you) but it's overall a hard but fair game
>mfw I started using the flamethrower too much and the alien started baiting me to waste ammo through feints and then bumrushed me when I ran out
gave me a spook
People are plebs majorly who just buy the heavily marketed hype fest shit. Only a minority try to search for quality games and expand into many different areas.
I really liked what I played, but I got sick.
It's the only game to date that actually made me nauseous.
>According to the trophy stats, only 17.5% of PS4 players actually saw this through to the end. Are people just casual as fuck or was it really so poorly received by the majority?
The majority of people just don't finish games, it has literally nothing to do with difficulty or quality of the game. You can look at trophies for every single game on PS4 and global steam achievements to see this.
I got it on the PS4 and stopped at that part where the guy in the cell is recounting exploring the crashed derelict ship. The game had good scares, but the alien AI was just bullshit. No matter where you were, it was programmed to hover in a radius of 3 rooms to your location.
