I have. It's an okay game, and worth a replay once in a while. but the cutscenes, they're just too much.
>mfw skipping one cutscene, and then 10 others are right behind it
I keep considering buying it but every gameplay video of it I watch shows floor upon floor of repetitive dungeons. I mean, I liked the demo and all but is how quick does it get old?
I actually just started playing it again after I saw it on PSN but holy fuck, I forgot how much it bogs down in the dungeons from chapter 3.
love it as a kid. I remember getting to the rose place final dungeon place and being completely stumped because everything was so hard. I had to use the ridepod to advance, and stopped playing when I got to a boss that the ridepod couldnt damage
I replayed it a few years ago and realized there were 4 dungeons I did not remember at all. I have an extremely good memory so I think I must have bugged the game and triggered the palace to show up way too early.
the dungeons are repetitive but theres plenty of stuff to do after clearing each floor. youll unlock a bit more of the overworld and get hints about the placement of buildings/characters to influence the future. dungeon floors can be cleared pretty fast too if you find the key and door early

Is it better than Rogue Galaxy? I'm playing that right now and kind of enjoying it. Made it to the Prison section but found I had to grind a bit for ability items and money for potions and revives. I was breezing through the other two planets but the prison seems like a real spike in enemy strength.

Monica was one of my first childhood faps. That cat lingerie outfit was unf.
That georama puzzle was the georama system done right..
...
I only ever rented it but I loved it.
Does this and Dark Cloud 1 emulate well?
Not sure about one, but I've emulated 2 with very few issues.
Yeah, DC2 goes pretty smoothly. No idea on DC1, but still a fantastic game. Does not beat DC2 though.
>played the game with my brother and mother
>everyone likes it
>get a revealing outfit for monica
>mum does weird looks
>"that's it for today" i say after minutes of awkward silence
>start playing it secretly hence that incident
>mfw
I loved dark cloud 2 and replayed it from the beginning like every 6-12 months.
But I didn't actually finish it for ten years since there was always something to distract me from it. Game is long.
Still haven't did postgame.
The developers knew which outfit people would go for. They made sure it was the most expensive one.
I used to try to do the bait money glitch to get infinite money and finish the game faster, but i needed to win the Fish Race Thingy to get access to the glitch.
Still one of my many life disappointments.
I had a bug. While i fighted plant boss game freezed. Guys in store refused to believe me so i had i to use my memory card to show them fight.
I traded it for Unlimited SaGa....
Is the plant boss the Giant Flower one? Because if so i feel you.
I had to buy this game +4 times to get the full experience, because everytime it would:
1) Not load
2) Not work
3) Crash at a random spot on the game
It was pretty infuriating.
Played this game as a kid, never beat it but I remember really enjoying it.
The spheda minigame was pretty fun. I liked how each area had it's own little elements that changed the difficulty for it.
It was annoying how each level had 3 seperate prizes, and the later ones could be much better than the earlier ones.
This thing used to give me nightmares as a kid. I could never get the win on those so i'd just ignore them and suffer through grinding to get strong enough to take on the latter bosses.
But i do indeed agree that Spheda is really creative and good game design.
This game has a bit for everyone to enjoy.

I found the best way to do it is to always use the starter club, don't take too many risks and take advantage of the spins when you can. Having half backspin caused the ball to land in place and not roll forward.
