Private servers have been around forever as an alternative to GMS, which went further and further down the pay2win route.

With that said, private servers have always been garbage, because they're put together by amateur programmers who have no idea what they're doing, and as a result, they're full of glitches, poor connectivity and wipes. This one is no exception: some idiot here on Sup Forums (OP of this thread) kept trying to hype it up as a great hope, but now that it's launched, it's completely broken. 90% of people can't login, and the ones that do experience game-breaking glitches in 10 minutes.
