With PC i tend to play only one or two games only. Ive been playing LoL and Maplestory only for years even though i have a gtx 1080. I have tried pirating triple A games to max them out but they bore me in 5 mins. It sucks bc i used to have a good variety of games I consistently played when i had N64/PS1, Gamecube/PS2/XBox, and wii in their respective eras. But after switching to PC, i slowly stopped playing my consoles and kept playing only those 2 games.

Obviously i have tried emulation but its just not the same. I am hoping that with the switch i am able to develop a good taste for games again. I am sure you are in a similar situation since you made this thread, OP.

PC has a larger market in general because it doesn't have to go through the issue of licensing and shit. PC games as a whole are what data it has downloaded to your PC, so there's more freedom to publish what you want rather than let some big-name company claw their way through it.
