OP, I'm selling my Xbox One and buying a switch. My xbox just collects dust since i just play Xbox titles on PC/Laptop these days. Exclusive games are on PS4/PC/Switch pretty much.

It won't be a Scorpio exclusive but the regular Xbone version will be the worst of the 4 versions

Why would it not happen? Xbox Scorpio's whitepaper talks about checkboard rendering and it's not gonna be powerful enough to do native 3840x2160.

if it's checkboarded at 4K it's really only rendering 2x as many pixels as 1080p, and given it's GPU 4x as powerful as the Xbox One, it's got more RAM, much faster RAM, and a faster CPU, it's not unreasonable to expect it to run better on Scorpio, just as the PS4 Pro often runs games better than the base PS4.

I have a desktop with a 6700k and GTX 1070 already so I don't need an upgraded console, I'd rather have the ability to play every game out and the Scorpio / PS4 Pro don't have exclusives.

I hate Halo. Just got it for Gears and Sunset Overdrive which I didn't even finish

Halo 5 was pretty disappointing but at least 343 admitted that removing split-screen was a mistake, so maybe Halo 6 will be good.

Don't give up hope yet. It's clear that microsoft is hiding some of their cards, since they will eventually make scorpio a 9 gen console.. I don't know how that will help you as xbox one S owner, but maybe they will launch some good games befoer that happens.

there are a fuckload of rumors going around that MS will be unveiling some big alternate exclusives this year. apparently phil spencer himself went to japan to go and check some of them out like last week.

Only reason i would, particulary, own a xbox one would be for Forza Horizon 3 / Horizon 2 and Motorsport.
Now, if you have no interest on microsoft games, i don't see a reason to keep it. Since most of their "exclusives" are also on Windows 10.

depends what tv you have and/or what games you play on the xbox. i enjoy playing halo 5 and on a 1080p screen it's pretty decent but the dynamic res looks shit on a 4k tv so i'll get the scorpio when it comes out to play halo (and other games) at better resolutions. other than that the normal xbox is fine.

some guy on the xbox dev team has said a couple months back that the way the scorpio handles back compat will be different to the xbox one and this probably means hardware emulation instead of software. but anyway there were some rumors going around after this based on a tweet by phil spencer where he said he wanted og xbox backwards compatibility and that there were plans for this in the works for scorpio according to rumors.

tldr; i don't think there are any xbox original games but you might be able to play your old xbox og disks in the scorpio if these rumors are true.

Disappointing is an overstatement. Yes, the campaign wasn't that good but the multiplayer is fantastic and forge is fucking crazy with the amount of things you can do.

PS4 launch was horrible but the Xbone was even worse. WiiU launch was pretty lame too. Really this whole gen is just now starting 3 years later which is bizarre, especially since WiiU is already dead.

If you were smart, you would wait for the Xbox Scorpio release and wait to buy a Switch after E3 when they show off what they truly have for it and when they fix the Joycon problems. You never make the dumbass decision to buy a console/handheld at launch.

Preordering the Switch is a horrible idea, especially with the technical issues, lack of software and barely any online functionality. Wait for Christmas.

The Bone Zone was off to rocky start but I like it now. Best controller obviously and the consoles are pretty evenly matched power wise.

The only thing PS4 has over it is exclusvies, and this is what really kills it. Consoles have always had exclusives but I don't think I've ever seen it so one sided before.

Then deal with the systems technical problems, missing features that even the Wii U had, and the fact that Nintendo may not announce the games that you want at E3. It's best to wait until Christmas or early next year when all of this shit is ironed out. I'm waiting until they announce a particular game at E3 to make a decision on whether I want a Switch.

Going from Phil Spencer's comments on the Halo Wars Live Event, there will be console exclusives and Windows 10 PC exclusives in the future and that only some games will be Play Anywhere for both. I think that was just a test to see if some of their Xbox games worked on PC and vise versa but it seems that with some games this didn't work.
